- Our tent sites are rustic with NO electric or running water. We allow responsible use of the stream for cleaning. Please bring along potable water. Cabins have electric, but no indoor plumbing. Porta-Johns are available throughout the grounds. Cabins have a rustic outdoor shower available MID May- MID October. Please inquire for camper vans and pop ups.
-Listing price is based on 2 guests per night. Please ensure correct headcount when booking.
- FIREWOOD: We have firewood for sale for $7 per crate. You can pick and crate your wood at the wood pile on the grounds at your convenience. Please bring cash if possible or get in touch at the end of your stay to pay via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle.
-We have a variety of wildlife in the area, including BLACK BEARS. Please follow 'Leave No Trace' protocols and be mindful of trash and food throughout your stay. Keep your coolers in your vehicles and take garbage to the dumpster frequently. We have a dumpster available to you on the grounds.
-Check in is contactless. Upon booking, you will receive directions to your site.
**If you would like to stay for one night during the week or one night on a weekend during November-April, please get in touch and I can adjust the booking specifications. Otherwise, weekends are typically a two night minimum mid May through October. Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend are a three night minimum.**

The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. We had a group not understand this so I want to make sure it is clear.

Sixty acres of magical trees, a one acre pond, and a three acre field. From the road there is a two hundred foot elevation gain to the top of the hill. Along the way are several hundred feet of rock ledges, caves, and critters. Most of the land is sloping, but the hilltop is flat as a table, with prehistoric-looking ferns under a dense canopy of mature trees.
The campsites are ultra secluded- about a quarter mile apart from each other. All sites include a fire pit, cooking grate, picnic table, and sites 2&3 have platforms.
Camp ONE: is on the top of the hill, and a small car can be driven to within 150 feet of it. It is pretty flat, and surrounded by blackberry bushes, ferns, and trees.
Camp TWO: is on a bluff overlooking a picturesque swamp, filled with hemlock trees and ferns. This site can not be driven to with anything less than a high clearance SUV (ie- jeep wrangler), so I consider it a hike in site. It is under a ten minute walk from the pond and parking lot, but the view and feel is worth it. (It has been brought to our attention that there is occasionally a group riding atvs on a neighboring property that are audible from this site. We have no control over what time it happens, so please keep this in mind)
Camp THREE: is accessible with a four wheel drive vehicle, something at least as high as an SUV. It is the closest to the house and pond, but still far enough to feel secluded and completely private. If you choose to walk there, it’s only a couple minutes from the parking area.
Throughout the property, there are many quiet places to hang out, flat spots to do yoga, trails to explore, and fishing and swimming in the beautiful pond. We are also just ten minutes from the Upper Delaware River, and all it has to offer.

Host Interaction: We are off site most dates in the Fall but if we are around we’ll say hi when you check in.
Access Logistics: Self check-in/out. Borrow the rugged garden cart to haul gear to your site. Trails use reflective markers for easy night navigation.
Liability Waiver and Rules: You'll get a link to e-sign before arrival. One per family or unrelated adult guest.
Waterfall intensity: Varies with weather. Expect a whitewater torrent after very heavy rain or snowmelt or just a steady spring-fed trickle during droughts.
What's nearby? Hancock NY (15 mins), Honesdale PA (20 mins), Bethel and Livingston Manor NY (45 mins). Rent boats and get Delaware River shuttle service from local business O.A.R.S. Of Hancock.
Running Water for outdoor sink and shower: Available May through Mid October. Frosty late Fall bookings - please bring your own drinking water. Hot tub is creek-fed and will work until things freeze over.
Wildlife: We get a lot of questions about bears and also know there's a rising concern about ticks in the northeast. Black bears do traverse the area. We see one scooting away every couple of months on average. They won't bother you. All campers must keep food, trash, cookware, locked away and out of sight. There are ticks in the woods. We find very few on us, even after lots of time in the brush. Check yourself, use repellent, and you'll be fine.

My girlfriend and I had an excellent stay at the HH— was exactly what we were looking for and as advertised. We extended our stay an extra day— we thought we might want to have our last day off for some extra adventure elsewhere but, once we settled in, we loved having HH as a nest. We would have stayed longer. Loved the sky gazing day and night and stereo indoor and out set up. Very well stocked with a great local coffee and herbal tea made by Kendra, plus cool swag and plenty of pots and pans etc to cook with. I set up my Coleman two burner stove to compliment the grill. Def recommend the sauna. It’s a little bit of a walk to the hot tub and sauna so recommend some slip on shoes/sandals and a bathrobe for ease. Thanks to Shaggy and Kendra!

