The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby.

Our horse farm is located in one of the most rural areas of Southern New Jersey. This land was once occupied by The Lanape Tribe. The adjacent creek was named after Chief Alloway. Artifacts of Native Americans have been found alongside this brackish water creek. This farm was for many years a dairy farm which was passed on for 3 generations until the late 80's.
Our main horse breeds are 5 Arabians followed by 2 Thoroughbreds and 2 miniature ponies. In addition to horses you will see free range rabbits, chickens and beautiful cows.
There are many antique shops in this area which tell the rich History of Southern NJ. Cowen mall and Royal Port are my two favorites.
Another must see experience (at least once) in the area is The Cowtown Rodeo, one of the first and oldest in the country, only 14 minutes drive.
Cool and brand new Brewery opening up soon right across the rd from Cowtown and right next to The best Cowboy outfitter.

The canvas tent sleeps 4 but feel free to pitch another tent (or rent one of ours) for additional sleeping space. The campsite has parking for up to three vehicle but is not able to accommodate RV's or travel trailers.

Enjoy 8 beautiful, secluded acres on the Conewago Creek at Bald Hill, Northern York Co. My homestead was once part of the Conewago Turf Farm. It borders the creek a length of 1100 feet, mostly maintained with easy access. Camp is at the base of a steep section of the Conewago Mountains, creating privacy and protection from wind and afternoon sun. This is not a whole house rental. I have a one bedroom, queen size bed, kitchenette, private restroom and outdoor shower with on demand hot water. There's plenty of room for tent or van camping. Please see pictures for detail. I live in the house above the glamping quarters.
Plenty of good fishing and paddling here. I offer shuttle service for 1 or 2 day float trips, paddle in one day, paddle out the next day. Canoes, kayaks, paddles and PFD's are included in the price of your stay.
The Conewago is very beginner paddling but remote, very clean and full of wildlife. Gifford Pinchot State Park is 7 miles away. I have two paddle boards if you want to paddle the 3 mile lake. This adventure would require a short hike out to a parking area.
Relax in a wood fired Norwegian sauna and cook in a Peruvian wood fired earth oven or cook under the stars over an open fire. Firewood is also included. Foodies will rejoice here.
I live and work here, part time blacksmith and wood worker. I'll assist you in any way or do my best to stay out of your way.

I absolutely loved the chapel in the woods! It was so magical and the surrounding areas were just gorgeous. We really enjoyed our time walking on local trails, birdwatching, and dipping our feet in the creek. The chapel itself stayed cool all night. We loved Sandy and John's place. The well curated cabin was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed exploring their landscaped oasis... kayaking on the creek, checking in with the goats, nature walks with magical finding along the way.... And the visits from Chicory Willow.

If you want an amazing memorable experience close to home literally 30 40 minutes tops! You have to come here! When I say this renewed my soul I mean it with all of me! The beautiful land and I can’t say enough about the absolutely beautiful people Gini and her husband Kelly are. When they say they have everything just bring yourself and food they mean it! I had such a wonderful time I extended my stay and skipped the third spot I was going to go too. Every part of being here was everything! I didn’t want to go home! Lol this place is a must!!!!

The small cabin I stayed at was very nice and simple. I loved bird song in the mornings and transparent side of the roof. The site is secluded and easy to find at the same time. There was a plenty of fire wood outside and blankets inside so nights in thirties were quite manageable and even enjoyable. And don’t miss the opportunity to get breakfast if it gets offered to you, it was outstanding experience for small additional fee.

My husband and I always do rustic tent camping, but I’m 22 weeks pregnant so was looking for something in between. I felt like this place was what we were looking for!
PROS: Private site, weather proof cabin, bed, firewood comes with the site, and the $10 breakfast that is available is AMAZING.
CONS: Can slightly hear noise from the highway/road (some moments louder than others.) We are use to being deep in the woods when camping, so I think that’s why it was a con for us.

