This is a river not a pool or lake. The river is not always safe for swimming after heavy rains and upstream water releases. Life jackets are strongly encouraged even for strong swimmers and are required by the National Park Service for kids. Swim at your own risk. No lifeguard. Boats: Canoes, kayaks, rafts, tubes, or inflatables - hand carry and launch right from camp. The walk to the waterfront is less than 2 minutes from parking down a stone trail. We are a working blueberry and flower farm near the town of Tunkhannock, in the Endless Mountains Region of Pennsylvania. We also have nature and some fun recreational opportunities both on property and close by. On our property we have an 18 hole disc golf course (more info can be found on Udisc or Facebook page "Campsite Disc Golf"). The course has all PDGA approved chain baskets with wood chip or grass tee boxes. We are constantly upgrading the course, it gets better every year! We have some beautiful places for walks (or easy hikes) including walking the course even if you don't play disc golf....it makes for some nice clear trails through the woods. There is a 2 1/2 acre pond where you are welcome to kayak, canoe or paddleboard. A 10 acre swamp, a small creek (that does often dry up in the summer....it's beautiful in the spring), and bountiful wildlife. Nearby are many more recreational opportunities. Within driving distances varying from 5 minutes to an hour (most things within 20 minutes) are a river, two creeks, several lakes (all with public boat access, some with swimming), hiking and biking trails, wineries, brewery, restaurants, a movie theater and shopping (grocery stores and the small downtown are less than 10 minutes). We can provide more information and directions for any activities you are interested in. Our private road which leads to the areas available for camping has only one resident who lives past (with access rights to use the road to get to his property) so it is secluded with no traffic. It can be very dark on moonless nights which is fantastic for stargazing. Intrepid winter campers will find the sky is most crisp clear and incredible in the winter....but the summer is still quite spectacular. Blueberry season is all of July and spilling into August (although winding down by then). During that time the Grassy corner site is more out of the way and quieter. The Most Convenient Woods is close but separate, no one except a passing disc golfer can easily look into your site. You will hear activity in the blueberry field during the day. Possibly including a noise maker that makes a periodic boom in the mornings to keep the birds from stealing all the berries (we are looking for quieter bird scaring options for the future). We try to keep that to a minimum especially if campers are present but can't promise silence. The noise maker is turned off as soon as customers are present so it is just a little while in the morning.

A peaceful, relaxing grassy space where you can set up tents, cars, or vans for camping creekside surrounded by woods. Our property features private creek access, a fire pit with tons of campfire wood, and a clean portapotty for guests to use. There is also seating areas at the creek for guests to enjoy. We have many deer who call our property home so you should expect to see them almost daily. We also have a variety of other animals including raccoons, farm cats, and tons of birds including woodpeckers. We do live in an agricultural area so at times, you may hear farm equipment or cows. We also live near the Numidia Dragstrip and you may hear the races at times too. Attractions very close by include Knoebels Amusement Park (voted #1 in the Country and still free admission), Numidia Raceway, and Weiser State Forest. There are plenty of farms and shops to check out including Rohrbach's Farm Store and agro tourism space, Catawissa Opera House, and Roaring Creek Provisions. Plus, we have tons of restaurants within a 20 minute drive. In addition, Calm Creek has an onsite healing studio where you can book a personal energy healing session, Reiki, or card reading sessions. We do live onsite and you may see us at times walking our golden retriever or having a campfire down at the creek. You do have your own personal space where you will be camping.

Welcome Hikers!!! Our Campground is located at the base of the Red Rock Mountain where 487 meets 118 in Benton, Pennsylvania! We offer 23 spacious tent sites, cabins, and a RV Park with full hook up, 30 amp electric. We are a no frills campground, pitch your tent and enjoy nature! We are the closest campground to the beautiful Ricketts Glen State Park. Less than a mile from the lower parking area. We’re open April-October and we fill up fast!

The land was beautiful and very peaceful up in the second tier of RV sites. We had ample shade and some great views out down the hillside. We saw a lot of deer and the hiking trails looked very enticing (timing didn't allow much exploration).

3 nights at Lakeside Campground

My wife and I had a relaxing weekend. The cute little lake kept her busy all weekend catching sunfish and pearch. She even caught a bass, it was on the small side but gave her a nice fight jumping out of the water and doing its best to get away. The WiFi worked great, the bathrooms were very clean, and the grounds were tidy. The only thing that keeps this camp ground from being perfect is the lack of grass on the individual camp sights. Most of the seasonal sites had cute little lawns, but the visitor sights had very little. The owner was wonderful! We could have sat down with both her and her son and chatted the day away, but had to let them get back to work. We will be back, possibly before this summer is over.

We really enjoyed the campsite. The campground staff were friendly and very helpful. It suddenly turned pretty cold during our stay and the campground staff were very helpful with freeze warning notifications. We’d love to return when it’s warmer out! Penny was very good with communication and I would recommend this site!

This was our first time out in our hybrid pop out and this particular site was perfect for us. When we arrived, check in was easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved this site because it was facing the open yard area which was great for our 4 and 1 year old to run around in. We liked being near the exit too because it gave us a little extra space to navigate parking and setting up. Overall a great experience. Penny was easy to communicate with and a great host!

My wife and I were welcomed and as brand new to using our travel trailer we had lot’s of questions. The pull through site in the pavilion was perfect for someone just learning how to drive/tow/ park. The staff was friendly and our camping neighbors were wonderful.

Weekend Trip to Cranberry Run Campground

We loved our weekend at Cranberry Run Campground! Very low key all around. The RV sites were easy to access and pretty spacious. The whole campground was nicely spread out and we enjoyed walking around. Everyone we encountered was nice. Very family and dog friendly. My kids loved the arcade (and the assortment of bikes/scooters and board games) and despite being a little chilly we enjoyed the pool! They offer events (paint and sip, live music, pig roast, etc) most weekends and the seasonal campers we talked to raved about all that’s offered. Defineitly feels like a old school family run campground full of good vibes. We will defineitly return! Thanks for a memorable weekend.
