We have three camp sites on a 200-acre parcel of secluded, rural farm land. We are a working pasture based farm where you can see how grass fed beef, pork, chicken, and eggs are produced. There's nothing quite like fresh eggs and bacon after waking up to the sunrise over a fog-filled valley!
When you arrive we will provide a complimentary carton of pastured raised eggs and you are welcome to visit our web site (redhouseranch . net) or store to order meats for your stay and/or to take with you upon your departure. We have a wide variety of grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, snack sticks for long hikes, and dog bones and smoked treats for your furry friends. Many of our items are well suited for campfire cooking. Keep in mind that all our products are frozen so be sure to plan for time to thaw. If you're not sure what that involves - we're here to help.
We are a working farm but, much of our property is not grazed or farmed. You are welcome to explore the entire area while also getting a glimpse of sustainable, pasture-based, farming methods. Learn more about us and the history of the farm at our website.
As you roam the hills and forests you'll eventually bump into some of our animals. Please do not enter the animal enclosures or touch any of the electrified fence lines. If you really want to pet a piggie or hold a chicken - just reach out to Ike or Dave and we will gladly arrange this for you.
Red House Ranch is also the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. During your stay you may encounter eagles, blue herons, coyotes, turtles, wild turkeys, foxes, the endangered bobolink bird (its unique call sounds a bit like R2D2), deer, great horned owls, and many unique plants. It's not uncommon to hear the coyotes howling at night.
In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property easily accessible with mown paths. One is very large with a dock and suitable for swimming, paddling, fishing, or just relaxing but the water. The other three are smaller and are now primarily wildlife habitat. easily accessible with mown paths
If you're feeling adventurous, there is a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. We are happy to provide maps and guidance or leave you to your own devices.
When skies are clear our area has very little light pollution and excellent star visibility. It's a great place to view the night sky during a meteor shower.

This RV site can fit up to a 28’ vehicle (longer up to 32' can work, but corner backing in is a little tight; contact to discuss before booking). Site is next to stream, bounded on opposite side by local road (so there is local traffic through the trees). There's a 30 amp electric hookup on site, but no sewer hookup. This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. This spot has an electric hookup for your camper with a flat gravel pull through or back in pad. We now offer a 50 gallon tank of water at the site. There is 1 picnic table and a fire pit with a grilling top The dirt road is great for walking and bike riding. If you want a place to relax and get back to nature, this is your place!!! Come unplug and enjoy an abundance of wildlife, on-site trails and stargazing. We are located in the Finger Lakes Region with all the wine you can taste! While here you should visit all the waterfall trails you can! The Watkins Glen Gorge Trail is our favorite! The Finger Lakes Trail (FLT) is walking distance from "The Hollow" and so is a natural spring. There are horseback riding and mixed use trails in the area. Bring or rent a kayak to paddle any of the several large nearby lakes! Plenty of fishing in the area too! There is a modern outhouse with shower, flushing toilet and sink with running water a reasonable walking distance from each site. A portable camp toilet is at your site due to the elevation. Every site has a fire ring and seating. Bundles of firewood are available for purchase and can be onsite prior to arrival if we know ahead of time.
Owned by military veterans who love the outdoors and live on site in off grid cabins. If you are looking for a place to unplug, this is the place for you!

My wife and I had a relaxing weekend.
The cute little lake kept her busy all weekend catching sunfish and pearch. She even caught a bass, it was on the small side but gave her a nice fight jumping out of the water and doing its best to get away.
The WiFi worked great, the bathrooms were very clean, and the grounds were tidy.
The only thing that keeps this camp ground from being perfect is the lack of grass on the individual camp sights. Most of the seasonal sites had cute little lawns, but the visitor sights had very little.
The owner was wonderful! We could have sat down with both her and her son and chatted the day away, but had to let them get back to work.
We will be back, possibly before this summer is over.

I stayed with my pup and had a good night's sleep. Great location for visiting Ithica. Just needed a place to park my camper van for the night. The site is easy to find and access. Thought it is relatively close to the road and in front of the house, off the driveway, it didn't feel like it. Road was quiet after 10 and had no issue with reference to the house location. Got to meet Z and he was very welcoming. It was nice to have the electric access and despite the rainy cold weather we had, it was a nice stay. Would definitely stay again.

We had such an amazing time here! My boyfriend, my roommate and her partner, and our dog all came up for the weekend — it was absolutely gorgeous. The site was spacious and private; we couldn’t see anyone else around, which made it feel so peaceful and perfect for a quiet getaway. It did get a bit chilly at night, but that just added to the cozy campfire vibes.
Dave and Ike were incredibly hospitable and welcoming — and the fresh eggs were delicious! Would 100% recommend this spot to anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy some beautiful open space.

It suddenly turned pretty cold during our stay and the campground staff were very helpful with freeze warning notifications. We’d love to return when it’s warmer out! My boyfriend and I recently converted a shuttle bus into our home on wheels. This was our maiden voyage and it could not have gone any better. Z’s land was the perfect first step for our trip. Easy to find, peaceful, and close by the state parks which was a plus. We stayed here for 2 nights as we explored the area. Wifi was great. Very convenient to have electrical and water hook up. We had an amazing time! Even with a slight hiccup on arrival, Hosts Ike and David were so sweet and helped us get our meat and egg order before dinner time! We had such a fun time walking around the property, through pastures and woods! Got to meet the cows and pigs, so we will have to be back for the sheep and goats! The site was good for its openness so that one had choices as to entry/exit along with orienting the trailer as you pleased. Interesting approach to the shore power, septic, and water hookups. Being in a concrete "box" in the ground added to the flexibility alluded to earlier. Scenery was good, ground was level, area VERY quiet. We look forward to returning!

Wendy and Dennis have a great site in Lawrenceville. We had our pick of two different spots and had the whole place to ourselves. It is located on a quiet road close to Cowanesque Lake and some very nice hiking trails. The sites were level and well-maintained. They were kind enough to provide a charcoal grill and firewood for the fire pit. The hook-ups were fantastic, with options for 20, 30, and 50 amp. This is a great place to set up base if you plan on visiting the area or are looking for a place to stay if you pass through on a longer trip. We would highly recommend it. The stargazing is also incredible!

I wish we had more time there! It was a last minute booking on our way to New York. We couldn’t have found a better spot. Dark night sky, hot tub, quiet, private, beautiful views. We got in late and didn’t have to do anything other than put up our hammocks and go to sleep. You don’t have to think about locking anything up. We were free to roam the property. We loved the tower view of the sunset. We got to see the Milky Way while lying down on the hill. Our son decided to stay on the hill to sleep for the night so he could watch the stars. The host was quick to respond to any questions on the app.
As someone with multiple orthopedic issues the hot tub was amazing! My only recommendation is to put some sort of railing to step up onto the deck to use the hot tub. Our whole family agreed that it was the nicest hot tub we had ever used.
We don’t come this way often but we will definitely stay here again if we do!

We stayed at Zbarn for three nights while we explored the wineries and nearby parks. It was perfect for a self-contained camper van, as it had electric and great internet. A 25 foot 30A cord with adapters for a surge suppressor will reach if you park close enough, but he also provides a 15A extension cord. There is a mowed strip of utility right-of way in back for walking the dog off-leash.
If you want to dump your holding tank and get a hot shower (or a hike and a swim), a day pass at Watkins Glen SP is $10.
Insider tip if you are there to re-stock wine: go to Northside Wine in Ithaca for advice on wineries to try. They know their stuff and confirmed some of our favorites and ‘meh’ places to skip. There are 150 wineries in the region, and they know them well.
