The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. Camp David was originally a German hunting camp at the turn of the 20th century. It was later donated to the Boy Scouts in the 1940’s. By the 2000’s, it was left abandoned at which time I purchased it and began to restore it back to its true form while maintaining the cabin life integrity. I am a contractor and arborist by trade and the last ten years I have worked hard to bring the site back to life.
The camp consists of 13 acres abutted by 100's of acres of state park land.
There are two stocked ponds connected by a cascading stream, multiple fire pits with seating, furnished gazebo with wood stove, picnic tables, and multiple park benches located throughout the property.

*There are also optional community facilities you can access for a small daily fee (currently at $5 per person a day) There is a beach, a newly renovated outdoor pool, and a basketball court. If you are interested to use the facility, you can purchase a wristband during your stay or inquire with your host prior so you can get more details about it.
Guest access
Guests will be able to use the whole home and lake access in the backyard.
There is ample parking in front paved driveway. You will be receiving a door code the day before your travel, it is a unique code that will only activate at time of check in.
* Host will require a liability waiver after booking. Our HOA requires a tenant registration form filled out and submitted a week prior to arrival ( for last minute bookings, you will need to submit this form back as soon as I send it with your confirmation).
*For lake fishing: You need a fishing license to fish in any lake in PA. Security and Game commission does show up to check so make sure you are in compliance. Host will not be responsible for you ticket violation if caught. Our dock will only allow up to 1000 lbs of weight at once, about 4-6 persons and less if carrying a boat to launch. Guests will wear life vests on the dock, boats and swimming on the lake. Guests will not leave any personal belongings on the dock or leave out chairs to avoid any loss of property. Guests will not release the floating dock off the secured attachment on the shore anchor.
NO ACCESS to lake Spillway: At any time, do not attempt to swim or hang out on or near the lake spillway ( located to the right of propery) This is very dangerous and is a violation of our HOA rules. You will incur a fine from security dept if caught. I really appreciate your cooperation for your safety.

We have a Well water system, bring your own preferred water bottle for drinking. We have a water filtration system for the house and a Brita if you would like to use it.
We also have a queen sofa pull out bed in the living room and a futon in the largest room for when you need it.
Our home is fully equipped w/ stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, stove/oven, blender, dishware/flatware, drip coffee maker, Keurig, toaster, spices, bar seating.

The cabin has three cozy bedrooms, each with comfortable bedding to ensure a good night's sleep. There are two full bathrooms, one is located next to the master's bedroom adjacent to an extra sleeping area in the loft.

Guests will be able to use the whole home and lake access in the backyard.
There is ample parking in the driveway. You will be receiving a door code the day before your travel. It is a unique code that will only activate at the time of check-in.
*For lake fishing: You need a fishing license to fish in any lake in PA. Security and Game Commission does show up so make sure you are in compliance.
To ACCESS our lakefront cabin, a tenant registration form and waiver are needed prior to your arrival. By booking our home, you agree to comply with this requirement. The host will have the right to cancel your booking within 24 from the travel date if this requirement is not fulfilled with NO refunds.

IMPORTANT INFO * Host will require a liability waiver after booking. Our HOA requires a tenant registration form filled out and submitted a week prior to arrival ( for last-minute bookings, you will need to submit this form and return it back to me as soon as I send it with your confirmation).
*We don’t offer refunds for weather, park closures, changes in travel itinerary, or mismanaged expectations. There shall be no refunds of rent for shortened stays due to family emergencies or change of # of guests attending. Power outages and the internet provider being down are beyond our control and no refund policy will apply. Read our description on our listing, and inquire from your hosts regarding the property if you have certain expectations that we may/ or may not meet. Please make sure to check our cancellation policy prior to booking, and avail of your own travel insurance or through Airbnb insurance most especially if you opted for a nonrefundable booking promotion.
We have public city water, with a water filtration system on our fridge. You may bring your own preferred water bottle for drinking if you like.
We also have a queen sofa pull-out bed in the game room and a futon in the loft area for extra sleeping. All linens for bedrooms and extra sleeping are provided.
Our home is fully equipped with/ stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, stove/oven, blender, dishware/silverware, a Keurig and drip coffee maker, a toaster oven, and a blender.
Firewood is NOT included. Bring your own firewood for the fire pit.

The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! Camp David was originally a German hunting camp at the turn of the 20th century. It was later donated to the Boy Scouts in the 1940’s. By the 2000’s, it was left abandoned at which time I purchased it and began to restore it back to its true form while maintaining the cabin life integrity. *There are also optional community facilities you can access for a small daily fee (currently at $5 per person a day) There is a beach, a newly renovated outdoor pool, and a basketball court. If you are interested to use the facility, you can purchase a wristband during your stay or inquire with your host prior so you can get more details about it.

Guests will be able to use the whole home and lake access in the backyard.
There is ample parking in front paved driveway. You will be receiving a door code the day before your travel, it is a unique code that will only activate at time of check in.
* Host will require a liability waiver after booking. Our HOA requires a tenant registration form filled out and submitted a week prior to arrival ( for last minute bookings, you will need to submit this form back as soon as I send it with your confirmation).
*For lake fishing: You need a fishing license to fish in any lake in PA. Security and Game commission does show up to check so make sure you are in compliance. Host will not be responsible for you ticket violation if caught. Our dock will only allow up to 1000 lbs of weight at once, about 4-6 persons and less if carrying a boat to launch. Guests will wear life vests on the dock, boats and swimming on the lake. Guests will not leave any personal belongings on the dock or leave out chairs to avoid any loss of property. Guests will not release the floating dock off the secured attachment on the shore anchor.
NO ACCESS to lake Spillway: At any time, do not attempt to swim or hang out on or near the lake spillway ( located to the right of propery) This is very dangerous and is a violation of our HOA rules. You will incur a fine from security dept if caught. I really appreciate your cooperation for your safety.

