Welcome, to Black Locust Hops Farm Brewery! We are a small, commercial hops farm (the largest in MD) and brewery located on 24 acres in Northern Baltimore County, just minutes from the North Central Railway hiking and biking trail and Gunpowder Falls State Park.
We have our own, small, private hiking trail that leads down to our wetlands area (and beaver pond). The best time of year to view our hops (and join a farm tour) is between mid- June and mid- August. The best time of year to enjoy our beverages is ANY TIME!
Our taproom is open Thursday- Sunday all year, with live music Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. We have 16 taps of craft beer grown and brewed onsite and always a good array of hard, non- beer beverages, like our famous hard limeade! By law, only alcohol made by us may be carried/ consumed on our property.
We are a working farm and do not allow pets on our property.
Close attractions include the Gunpowder River, Prettyboy Reservoir and Prettyboy Dam, The Markets at Shrewsbury, and the Northern Central Railway, scenic railroad.

Welcome to creek-side camping on our picturesque 16 acre farm! Here are a few ground rules to help with your stay -PLEASE READ SO NONE OF THIS IS A SURPRISE-:
-Dogs are permitted if they are friendly and are trained well enough to listen and stay at your site. Again, they must stay at your site unless walking with you on a leash. If your dog inflicts damage to the sites (digging holes, chewing up piles of sticks, chewing up toys to bits etc. please clean up after your dogs. We will provide shovels, rakes if you need!)
- OVERLANDERS: You can bring your overland camper if you want, but you must park your vehicle in the parking spot across from your site at sites 1-3. It is a safety issue to block the entryway/exit lane. Site 4 is large enough to accommodate your vehicle and these rules do not apply there.
-This is a place for relaxation and reflection by the creek. No loud groups, or partying allowed. If your neighbor can hear your music it is too loud. If your host can hear it, you will be asked to turn it down or off all together.
-This is a pack it in, pack it out site. This includes food waste, dog waste, and any garbage produced. Please respect that :) DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BURN ANY WASTE IN THE FIRE RING BEFORE CHECKING OUT. DO NOT THROW FOOD SCRAPS IN THE CREEK!
-There is NO FISHING, kayaking or boating. Go for a swim and float, no prob! But please float in the vicinity of your camp, so as not to disturb other campers.
- Please do not invite visitors to your campsite. This is an insurance issue, no exceptions. If you want friends and family to experience our beautiful spot, please have them sign up and book a site, wouldn't that be more fun anyway!? People coming to our land who are not booked at a site will immediately be shown off the property.
-Due to virtually every booking asking for earlier arrival and later departure times, we are strictly adhering to the posted check in and check out times.
You can enjoy the following on our sites:
- Free, unlimited wood for your campfires. Each site comes with a fire ring.
- Seating arrangements (picnic table, wrought iron loungers and chairs and wood benches).

For the winter months we are closed, we reopen in march. The furthest we are open at any given moment is about six months. We close when hunting season comes in during the fall.
Description of camp:
This is not a glampsite! There are limited utilities here. No Drinking water, just water for the fire. There is a self serve firewood store, you may also forage dead wood. Here only one group may camp at a time. The campsite is a big level hilltop clearing surrounded by acres of woods. There is stone driveway that leads to the site that gets you back into the woods. The driveway is wide enough for trucks, trailers, vans, etc. Since the site is up high it gets a great breeze which helps on warm days and gets good cell service.
The campsite gets great sun and has shaded areas along the sides that make for good tent pitching. We have had people set up hammocks, tents, tarps, or camp in their vehicle. We provide a privy (outhouse), an outdoor showerroom/changing room, picnic tables, and a metal fire pit with grill rack that you can put in the fire pit if you wish to cook/grill over it.
The woods are hilly so biking is not recomended. On the property we have 2+ miles of hiking trails. PLEASE feel free to contact us for any questions. Also please look at our pictures for a better idea of what we offer.
Nearby Activities: A short drive from here will take you to Gettysburg, York, or Hanover. Codorus park offers great hiking and is next to a lake. There are many excellent restaurants and brewpubs nearby, including the award winning Warehouse Gourmet Bistro and Brewpub. For more information read our activities section to find out what other things we provide or have nearby that you can do.
Pricing:
We have a weeknight discount for the site which is 29 dollars (Sunday-Thurdsay nights). Friday night and Saturday night we charge 35 dollars. Any additional guests after five we charge 9.50 dollars per person. We allow up to 10 guests total.
Rules:
Extinguish camp fires that are unattended and to only make them in the designated fire pit, no noise past 9 o'clock, discharging of firearms and fireworks are prohibited, do not bring firewood (to prevent invasive bug spread), keep your pets attended/on a leash, clean up after your pets, no cutting down trees

