It is built with salvaged materials from nearby painted lady Victorian home that are the pillars at the entrance and the siding is from a nearby barn. The sliding door as you enter is a salvaged US Federal Building Door that glides on barn rails and it has the original mail slot in the door. The retreat is an indoor/outdoor experience as there are two walls that feature beveled shutters that open and the roof is a see through experience to watch the birds, wildlife and stars. My home for the last 34 years; I have put care, love and abundance in creating a magical garden with surprises throughout. My desire to provide charm and delight has driven most of the details that also includes a pergola that has a swinging twin bed and chairs to gather and chat. There is gorgeous outdoor lighting for at night and hanging chandelier at night surrounded in the deep of summer with mature jasmine bushes that waft their sweet scent from May into September.

It is your responsibility to make sure that your RV and/or vehicle
fit within the site you reserved.
We provide you with the RV space size and which pull-outs are allowed per site.
Please make the reservation under the name of the person staying in that site.
(It is by law that we keep records of the license plate and name of people staying at our establishment.)
Cancellation & Reservation Policies
*(any changes to your reservation arrival &/or departure date must be made two weeks prior to arrival to avoid any extra fees.
At the time of reservation, 50% of your total stay will be charged as a deposit.
The remaining balance is due on your arrival date.
One-night stays are paid in full.
CANCELLATIONS
Reservations must be cancelled 2 weeks prior to your arrival date. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of your arrival date are non-refundable.
Tents: The Retreat at Cannon Beach has a limit of 1 tent per site. Campers with multiple tents will be charged the full amount of another tent site per tent. (We value open space between sleeping units and the privacy of the neighboring guests). All vans, campers, RVs and trailers must be on an RV site regardless of size unless approved by management.
Cabins: The Retreat at Cannon Beach will provide you with a clean cabin when you check-in. A cleaning fee is included in the reservation. If after your departure the cabin requires replacement of broken appliances, missing items or extra cleaning, your credit card on file will be charged accordingly. Pets are allowed in our cabins with an additional $25 fee per night.
RV Sites: All sites are for 1 sleeping unit. No additional trailers or tents are allowed.
Other:You authorize The Retreat at Cannon Beach to charge your credit card for any property damages caused by you during your stay. Chopping trees, tables, log borders or any other activity that may damage property is not allowed. Failure to comply with these terms may result in a $300 fine.
We do have overflow parking here in the campground, additional fees may apply, please contact the office for more details. We provide the site measurements; however, you are responsible for making sure any/all rigs fit within the site you have reserved.
At check-in, the guest names, occupants, pets &/or vehicles in the party must match the information on the reservation. If any changes are needed, they must be made at the time of check-in. Failure to do so could result in additional fees.
Check in time for tents and RV sites is any time after 1:30 pm. Check in time for the cabins is 3 pm. After hours cabin check-in arrangements must be made before the office closes.
Check-out time is at 12:00 pm for RVs/Tents and at
11:00 am for Cabins.
No aggressive animals are allowed. All pets must be on a leash and you must pick up their waste. Doggie bags are provided throughout the resort.

ADD ONS TO POLICY
1. Each site accommodates one sleeping unit and one vehicle. If the sleeping unit is on the vehicle, it is considered to be one sleeping unit and one tent. Any additional vehicles and/or sleeping units are an additional fee.
2. Paying for an additional tent and/or vehicle does not automatically mean that the site will accommodate the additional tent/vehicle. You will need to contact the office to determine if your reserved site has the available space for an additional tent and/or vehicle.
3. If you have not checked out of your site by fifteen minutes after the check out time, you will be charged a late departure fee.
4. If you leave your site trashed, including pet excrements, you will be charged a fee.
5. There is a pet fee of $5.00 per pet, per night. If your dog is not on a leash, you may be charged an additional fee for each time that your pet is found to not be on a leash.
6. If you reserve a site within the two-week cancellation policy, you will not receive a refund if you need to cancel.
7. If you fail to check in for your reservation for the first night, your site will be opened back up for reservation at noon the following day, unless you contact the office to notify the staff you plan to arrive.
8. If you bring a trailer of any kind into the campground with your vehicle, you will be charged, as there is not room in most sites for trailers.
9. Additional vehicles and trailers are an additional $10.00 per night.
10. Cannon Beach ordinance restricts any loud noise from the hours of 10 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. the next day.
11. We have partial hook-up sites and full-hook up sites. If you are in a partial hook-up site and need to dump, there is a dump station available, but there is a $15.00 dump fee.
12. Cancellation Fee of $25 is applied if prior to 14 days before reservation.
13. Non-campers on site, must be reported to the office staff. They are not permitted to park their vehicle in your spot, even if there is room, without paying a parking fee of $25.00 per day.

*Please note, while we have no direct neighbors, we are in a narrow river canyon. There is an active farm and wedding venue across the river. You may hear distant noise of their operations or events, depending on the season. There is also a quarry across the road that operates M-F, from 8a-3p that sometimes can be heard sporadically throughout the day.

