This is a 10 acre camp of wooded hills. This campsite currently has an rv pad for rent and a featured camp site with a hobbit house. Soon to be more tent sites. There is a firewood stand on site and bundles are only $5! The hobbit house is built back into a hillside and is underground, round doors, and arched ceiling stays true to hobbit architecture. This is a glamping opportunity. Inside the hobbit house there is a full bed for two, with a quality mattress and an adjustable bed frame that has a motor to lift body to sit up or you can raise legs. There is power inside and a small microwave for cooking. 30 feet away is a sink for cleaning and good drinking water. There is a bathroom area a short way down the hill with a flushing toilet and heated shower. Outdoors includes a fire pit, a few small springs and ponds and lots of trails to explore. Your shelter and mattress will be top notch, however this is still a campground and you need to be prepared as a camper. Currently we do not have a refrigerator, bring your own cooler. No silverware, or plates are provided. You can heat things in the microwave or cook over the fire. Bring whatever utensils are needed. Within a couple miles of our location is Lewis River Golf Course, as well as popular water spotd of Merwin Lake Park, and floating the Lewis River. We have a scavenger hunt set up on the trails of our property if you want the challenge of finding our targets as you walk the trails.

Watch the salmon jump during spawning season in November, or cast a rod from our private fishing spot. We are also a birdwatcher's and rockhounding paradise! Just a few minutes away from town amenities, this location allows you to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the forested river canyon, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We are family and fur baby friendly! If you are an animal lover, take the time to enjoy a visit with our cats and chickens too. *Please note, while we have no direct neighbors, we are in a narrow river canyon. There is an active farm and wedding venue across the river. You may hear distant noise of their operations or events, depending on the season. There is also a quarry across the road that operates M-F, from 8a-3p that sometimes can be heard sporadically throughout the day.

We are located a half a block away from the historic Columbia Park, with a long walking path through mature Doug firs, sports fields, pickleball courts and a play area/splash pad in the summer. There are many wonderful restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops located nearby. The neighborhood is safe and we have free parking. We are pretty quiet here:)

You may see us doing light gardening, home maintenance, or letting the pups out but we always do our best to give you the right of way. Other things to note: Margaux is a queer household. All are welcome, but kindness and respect are required. Intolerance of any kind is not permitted. Shared Spaces & Pets: You may see us doing some yardwork or taking the dogs out but we do our best to give you as much privacy as we can. We do live in an active neighborhood so a little noise is normal but minimal. We have three dogs and a cat who use the yard, so if you’re bringing a pet, make sure they’re friendly with other animals and leashed if needed. Mt. Tabor Dog Park is nearby for zoomies! Please help us keep the garden intact by making sure the is no digging or running through the plants. Guest Policy & Smoking: Only registered Airbnb guests may use the Airstream, yard, or hot tub. Although pets are welcome, we expect them to be well-behaved around our two cats, our own big sweetie of a pup, Frejya, our two crazy goats Cupcake and Muffin, and our free-ranging chickens. Expect to hear some animal noises here on the farm. Our property literally borders the scenic highway. Because we are so close, you can hear the sunset-view-seeking drivers, motorcycle riders, and yes, racers who come out this way for a spin on one of the most scenic highways in the world. If you prefer a more private setting you can put up a tent or bring a small RV on the riverside site on the far west end of the property, or choose the comfort of staying in our rustic cabin. Book both sites for extra large groups or if you need more space/privacy. There is no electricity or running water in the cabin, however a generator can be rented if it is desired. Potable water is also available if you bring a jug to fill. A portable toilet is available on-site. Take advantage of the opportunity to go fishing, swimming, or launch your boat/kayak/tube. Alternatively, simply relax and enjoy the picturesque views of the river and the wildlife in the coastal rainforest. Watch the salmon jump during spawning season in November, or cast a rod from our private fishing spot. We are also a birdwatcher's and rockhounding paradise! Just a few minutes away from town amenities, this location allows you to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the forested river canyon, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We are family and fur baby friendly! If you are an animal lover, take the time to enjoy a visit with our cats and chickens too. *Please note, while we have no direct neighbors, we are in a narrow river canyon. There is an active farm and wedding venue across the river. You may hear distant noise of their operations or events, depending on the season. There is also a quarry across the road that operates M-F, from 8a-3p that sometimes can be heard sporadically throughout the day.