Secluded River View is a flat grassy space on the banks of the Conestoga River ideal for tent camping. Guests will enjoy 0.4 acre of grass to themselves surrounded by a creek, river and woods.
The site includes a fire ring, picnic table, hammock overlooking the river and swing for kids. A natural sandbar in the river provides a fun place for children to play, and explore (and throw rocks into the river as every kid seems to love to do). The river is normally slow enough to paddleboard, canoe, or kayak. Tubing is popular and there are several places that you can drive to and access upstream and float back to your campsite. Common fish species for fishing include bass, catfish and carp. It’s the perfect place to unplug and reconnect with nature!

Enjoy 8 beautiful, secluded acres on the Conewago Creek at Bald Hill, Northern York Co. My homestead was once part of the Conewago Turf Farm. It borders the creek a length of 1100 feet, mostly maintained with easy access. Camp is at the base of a steep section of the Conewago Mountains, creating privacy and protection from wind and afternoon sun. This is not a whole house rental. I have a one bedroom, queen size bed, kitchenette, private restroom and outdoor shower with on demand hot water. There's plenty of room for tent or van camping. Please see pictures for detail. I live in the house above the glamping quarters.
Plenty of good fishing and paddling here. I offer shuttle service for 1 or 2 day float trips, paddle in one day, paddle out the next day. Canoes, kayaks, paddles and PFD's are included in the price of your stay.
The Conewago is very beginner paddling but remote, very clean and full of wildlife. Gifford Pinchot State Park is 7 miles away. I have two paddle boards if you want to paddle the 3 mile lake. This adventure would require a short hike out to a parking area.
Relax in a wood fired Norwegian sauna and cook in a Peruvian wood fired earth oven or cook under the stars over an open fire. Firewood is also included. Foodies will rejoice here.
I live and work here, part time blacksmith and wood worker. I'll assist you in any way or do my best to stay out of your way.

About Tyme Farm is a 26 plus acre privately owned farm used for crops such as corn, soy beans and sunflowers. The property includes a 150+ year old stone farm house, large historic barn on the barn quilt tour in Carroll County, renovated camping cabin for those not into rough camping, fields, streams , woods for hiking, plenty of wild life and lots of quiet. The farm is surrounded by other farms in the agricultural preservation program yet you are only 5 miles from stores, movies, antiques and other aspects of civilization or entertainment if needed. Enjoy watching the deer come out of the woods and meander along the stream and fields at dusk and return in the morning. Electric, water, fire pit and a Port a Pot is available even for rough campers. Pets welcome but must be on a leash or exercise pen or with their owners in some way while here for their safety. There is a large fenced yard for dogs that just have to run if needed. Glamorous camping with a furnished heated/cooled cabin is available for rent by the night for those who do not have camping equipment or do not want to rough it. For those that have been camping before and have all the equipment there is plenty of room for a tent or camper near the buildings or by the stream or woods. For RV owners there is 50amp electric service in the barn. You will need an RV extension cord to access it. I have a 100 ft RV ext. cord but it can be farther than that depending on where you park. Bring one of your own to be sure. It is a farm and not set up like an RV park with numerous outlets.

Welcome to our fifth generation, mini-valley, woodland, and rolling hills. Empty Cupboard Farm has been family owned since 1918. It is presently planted in soy and corn.
Wildlife abounds, including deer, small mammals, and geese. Bald eagles and Heron even take a pond dip periodically.
Woodland trails are accessible and new tree plantings can be observed.