We have a Well water system, bring your own preferred water bottle for drinking. We have a water filtration system for the house and a Brita if you would like to use it.
We also have a queen sofa pull out bed in the living room and a futon in the largest room for when you need it.
Our home is fully equipped w/ stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, stove/oven, blender, dishware/flatware, drip coffee maker, Keurig, toaster, spices, bar seating.

The house features a semi-professional kitchen, two bedrooms, and a full bathroom. In addition, there is a pub room with a wood fireplace, gaming table, and marble-topped bar. This rustic space offers heating and cooling, electricity, hot water, and a fridge/freezer.
Outside, there are multiple sitting areas, including a fire pit with Adirondack chairs and a table with chairs. When the airstream on the property is also booked, the backyard and garden are shared.

The property is a working farm with animals. We work as quietly as possible in the morning, but there may be some noise. Guests are welcome to join us in the morning to experience farm life!

Our all-weather 20-foot tents are built tough to withstand the elements—including rain—and cozy enough to keep you comfortable year-round. These four-season canvas tents are designed to handle sun, wind, and rain, so no matter the forecast, you’ll be high, dry, and cozy. Don’t worry—they don’t have wheels (no rolling away in the wind 😅); they’re securely anchored for safety.

Diameter: 19’6” (about 289 sq. ft.—as roomy as a studio apartment)
Center Height: 11’ tall (yes, you can stand up and lasso imaginary cattle inside)
Wall Height: 3’ (adds extra vertical space, not your average tent slope)

Inside, you’ll find a queen-size bed (perfect for two guests) with simple rustic furnishings. At the host’s discretion, a third guest or child may be added with an air mattress for an additional charge—just be sure to contact us ahead of time.
👉 A quick reality check: This is still camping. You won’t find a minibar, room service, or turndown service. What you will find is the perfect mix of comfort and the great outdoors—sleeping in a real bed while listening to the crickets sing outside your tent flap.

What an amazing and awesome place to stay. I was going to stay at a campsite but was suggested to stay in the tree house. I am so glad I chose the tree house. It was nice and warm on a cool night. Would absolutely stay there again.

Our time in the treehouse was magical. It was my 13 year old son and I. He is 6’1” and he was able to comfortably sleep in the loft. Bill and everyone at Fairview Farms was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The stargazing was phenomenal; I highly recommend a dip in the hot tub under the stars. I would recommend bringing a heated blanket in the colder months. I brought ours and it was the perfect mix of cold and snuggly warm. There is a heater that works like a charm, with the blanket we only used it during the day.

1 night at Dude, Girl! Ranch.
We had a perfect fall Sunday followed by a rainy Monday that somehow made the cabin even better. Warm, quiet, and easy to settle into. Jennifer was kind and responsive, and everything felt thoughtful without trying too hard.
We found and brought an old CD player, a crate of our old scratched mix CDs, and ended up listening by the fire, laughing at what used to be our favorite songs and what stuck. Turns out, that’s about as good as it gets. Highly recommend bringing a few of your own instant time machine.

Weekend Trip to Riverhouse Farm
Our stay at Riverhouse Farm couldn’t have fallen on a more perfect weekend. We enjoyed how conveniently placed and framed everything was. From the view of the river from the tent, sitting around the fire as the moon rises between the trees, or where the sun and moon sit perfectly when they’re at the peak and the trees that frame it. We slept comfortably in the canvas tent and using the wood burning stove was easy. Conveniently, there’s a grill which made cooking a lot easier. The fresh eggs cooked over the fire were superb! We arrived later than we had hoped and in the dark so we missed the tent off to the right when we got there but were able to find it. I would love to visit again this time next year! Such a memorable trip.

Bill and Erin were so helpful and friendly; you can tell they love creating a great experience for their guests. Give Yeti another hug for me when you see that giant white dog guarding the goat; he is the true g.o.a.t. Lol.
The tree house is amazing. It's exactly the type of club house my husband and I wanted as kids. The loft and ladder are super sturdy; I'm over 300 pounds with a bum knee and still shimmied up into the loft to sleep on the comfy queen mattress. We stayed in last September when it was like in the 70s during the day but 50s at night, and we never felt cold in the loft. Pro-tip: the light and ceiling fan in the first floor has a remote, so don't use the light switch.
Outside, under the house, is a little outdoor kitchen area with a propane griddle. That thing was so convenient. We had fresh eggs from the chickens on the property and pancakes in the morning with minimal fuss. It was such a relief after a day exploring the outdoors to just ignite that griddle for hamburgers and hot dogs instead of using my camp stove or the grate over the campfire. The fire pit did have a grate if you prefer to grill over an open flame, so options!
My favorite part was nighttime. Everyone was super respectful of noise policy, so with the exterior lights off, it was us, the insects, the night birds, at least one coyote, and the stars. Pure magic.

This place is phenomenal. You can see that the owners really care, everything is so nicely made in clean like I really upgraded Hotel.
The hot tub took me about six hours to get my desired temperature. Part of it was because I didn’t know. I have to close the door while it was burning.
But after all, it was well worth the work!
I have noticed over the years there are two types of places, one, is where the owner wants to make money and have no choice, but to serve so he can collect from his guest money. Two, an owner that wants to serve his guest, but has no choice and have to charge money in order to stay open and be able to serve more people
The owners from this place are from the second category, they want to give and serve their guest. You can feel it in every aspect.
