So many wineries here and check out the waterfalls and hiking trails in the area. Oregon Caves is open May - September. Don't forget about the jetboat rides on the Rogue River May - September which are hugely entertaining and the river and scenery are unforgettable. The Dinner cruise is always a favorite. Elk Haven Ranch consists of 40 acres at the base of a mountain range that is BLM federal land. The Hidden Forest Get-Away campground is spacious and rural where so much wildlife, birds and even an occasional elk herd or family of deer can be seen. This property is a haven for them all, no hunting is allowed.
If you are looking to throw a Frisbee with your dog in a forested and meadow setting, without tons of campers right next to you, then this is your place. Room to roam, fresh air to breathe and clean water available at your site April through September. Easy access to a common electricity plug-in where you can charge your cell phones and air mattresses on the electric pole by the entry gate. A common comment we hear from our campers is how much they love using the open air "hot water on demand" shower - at night - looking up at the stars. It's pretty amazing. The porta potty is kept clean and is privately situated, yet convenient. There's tons of firewood available to purchase for only $5 and a cart with wheels you can use to cart the wood easily to your camp site.
If you are looking to play games, just ask us for the corn hole or horse shoes, or help yourself to the games already out and available.

Peace is what you will find on our property. We have three wonderful listings on this 2 acres of shady trees, cool, quiet mornings and precious wild life. The composting restroom has a toilet and motion sensor lighting. On the outside of the restroom is the sink with hot and cold running water. As you continue along the stone path to the outdoor shower, you'll find a rainfall shower head as well as all the products you need, not to mention the most incredible views of the river!
Our outdoor cookshack comes with a grill, bar sink, trash, and basic cooking and eating utensils. This space also has views of the river and large FarmStyle table and chairs for dining.
The site is equipped with motion sensor path lighting around the tent and also the along the path leading from the parking area to the cabin.
Everything is crafted for relaxation and quality time with your friends or loved one. Take a nap in a hammock, play Jenga on the deck, read a book, or take a hike. There is something here for everyone, any time of year.

The entire property (10 acers) is for your use. The driveway is gated with use of a keypad for entry.

There is over 100 acres of BLM land adjoining our property on two sides with miles of trails to explore. Breathtaking river views abound.

Happy Bears Camp would really be suitable for those passing on I-5, who want a quiet place to park for the night. We are only one mile from I-5 (mile marker 80). Heading North on exit 80, there's a sharp 25 mph off-ramp on a downhill -Take it slow!
There are lots of reservoirs, and a few rivers in the general area. The closest Reservoir is 12 miles away. Crater Lake is two hours away. The Pacific Ocean is 2 hours 15 minutes away. Closest river is less than a mile. You will cross it on the way here. There is lots of BLM land with dirt road access in the area. There is hunting in the area. The tiny town of Glendale is three miles away, (one route is safe for bicycles). There is a Grocery store, bank, laundry, three restaurants, two gas stations and a bakery. There are also two parks in town. One has a Frisbee golf course. Easy RV parking in town. On the way here, you will pass one of the restaurants and gas stations with a lot big enough to accommodate the largest RV. On the property: You may walk around. There aren't any trails and the undergrowth gets thick quickly under the trees. There is a fire break to walk, that circles the meadow. This will give you access to the trees. If you walk up the right side, our neighbor's dog will make a ruckus as you pass their house. Don't worry, just noise. At the top of the meadow, is a lovely view over this part of the valley.

We are located in Southern Oregon. We are east of Interstate 5 in Azalea, Oregon. This is a great location if you are traveling or road tripping to any destination along the West Coast of North America! Take a day trip to Crater Lake and Diamond Lake. We also recommend that you visit the Galesville reservoir about 5 minutes up the road.

We have reliable, high-speed internet, though we keep our property as low-EMF as possible by using wired ethernet connections rather than WiFi.
There is a wood stove for the winter months, a solar powered refrigerator, a propane stove and oven, along with a sink, and kitchen countertop space. Basic kitchen ware like: utensils, plates, bowls, Italian stove top coffee maker, off grid blender, cooking pots, pans, etc.
We provide plant based dish soap and hand soap. There is a composting toilet and outdoor shower with a propane water heater for warm showers.
Please bring your own bath towel.
Please confirm you can walk up a staircase.
There is a picnic table in the pasture, with several wooden log type chairs.
All of our farm goods are available for sale. Be sure to ask about orchard raised fresh eggs, neighbor's milk, seasonal fruit jam, fresh fruit and berries, vegetables, and sprouted nut butter.
We are located near the Galesville Reservoir and about 1.5 hours from Crater Lake. The site is easily accessible. You will have a view of the pasture, gardens, greenhouse, orchards and the host's private residence.

A lovely place to break up the drive to Portland. Rebecca was very responsive and even kind enough to let me switch sites. I had originally booked site 4 but the mosquitos were pretty intense in the trees. I switched over to site 5 on the meadow which was much more manageable and sunny. I would definitely come back!

We had a small accident on our way to this campsite, and had to have our vehicle towed. This eliminated our access to all of our camping equipment. The host was kind enough to make an exception to the refund policy, and we were grateful for the understanding.

This was my very first hipcamp experience and it did bot disappoint. A lovely area for camp! Marcus has a porta potty on site and a propane heated shower! The creek was sooo beautiful and relaxing. Marcus came down and said hello with helpful info like how to start the propane fire ring (no burning of firewood in Oregon) which was a wonderful addition to my experience. A beautiful serene site and I recommend this to campers who crave the outdoors - with a few thoughtful comforts. Most excellent experience!!

Marcus’s camping site was exactly what I was looking for and needed! I loved the beautiful setting next to the creek, within view of a covered bridge reminiscent of ones near where I lived in Maryland on the East Coast, and secluded from the main house and any traffic noise…a perfect setting for my solo weekend away.

The campsite was immaculatly well kept. The sites were pleasantly spaced, and each site had its own water hose. There are solar lights all around the site that provide an incredibly pleasant soft glow at night. Having access to WiFi and the hot shower made this the perfect place to come back to after a long day of hiking. Additionally, having firewood on site was very convenient. Highly recommend.

Rebecca’s spot was beautiful! We stayed in the middle meadow area and loved it. It was private but still close to the shower and bathroom area. Rebecca was super helpful and friendly and brought us information on local swimming holes because we really wanted to find some in the area. Highly recommend this spot and would absolutely come back!

Miranda is the host of all hosts. Not only was the land beautiful and right outside of town, but the host was very generous and happy to help. The tent dome was perfect for a big sleepover with all of our closest friends. There was water, space to cook, space to plug in electrical items, and lots of cute animals. Very spacious. Miranda gave us some great local recommendations which ended up being the highlight of our trip. I recommend this space for anyone wanting a comfortable outdoor farm experience, with an adaptive host, close to a lovely small town.

Miranda’s property is a little slice of heaven right outside of Grants Pass that she was willing to share with us! A few of us stayed in the tent dome for a long weekend and she was an attentive, generous, friendly, and generally awesome host. The property is very beautiful and rustic. The tent dome is sturdy, well maintained, and comfortable! She shared her knowledge of the good local spots. One of her swimming hole recommendations was the highlight of our trip. We will be back. Hal's place is great! It has everything one needs and the private and direct access to the Rogue River is perfect.
The outdoor shower is super cool, the space has been thoughtfully setup. I had a great time and the host was so kind and friendly.
There're a lot of wildlife sightings, and if you enjoy taking a dip on rivers this is the peace to go. I definitely recommend it and I'll be looking to stay here again.
