All lodging sites have heating for your comfort and are available year round! The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night.
Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October.
In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be.
The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience.
Contact us to coordinate for larger group bookings. Please note that a significant portion of county tax/fees and cancellation or change fees may be avoided by booking the base amount of people (4) and at a much later date adding extra guests. Guests NOT occupying canvas tent (lodging) and bringing their own tents should not be paying an occupancy tax but there is no provision for this in the app. We do not want our guests paying taxes -- that benefit no one but useless bureaucracy! Extra guests may be added the week before booking. Just let us know your plans through the app!

The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds.

We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Grocery stores and gas are also nearby. Miles of hiking, rail trail, single-track mountain biking, and kayaking are all right here! See our kayak and bike rentals under extras!
Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby.

Red Maple Campsite: A large luxury private site that includes potable water and electricity on site, designed for a maximum 10 guests with on-site parking space that is 90ft long and 20ft wide, for an RV or 6-8 cars and overflow parking for several more cars. It is designed to be backed into with an RV and then pulled out of. The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. This wooded area is 5 miles away from the Ohiopyle State Park whitewater launch area and GAP bike trail. We are less than 9 miles from Frank Lloyd Wright's Classic Fallingwater and about 8 miles from Kentuck Knob one of the last resident homes he designed (both are open for tours). Fort Necessity National Battlefield is 5 miles away. There are numerous native trout streams in the area. Youghiogheny Reservoir is 7 miles away for fishing, boat rentals, and water-sports.
The Fern House is the primary camp cabin on the property. Although if someone would want to park a "self contained" camper or small RV on the property we would permit the unit to occupy the area in front of the driveway just pass the entrance gate. It is not within the ferns and is next to the road. There is an electrical outlet available at this small RV or van camper site.
We are "nice pet" friendly. Dogs should not be left in the cabin alone. We have a mountain spring (when the spring is running) up the trail road (450 feet away). The ferns will normally be in full glory by the end of May to mid September and are amazing, covering the forest floor. Deer, bear, wild turkey, fox, chipmunks, squirrels and many woodland birds abound the property especially owls. A picnic table, fire ring and firewood is available on the property. Free WiFi on the property as long as the plant life is not too thick! There is a mile hiking loop right on the property and many challenging trails in the area, including the starting point for the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail. No smoking is permitted in the cabin. Read the entire narrative on the cabin (Tiny Fern House) before booking.

If you want an amazing memorable experience close to home literally 30 40 minutes tops! You have to come here! When I say this renewed my soul I mean it with all of me! The beautiful land and I can’t say enough about the absolutely beautiful people Gini and her husband Kelly are. When they say they have everything just bring yourself and food they mean it! I had such a wonderful time I extended my stay and skipped the third spot I was going to go too. Every part of being here was everything! I didn’t want to go home! Lol this place is a must!!!!

This is the perfect choice for anyone looking to fully experience the peace and quiet of nature. It was an amazing environment for a relaxing getaway with our dog, Luna.
The cabin was well-stocked with absolutely everything we needed. Even though it’s in the mountains, the shower was fantastic—plenty of hot water and great water pressure! The manager was incredibly kind and helpful, which made our stay even better. We made great memories here and would absolutely love to visit again.

Weekend Trip to Tiny Cabins in the Valley
This was a beautiful weekend time away from the day to day. The cabins are set in rolling fields of farmland. Secluded from the normal traffic, this was a great and comfortable place to read my bible, sit by the fire, and cook some new recipes. Planning on going back again sometime soon. Was a seamless and enjoyable weekend I didn't want to end!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Conowingo Creek! They aren't kidding when they say the campsite has everything; it was very well appointed and comfortable. The lanterns lighting the path made it extra magical and lounging by the creek was so peaceful. I went with friends but I can't wait to go back with my family; it's perfect for kids and grownups alike!

We needed a little vacation, and this getaway exceeded our expectations! Gini and Kelly were incredibly attentive; we requested a battery at the last minute, and they were able to drop it off quickly. Everything was clean and super comfortable. Our dogs were beyond happy! We will definitely be back

Weekend Trip to Muddy Myst
Had a wonderful time at the cabin. Absolutely loved that the dog could be off leash. He really enjoyed it. All the creeks and ponds are beautiful with salamanders and frogs. Beautiful landscaping. Enjoyed our stay.

2 nights at Tiny Cabins in the Valley
I stayed at Deerpath cabin with a friend for a few days. The nature around the cabin is beautiful. It is in view of the hosts house from a distance but it is secluded enough and has a fence. It is nicely furnished and I was pleasantly surprised to see a sign with our names on it, welcoming us to the cabin. The only downside is that the shower is outdoors and only available in warm months (there is shower available in the host’s home). Overall a great experience would recommend to lots of people.

Weekend Trip to Fairview Farms Airfield
Bill and Erin were very attentive. They messaged to check in and see if we needed anything. We slept good in the treehouse and enjoyed seeing all the animals. You could walk to Swatara state park, but we drove and did a really great hike there. Would love to come back in the summer.

1 night at Fairview Farms Airfield
Had a wonderful time staying at the treehouse for a late valentines getaway. We loved petting the goats and seeing all the animals. Treehouse was super warm during a “blizzard”. Such a magical feeling waking up to snow outside. Very easy to get to directions very clear. Cannot wait to stay here again !

I loved camping at the tree house at Muddy Myst! The hosts were incredibly attentive to any questions we had during our stay and we were warm and cozy inside the cabin despite the chilly Temps outside. Our dog had the best time out of all 3 of us though! She was able to be off leash and run through the snow to her hearts content. We definitely will be back to make more memories here in the future 😊

What an amazing and awesome place to stay. I was going to stay at a campsite but was suggested to stay in the tree house. I am so glad I chose the tree house. It was nice and warm on a cool night. Would absolutely stay there again.

Weekend Trip to Elk Creek Escape/Sawmill Woodzie
This was my second time staying at "The Woodzzy". I booked for my birthday over the weekend and it was a much needed getaway for me, my fiance and our dog. We all love the coziness of the cabin. It makes being lazy real easy. Not having phone service was amazing and a get way to disconnect. Thank to Russ for being helpful and accommodating. It also was a pleasure talking to him. I highly recommend this cabin and best believe I will be booking again!

4 nights at Elk Creek Escape/Sawmill Woodzie
The Wood-see is a lovely rustic cabin! We stayed for 4 nights over New Year’s when it was very cold and Russ kept us supplied with wood. We brought paper and a hatchet for kindling, which were both needed. Hope to make it back to stay again!