Weekend Trip to The Dam House At Beaver Pond
This is a really lovely secluded site. The house is just a few minutes walk away but barely visible through the trees. The paths through the woods were perfect for walks with our medium/small dogs, who were thrilled to be off leash. The basics are provided, and the bed and cots were super comfortable. Just bring food and disposables - paper towels, dish detergent, matches. We came on a rainy weekend, but the yurt stayed dry and the trees caught most of the water on our walks. I hadn't been to Honesdale, and the town itself was a pleasant surprise - good local restaurants and stores.

This cabin had the perfect level of amenities for a quiet weekend away, set on a beautiful piece of land. You can hear the waterfall as you sit by the fire and the area behind the cabin was perfect for setting up a hammock. The furnace kept the cabin comfortable, the outdoor shower was convenient. Toilets were clean. I'll definitely be booking again next year.

What a dream spot! Capping off our first camping trip together here was the absolute highlight of our trip. They are wonderful hosts (and being greeted by their cat in the driveway was the sweet cherry on top!). Despite the rain, the cozy lights and peaceful pond made the whole experience so special.

Camp Dietrich is truly a special place. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and feels wonderfully secluded.
Scott was an exceptional host. Communication was easy from the start, and his guidance when we arrived made everything simple and stress-free. He took the time to explain the property, trails, and everything we needed to know, which really helped us make the most of our stay.
And the waterfall and swimming hole are the highlight. Being able to swim and cool off in the natural swimming hole surrounded by the forest was an unforgettable experience.
If you're looking for a place to disconnect, explore, relax by the creek, and enjoy an amazing piece of nature, Camp Dietrich is absolutely worth the trip. We had a fantastic stay and would happily come back again!

this campsite is absolutely beautiful. Scott does a great job checking you in, carting your belongings onto your site for you, and showing you fun trails to explore. they provide everything you would need and are extremely nice. when we left, one person in our group forgot a necklace which had immense sentimental value to them and Scott and Christina went above and beyond and found it for them. 10/10 experience, amazing hosts and a beautiful site. You will be extremely happy with your stay here.

This place is so magical. Scott and Christina are so kind and made such a beautiful private wonderland. You are seriously right on the water and are so separate from the other campers that you can only hear them (faintly) if they are yelling or a dog is barking. I absolutely loved it there and it may have converted my best friend into a camper (finally). Highly highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Mountainside Waterfall Retreat
My boyfriend and I had a great weekend removed from society, in such a beautiful location. Having zero reception was a welcomed change. So serene, peaceful, and relaxing. My only criticism is that (as someone with a form of severe neuropathy in my right leg) I was not expecting such a challenging terrain to the camp site. The incline in some parts was difficult for me but wouldn't have been without my condition. Perhaps the hosts could consider expanding upon that description to better prepare people. Otherwise, it was fantastic, and I would recommend to friends and family who truly want to get away from everything for a few days. :)

Weekend Trip to Hippie Havens: A Groovy Retreat & Spa
Shaggy and Kendra have truly curated something special and wonderful. The cabin is pristine and cozy, and the bathroom and shower amenities make the experience glamorous. Our favorite part is sitting by the solo stove and listening to the records Shaggy provides! This is our second stay at Hippie Haven and we can’t wait to come back again. We utilized the sauna and the hot tub, as well as the fire wood bonus package. Everything is so user friendly and makes for a worry-free and relaxing stay. The land is quiet and utterly peaceful, and the only critters we encountered were frogs at the pond and a few grazing deer in the morning. Nothing but good things to say! 5/5 stars! P.S. We had an awesome stay. The camper is so cute and cozy. It was the perfect spot to launch for a weekend chasing waterfalls. The owner gave great suggestions for local spots!

We loved our stay at the daydreamin camp site. The views were great! The site felt secluded but you are minutes away from town with shopping and restaurants. We would definitely come back again.

Such a lovely, carefully curated camping experience.. Scott and Christina have thought of everything you could possibly need in the middle of the woods. We were comfy, we made great food, and the kids loved the swimming area. Thank you and we look forward to visiting again!

A Great spot a stones throw from Worlds end. Brand new showers and bathrooms that are modern and clean. Most importantly the owner genuinely cares about this place and you can tell by the thought and details put into If you get a clear night sky, great milky way views. The cabins have a lot of area to themselves especially to hang out. Highly recommended!