We loved staying on Edwin's farm. He was welcoming. The safari was really fun, unique, and peaceful. We came with 2 adults and 2 kids under 6 so we could all fit in the safari bed, but it'd be tight quarters if anyone was much bigger! We loved watching the sheep on the farm...we had a chance to see some young spring baby sheep which were so cute. The outhouse was clean. The fire pit was perfect for marshmallows. The site is close to Waffle House so we got breakfast before driving home. Great getaway, thank you!!!!

Bill and Erin are excellent hosts who really make you feel welcome. The location is facing the goats and cows, who are curious and friendly. You get a great view of their antics from the fireplace area outside. The other side of the RV faces empty fields and full of wildflowers and little groves of trees. It was so peaceful.
The RV was perfect for my three person family, but there was definitely enough sleeping space for more wirh rhe queen sized bed, bunk beds, and surprisingly comfortable couch. While located close to the hanger and the bathroom shared by all campers, the RV has its own bathroom with a little shower. There's a full kitchen, a grill under the storage compartment, and a full gas grill separate from the structure.
I would definitely stay again.

The chapel is such a beautiful historic building that was such an extraordinary warm experience. The land is beautiful, the chapel is in fantastic shape, the horses are a majestic touch!! Make sure to bring enough lanterns/candles etc. I'm definitely not used to such dim lighting at night and found myself wishing for another lantern. I also took the farm tour and Susannah was absolutely lovely.

With kids
My husband, 3-year-old and I had a blast spending the weekend here! So much to do, see, and space to be. We spent a lot of time by the fire pit (lots of firewood) and with the animals. My kiddo couldn’t get enough of it. Bonus was the owner’s friendly dog who kept visiting our camp site. Special appreciation for the owner’s flexibility and consistent communication. Overall, had a great time and will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to FernRock Retreat
The cabin was wonderful, had everything we needed a very comfortable and peaceful getaway. The space surrounding the cabin was so lovely. We especially loved the chairs by the water and the kayaks. Thank you for your hospitality! We will definitely visit again!

Group trip
We had an absolutely wonderful time at Conowingo Creek! They aren't kidding when they say the campsite has everything; it was very well appointed and comfortable. The lanterns lighting the path made it extra magical and lounging by the creek was so peaceful. I went with friends but I can't wait to go back with my family; it's perfect for kids and grownups alike!

I liked it. There were miniature ponies outside my window at night, it was cool to occasionally hear pony sounds when I was in bed. Animals were friendly. She was working on adding extra ammenaties, which I though made it look like she cared. Environment was nice. Asked for extra accomodations and she helped me out. Easy to get in.

6 nights at FernRock Retreat
I booked this for myself for a much needed recharge. I was ready to leave when my 15 y/o old told me she wanted to stay 1 night. They kindly accommodated the last minute change and made up the 2nd bed before we arrived. We pulled up and John and Sandy promptly came to welcome us to their place. They showed us around the cabin and let us know how to use everything. They made me feel so welcome and they seemed so happy to let us into their world there. It was the nicest check-in experience i've had anywhere. I loved the Haiku photo album and the journal for guests to write in. The very first entry was 4/29/13 (my daughter's 2nd bday) and the last one was 3/29/26 (my son's 12th bday)! I wish i had written in it bc i have a lot to say. Next time! When we met the goats was when my daughter decided she couldn't leave and ended up staying till Tues- i drove her to school till then. Holly and Hazel are cuties. Hazel liked the spotlight and when you scratched her in the right spot, her tail would wag away! The labyrinth is gorgeous- a beautiful work of art on it's own with a purpose I never knew! I enjoyed learning about them from the provided reading material. I did chat with Sandy and I decided that she is the coolest person in the world. She has great love for and intuitive wisdom of the earth, and she radiates love and acceptance. Hopefully I didn't scare her when I told her I want to become best friends.😆
