This cabin has been in my family for over 40 years, and we love to share it's charm with the world! Sleep like a log in our one-room charming cabin on a small private lake lot with non-motor boats only. Little Elk Lake is 43 acres. Queen bed with linens provided, plus 2 adult cots with pads and sleeping bags. Rowboat plus 1 youth kayak, two adult kayaks and a canoe are available for your use, and we have life jackets in many sizes. We are sorry but the pontoon boat cannot be used by guests. The fishing is EXCELLENT and bring your binoculars - BALD EAGLES frequent the lake! We want you to have so much FUN during your visit, but we are not a party spot. The lake is rural and quiet, and so we must request low noise levels after 10 pm in order to keep our neighborhood HAPPY! :) We welcome everyone, including the LGBQT community and folks from all ethnicities. You'll feel like you are coming home to a safe haven and all guests will be treated with kindness and respect here at Sunset Shore! Don't waste one moment of lake time! GROCERY, PHARMACY and EVEN HOMEGOODS delivery is available. Our local large grocery chain Price Chopper, Rite Aid and Family Dollar all deliver to the cabin. The name of the app is INSTACART. NEW - a Smart TV to keep those little ones entertained on rainy days. A WIFI Hotspot is available in the add-on section of your reservation. We also have a DVD player with a few family-friendly movies. Games, coloring books and drawing paper, etc. are in the cabin. ALSO NEW - We have cold and HOT water at the kitchen sink and a large private outdoor shower/changing room. We ask guests to conserve water since we are hauling water and pumping it into a 275-gallon outdoor tank. The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. Such a beautiful getaway! The owners were so friendly and welcoming. They supplied so much already on the site - water, cooking utensils, pans , wood, extra towels, battery powered fan, really they had everything you needed. They even checked on us to see if we needed more water. They’re very friendly and the property is gorgeous! We had a wonderful stay and went to the state park to hike which wasn’t far from the site. Totally will be coming back! Highly highly recommend!! 1000/10.

We had an awesome time at Camp Dietrich! Scott was an amazing host and we can’t wait to come back! The campsites are very secluded, beautiful, and well stocked with camping essentials. Anything you could need is available to borrow from the checkpoint shed, just show up with a cooler of food, some downloaded tunes(no service at our campsite) and relax. It was my girlfriend’s first time camping and she loved camp Dietrich. We spent 3 days exploring the trails and laying in the creek, but would definitely come back just for the waterfall. I like to try new campsites but will certainly be staying here again on our next trip! We left with a cool wooden bear sculpture Scott’s son carved. Pictures don’t do this site justice you should see it for yourself! Thanks Scott and Christina!

What a cute setup. Stayed in one of the tiny cabins, equipped with a mini fridge, tea kettle, fan, and mugs. The bed was very comfortable and I slept great! My finance and I walked along the trail that goes over the mountain along the stream. Nice scenery and dipped our feet in. The campground has 2 clean bathrooms and a shower, the water was cold but fine for a summer day and they even had soap and towels like a hotel :) we had a great time. Very refreshing.

We had a lovely trip to Journey’s End! We typically tent camp but found this cabin to be a perfect fit for our annual camping trip! It was close to hiking and white water rafting (within an hour), and had the perfect vibe for our evenings at the site. The land was gorgeous. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Will definitely stay again if we are in the area- thank you for the lovely getaway!

The open areas are well maintained. The tent area is nice and flat, no roots or stones, and plenty of space for each site. The facilities are new, clean, and attractively designed. Best shower I've had at a campground. We were in a tent, but the cabins and large event space looked really nice. The woman who checked us in was very helpful. The wood they include is enough for about 2 hrs. of fire, you can purchase more for pretty reasonable.

We had a group not understand this so I want to make sure it is clear. Firewood is for sale here for CASH! Please bring CASH with you. Sixty acres of magical trees, a one acre pond, and a three acre field. From the road there is a two hundred foot elevation gain to the top of the hill. Along the way are several hundred feet of rock ledges, caves, and critters. Most of the land is sloping, but the hilltop is flat as a table, with prehistoric-looking ferns under a dense canopy of mature trees. The campsites are ultra secluded- about a quarter mile apart from each other. All sites include a fire pit, cooking grate, picnic table, and sites 2&3 have platforms. Camp ONE: is on the top of the hill, and a small car can be driven to within 150 feet of it. It is pretty flat, and surrounded by blackberry bushes, ferns, and trees. Camp TWO: is on a bluff overlooking a picturesque swamp, filled with hemlock trees and ferns. This site can not be driven to with anything less than a high clearance SUV (ie- jeep wrangler), so I consider it a hike in site. It is under a ten minute walk from the pond and parking lot, but the view and feel is worth it. (It has been brought to our attention that there is occasionally a group riding atvs on a neighboring property that are audible from this site. We have no control over what time it happens, so please keep this in mind) Camp THREE: is accessible with a four wheel drive vehicle, something at least as high as an SUV. It is the closest to the house and pond, but still far enough to feel secluded and completely private. If you choose to walk there, it’s only a couple minutes from the parking area. Throughout the property, there are many quiet places to hang out, flat spots to do yoga, trails to explore, and fishing and swimming in the beautiful pond. Everything that we sell is grown or produced on-site with the intention of nurturing the soil and ecology of the land. From 1939-2020 our family ran a summer sleep-away camp for children on the farm, with an emphasis on caring for each other and the land. Located in a small valley at 1400 feet of elevation, our fields and woods are home to a broad diversity of native plants and animals. Our family has been caring for this land since 1926, but before European colonization it was home to the Lenape people from whom it was forcibly taken. Acknowledging this fact and working to expand awareness of Indigenous cultures and their rights is important to us. While at the farm, besides the amenities listed in each listing, you are welcome to hike or walk around and explore our farm which has many acres of woodland, creeks, springs, a pond, and open fields. A hot day is a great time for a walk along - or in - the creek. A rainy day brings out the Red Efts - beautiful orange newts that are all over the woods when you know where to look. We're always glad to point you in the right direction for a nice walk or a longer hike. You may be able to tag along collecting eggs from the hens or feeding some of the other animals we may have.