Blue Ridge mountains 18 miles. Taneytown, 1836, has an extraordinary antique store that is a delight to browse; as well as fine dining, drive through, an open air beer garden and close by grocery stores. Homemade ice cream is found at Baugher's and Hoffmans in Westminster. Baugher's Orchard has "pick your own" available. There is a mini farm animal petting zoo at the orchard.

If you want an amazing memorable experience close to home literally 30 40 minutes tops! You have to come here! When I say this renewed my soul I mean it with all of me! The beautiful land and I can’t say enough about the absolutely beautiful people Gini and her husband Kelly are. When they say they have everything just bring yourself and food they mean it! I had such a wonderful time I extended my stay and skipped the third spot I was going to go too. Every part of being here was everything! I didn’t want to go home! Lol this place is a must!!!!

About Tyme is an excellent campsite on a large private farm, with lots of space and areas to camp on. The host Pamela is very good with lots of information and us very helpful with choices and facilities. There's a beautiful barn on the site, apparently called a "ship barn" for the way the roof was built and shaped like an upside down hull; it's full of birds coming and going all day long. Beautiful views down across the small valley or in the other direction amazing sunrises. The facilities were very good too with 50amp power, extension cables you can borrow if needed and a hose for fresh water. Pamela also provided plenty of firewood as well which was nice. The location is good as well as you're only a few minutes away from Winchester if you want modern life, or you can stay on the farm, enjoy the views, walks and woods and simply relax.

This place was pretty fantastic. The roads are so far out and away you may see an occasional car but you'll never hear it. The scenery is gorgeous, big open fields with the sun setting over the hills. Host communicated well and was very polite. They have a cute friendly chicken that would greet me when I went to use the Porto potty they provided, which was also immaculately clean. Would definitely stay again.

We loved staying on Edwin's farm. He was welcoming. The safari was really fun, unique, and peaceful. We came with 2 adults and 2 kids under 6 so we could all fit in the safari bed, but it'd be tight quarters if anyone was much bigger! We loved watching the sheep on the farm...we had a chance to see some young spring baby sheep which were so cute. The outhouse was clean. The fire pit was perfect for marshmallows. The site is close to Waffle House so we got breakfast before driving home. Great getaway, thank you!!!!

What a perfect spot along the river. Our dogs loved playing in the water and running around the site. It was a little chilly for the humans to go swimming, but we loved relaxing by the campfire and soaking up the sunshine. Everything is well kept and clean, and the communication was great. Fantastic camping spot - we hope to come back again soon!

We loved our stay! Our dogs, and kids had a blast exploring a new place and had plenty of room to let loose. Zach was very accommodating, and when we arrived everything was tidy and well maintained. They provided a free bundle of wood, which I wasn’t expecting. Also, cleanest port-a-potty I have ever seen. It was very private but, not entirely secluded since you could occasionally hear people walking on the nearby trail. An easy fix is if you bring a speaker and music. The view and river access was great and if it was warmer we would have used it more. We will definitely be saving this place for future trips!

We camped at site 3 on the platform and it was lovely. The whole place is very whimsical. The land is well cared for and expectations are clear. We loved being there!

This site was so beautiful! It is right next to the road but there werent many cars driving past. The other sites looked pretty close but I didn't hear any other campers. It really felt like I was in my own little private bubble. The instructions on how to get to the site were easy to follow. I believe this is the smallest site on Scott's land, but it didnt feel like it. Theres plenty of room for a tent and a hammock. I had a great time, saw lots of cool birds I've never seen in person.

The camping spot was lovely under a big trees spread out and great for birding. The sites are pretty close together, if you have neighbors you will see them. Ours were great and respectful. Bill the host was super kind and helpful. He offered us to walk in the property, which had field, meadow, forest and a pond. Super quiet out there, along side a road with very minimal cars on it. We paid for wood and there was SO much for the campfire. Port a pot clean.
We had a great night and fire, but a rainy next day- so we went to New Oxford town and super enjoyed wandering so many unique antique shops and the coffee shop Deja Brew had SO many gluten free pastries/ desserts. We had a great experience at Ponderosa and also enjoyed the quaint town like 10 min away as we got out of the rain.
