- Our tent sites are rustic with NO electric or running water. We allow responsible use of the stream for cleaning. Please bring along potable water. Cabins have electric, but no indoor plumbing. Porta-Johns are available throughout the grounds. Cabins have a rustic outdoor shower available MID May- MID October. Please inquire for camper vans and pop ups.
- FIREWOOD: We have firewood for sale for $7 per crate. You can pick and crate your wood at the wood pile on the grounds at your convenience. Please bring cash if possible or get in touch at the end of your stay to pay via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle.
-We have a variety of wildlife in the area, including BLACK BEARS. Please follow 'Leave No Trace' protocols and be mindful of trash and food throughout your stay. Keep your coolers in your vehicles and take garbage to the dumpster frequently. We have a dumpster available to you on the grounds.
-Check in is contactless. Upon booking, you will receive directions to your site.
**If you would like to stay for one night during the week or one night on a weekend during November-April, please get in touch and I can adjust the booking specifications. Otherwise, weekends are typically a two night minimum mid May through October. Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend are a three night minimum.**

The kitchen features a rustic vintage stove along with easy-cook counter equipment like a microwave and toaster oven. We provide linens, cookware, and eating utensils for your convenience. Outside, there is a grill for enjoying meals outdoors. We have two kayaks for your enjoyment and there is a beach access location down the street.
We have one private bedroom and one private studio optional bedroom, each with a brand-new full-size memory foam bed and a pillow top mattress for a restful night’s sleep. The living room includes a sleeper sofa to accommodate additional guests comfortably, sleeping up to 6 people total and 8 if you inflate the air mattress.
Water supply:
We rely on a private well and holding tank for water, we are on a city sewer line but not city water. The system is fully functional but limited in capacity. We kindly ask guests to conserve water during your stay — take short (hot) showers and avoid excessive water use. Bottle spring water is available at the property for your enjoyment. There is no laundry onsite. Conserve, conserve! Toilet is on a city sewer line and is gravity flushed.
You’re just a block from the lake with kayak and swim access. Plus, the cabin is conveniently close to Misericordia University, Wilkes University, King’s College, wedding venues, Mohegan Sun Casino, and beautiful hiking spots like Ricketts Glen Falls.

Everything that we sell is grown or produced on-site with the intention of nurturing the soil and ecology of the land. From 1939-2020 our family ran a summer sleep-away camp for children on the farm, with an emphasis on caring for each other and the land. Located in a small valley at 1400 feet of elevation, our fields and woods are home to a broad diversity of native plants and animals. Our family has been caring for this land since 1926, but before European colonization it was home to the Lenape people from whom it was forcibly taken. Acknowledging this fact and working to expand awareness of Indigenous cultures and their rights is important to us.
While at the farm, besides the amenities listed in each listing, you are welcome to hike or walk around and explore our farm which has many acres of woodland, creeks, springs, a pond, and open fields. A hot day is a great time for a walk along - or in - the creek. A rainy day brings out the Red Efts - beautiful orange newts that are all over the woods when you know where to look. We're always glad to point you in the right direction for a nice walk or a longer hike. You may be able to tag along collecting eggs from the hens or feeding some of the other animals we may have.

The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. The Season House, one of the two foreman homes, features additional guest accommodations while Doug resides in the other foreman house. Visit and experience a piece of PA history! BLT cabin is a great getaway! My daughter and I were able to get away and enjoyed the seclusion with our dog. Even though it rained most of the day Saturday, Stephanie had plenty of dry firewood that we could still cook and have a fire between storms. My daughter is young and weirded out by outhouses, but even she said Stephanie's was very clean and didn't feel like an outhouse at all! The cabin was very well stocked (we packed well anyway), but very impressive how well Stephanie makes sure guests have everything they may need. I highly recommend for families looking to get away. Plenty of seating, tables, beds. Very comfortable!