The Hobbit House was such a beautiful stay, nestled in the side of a hill in a very quiet area. The surroundings were fun to see on the designed scavenger hunt. The neighbour dog is well-trained and left us alone for our stay (we have a reactive dog). The electric fireplace kept us very warm throughout the night. I felt the outhouse was really clean though we didn’t use the shower. The sink right near the Hobbit House was also very convenient!

My friends and I had a WONDERFUL time Rob’s Hobbit hideout. My car (two-wheel drive) couldn’t make it halfway up the hill, but we made it work. There’s running water, a toilet and shower down the hill, and the hobbit hole stays warm with the heater. There’s electricity too! The ground is grassy (with some blackberry bramble but nothing where we were walking) and a beautiful view of the opposite hillside. We even had a good clear view of the sky at night! The firepit has a grill over it and I used my cast iron and we made some Chunk steaks and corn. There’s a table to stand around and some tree trunks to sit on. There are also more chairs inside the hobbit hole with another table (and microwave. Rob came up once in our stay to say hi and make sure we were doing okay, otherwise we had our privacy and it was so much fun. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet get away!!

Margaux is a 1969 Airstream Bambi tucked into a quiet garden in PDX. She may be small, but she’s full of light, charm, and nostalgia. Put a record on, slip into the hot tub, or just curl up and enjoy the city from your own little hideaway. Inside you’ll find a kitchenette, pull out bed, and simple glamping-style bathroom. The backyard, screened porch, chimenea, and spa tub are all yours to enjoy year round. Towels, linens, shampoo, coffee, and basic cooking supplies are provided. Our commissary offers wine, beer, and pre-rolls for purchase (let us know if you would prefer these items removed). Guest access: The garden, hot tub, and firepit are available year-round (quiet hours start at 10 PM, so please keep voice and music low). While this is a shared space, we respect our guests’ privacy and follow your lead. You may see us doing light gardening, home maintenance, or letting the pups out but we always do our best to give you the right of way. Other things to note: Margaux is a queer household. All are welcome, but kindness and respect are required. Intolerance of any kind is not permitted. Shared Spaces & Pets: You may see us doing some yardwork or taking the dogs out but we do our best to give you as much privacy as we can. We do live in an active neighborhood so a little noise is normal but minimal. We have three dogs and a cat who use the yard, so if you’re bringing a pet, make sure they’re friendly with other animals and leashed if needed. Mt. Tabor Dog Park is nearby for zoomies! Please help us keep the garden intact by making sure the is no digging or running through the plants. Guest Policy & Smoking: Only registered Airbnb guests may use the Airstream, yard, or hot tub. Smoking is allowed on the deck and please use the ashtray. Bathroom & Kitchen: The kitchen is small but has a stovetop, sink, and mini-fridge and is best for light meals. The bathroom has an RV toilet and handheld propane shower—please make sure you’re comfortable with these features. Entertainment & Amenities: Record player, VHS collection, books, garden firepit, and spa tub. Essentials provided: towels, shampoo/conditioner/soap, coffee/tea, and basic cooking supplies. Guests 18+ only unless accompanied by an adult (13+ allowed).

Our camp is right off the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Highway just minutes away from Portland Women's Forum and Crown Point, the Jewel of the Columbia. Our facilities include an outdoor shower, a solar-powered composting toilet, fresh water, fire pits, and plenty of flat ground surrounded by trees for excellent camping! Please read this whole message so you are not surprised when you get here! Note: The use of the sauna, hot tub, and composting toilet are only for Glamp bookings! The campsites and tipi use the port-a-potty and have the use of an on-demand outdoor shower, which is free of charge. Our home and farm is on two acres. Your tent site, is all in our ample acreage. Although pets are welcome, we expect them to be well-behaved around our two cats, our own big sweetie of a pup, Frejya, our two crazy goats Cupcake and Muffin, and our free-ranging chickens. Expect to hear some animal noises here on the farm. Our property literally borders the scenic highway. Because we are so close, you can hear the sunset-view-seeking drivers, motorcycle riders, and yes, racers who come out this way for a spin on one of the most scenic highways in the world. Traffic quiets down after dark and mornings are quite 'chill'. If you like what you are reading, please feel free to book with us and take off for your bike journey or hiking adventure from here. Wahclella Falls, Wahkeena Falls, Eagle Creek, and Multnomah Falls are among our favorites. Larch Mt, trails are always great for mushroom hunting or bird watching. Rick and Ellen are your hosts.