Dreamy and dynamic property/ campground with trails, beautiful creek, and privacy- even a clean outhouse and hot shower if needed! Our hosts were super welcoming and very accommodating. We had some pretty intense weather and they made sure to alert us and make certain we were safe. Would love to camp here again. My friends and i had an amazing weekend at the property and surrounding town. Very much recommend to true nature lovers that look for a more serene and private campground. ! Weekend Trip to Secluded BLT Cabin
Stephanie was nice & responsive. Self check-in instructions provided ease of access. The cabin offers a totally secluded & private paradise for nothing but nature. The cabin was well stocked with essentials like dish & hand soap, basic kitchenware, sheets/extra blankets, water, TP, towels, linens, and a fan. Additionally, fishing rods, a small flashlight, and firewood were provided. I brought too much stuff lol.
Nice perks were the steps to the outhouse were well lit. A sizable can of gas was provided for the generator when needed. I enjoyed the fire pit, hiking trails, pond fishing.
Another thing is the outdoor shower aside from the outhouse. The listing mentioned not having a shower but this was a great surprise for me. Likely during the warmer months.
A tip for future guests: The drive from the main road is long, muddy (after some rain), and can be questionable for some sedans. There are multiple dips, ruts, and hills that require off-road experience, so take it slow, or better yet, bring a high-clearance or 4WD vehicle.
Also, there is no AC and the cabin holds heat well, Summer might be too hot for some; however, the windows can be opened and the host provides a collapsible screen for bug-free airflow, which helped. I would like to try the cabin out during Fall or early Winter.
I was surprised to get cell service here and there, but don't count on it. Overall, I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for true solitude in nature.

We spent the weekend at The Retreat at Bear Creek site and had a fantastic time! The area was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. I loved sitting in the hammock reading my book and listening to the sound of the creek. My kids had the time of their lives clambering through the creek and we all loved floating under the waterfalls, even though the water was freezing! A few minutes of cold was worth it for such a fun experience! The trails around the site were well marked and accessible, and I particularly liked the laminated map made available. Scott was very helpful, friendly, and informative. The site felt really private, which was a nice change from other campsites we’ve gone too. We will certainly be back and I would absolutely recommend this site to others!

Simply incredible! We loved Camp Dietrich. Quiet, beautiful, NO TICKS or MOSQUITOS. Beautiful area to explore and play in. Swimming by the waterfalls was breathtaking. The hosts were so gracious too!

What a wonderful weekend on the farm!
We experienced the joys of camping in nature, but with some luxuries you won’t find in tent camping. The cabin was spacious and comfortable. We loved that you could walk right out of the cabin to a very large, fully covered deck with a picnic table and a long thin table/bench to prepare food, etc. Right behind the cabin and deck is a peaceful creek that helped us cool down after unpacking all of our belongings. Our daughter loved being able to go searching for the goats and was thrilled with her daily visits from the friendly barn cat, Mousakka. Our host was warm, welcoming and informative, giving us a thorough tour of the farm and answering any questions we had. There were clean bathrooms and hot showers in the building next to us. Cooking and cleaning was easy with the fire pit and outdoor sink. We really couldn’t have asked for a better camping experience and we hope to be back next year!

This was our fourth visit as a family of four—our two boys, now 11 and 7, plus our one-year-old Aussie Shepherd mix—and we already can't wait to come back next year! There truly is nothing else like it.
The private, fully equipped campsites, the miles of hiking trails, the meandering creek with swimming holes, and the beautiful private waterfalls make it the perfect escape into nature. Our boys absolutely love exploring here, and now our dog does too!
Scott and Christina couldn't be kinder or more accommodating. They go above and beyond to make every stay special. We can't say enough good things about this incredible, one-of-a-kind place. We highly recommend it and are already looking forward to our next visit!

1 night at Hippie Havens: A Groovy Retreat
From the very beginning to end of our stay at Shaggy and Kendra’s we were so well taken care of. The accommodations were clean, labeled, and perfectly prepared. Right when we walked in, we could tell they put a lot of care into making sure we had everything we could want and need for our stay. The hot tub and tv set up right next to the sauna is so well thought out with tables and water proof bags. We did the pizza extra and it was so delicious! There were plenty of kitchen utensils, and they wrote out instructions so we could make our pizza’s perfectly! There were also plenty of games, books and records for us to be away from our devices but not bored. We look forward to making this a regular getaway for us when we need to reconnect and unwind from the hustle and bustle. We can’t thank y'all enough!

Another awesome 4th of July weekend at BLT cabin! Definitely enjoyed the peace and quiet and relaxing on the spacious porch while our dogs played in and around the pond. The morning hikes also helped the relaxation. If you want to get away and relax to the nature sounds, BLT cabin has got you covered!! Don't forget your s'more supplies 😄