This spot by the river was so beautiful. Just a short walk down to the pebble shore of the river and we had a very private place to sit, listen to the river, skip rocks, and watch the wild life. We appreciated the small cabin onsite where my older mother could stay comfortably while the kids were able to tent camp right outside. We did not use the cowboy tub because of the extra charge, but it looked well kept, clean and cozy.

We had such a wonderful stay here! Michelle was an incredible host — warm, gracious, and so generous. She made us feel completely comfortable and welcome.
The property is beautiful, with gorgeous horses, chickens, and such a peaceful setting. My daughters absolutely loved the horses, and the horseback rides were a highlight of our stay. Michelle made us feel so comfortable and made the experience really special.
The bunkhouse was wonderful and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, with a Keurig and quality coffee, half-and-half, honey, tea, sugar, and all the thoughtful little touches. Although it’s advertised as communal, we were the only ones using it during our stay, so it felt very private. The shower was also amazing — great water pressure and plenty of hot water!
We loved making s’mores around the campfire with our family. My husband and I kept looking at each other throughout our stay saying, “This is so great. We would absolutely come back here.” We were both so happy with our decision to choose this Hipcamp experience and kept talking about how glad we were that we picked this place.
Such a special experience for our family. We absolutely hope to come back!

We had a nice stay. Cabin 47 had everything we needed - linens and 4 fluffy pillows for the bed, silverware, small micro-fridge, dishes, cups, towels, toilet paper, 5 cup coffee maker and filters, basic kitchen utensils, hot plate, microwave, broom with dust pan, and shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispenser. Thanks to a previous review, we saw that there was a fee for an additional vehicle and the host was very responsive when I inquired on the cost. The host was very friendly and helpful at check in. She wasn’t in the office when we first got there, but there were instructions on the check in board on what to do. When we were walking the dogs later, she was in the office and I was able to pay for the additional vehicle and the pups then. The campground was clean and since we had the cabin with our own toilet and shower, I can’t really speak to the community bathrooms and showers, but there were people cleaning and present each time my sister and I were out walking the pups. Of note, the futon didn’t seem to have its own bed linens provided and it was not a full length futon. It wouldn’t be comfortable itself for more than 1 adult taller than 5’6”). My sister brought her own bedroll and linens and she used those. She said had a good night sleep so that’s a win! Also, the full bed is raised, which added storage area but might be challenging for someone who has mobility challenges. Coffee on the patio was so relaxing! We will stay here again!

Sarah’s spot was wonderful ☺️ we stayed here a few nights for my birthday with friends and family and so enjoyed the well set up sites as well as the river access and proximity to the coast ! The extras of the pizza oven and cowboy hot tub made the trip even more enjoyable!!! They were great hosts and would highly recommend this Hipcamp ! We hope to return :)

Brian and Heathers cabin was the sweetest Cabin for My Boyfriend, me and our two pups. Brian was beyond welcoming and made us feel comfortable! The trails were great and seeing wild life in the morning added a nice touch! The abundance of blackberries made us feel like we were in heaven. Our dogs got to roam the property off leash and had the best time. We are already planning a stay soon! Thanks again Brian and Heather for welcoming us to your Blackberry cabin!

This is the absolute perfect getaway for all ages. Not only is the property absolutely breathtaking, all the beautiful horses, chickens, roosters, goats and sheep that you are surrounded by and get a chance to meet, spoil and learn about was truly the highlight. It’s the absolutely perfect for the ranch style life with some additional comforts. We had no problems locating the property with the directions provided. This will definitely not be our last visit!

It was a wonderful place to bring the grandkids! They want to come back. It's beautiful and tree filled and right by the river. The "guard" chickens are so entertaining. And "Butters" the cat is angelic. The cabin and camp space are well appointed. We loved the outdoor kitchen and fire ring. The hosts are very pleasant and accommodating and they've anticipated everything. We definitely hope to return.

The cabin is right next to the store/laundry and sauna. Sauna is amazing! It’s within walking distance to all Cannon beach has to offer. It’s a small campground, so quite cozy. Cabin has everything you need and comfortable beds. Campground very quiet.

Brian was such a friendly, accommodating host. The place was exactly as pictured and described. The cabin was nestled in the woods and offered peace & quiet. There is a propane fireplace on the front porch, a well-supplied kitchen, a comfy bed, and a clean bathroom with toilet & shower. We saw lots of deer and ate some raspberries from the bushes that line the driveway. Would highly recommend!

Brian was very nice, he guided us through the cabin on our first night. It is quiet and peaceful there. We walked the trails with our dogs; it is a very dog friendly site. We saw deer several times in the cabin's front yard and on the road to the cabin. There was also a large rabbit living in a blackberry bush near the cabin. We did have our fill of wild blackberries there, they were delicious. It was a pleasant stay and we plan to book again.

We loved our stay at Brian's cabin! Brian is very friendly and the space is beautiful. We enjoyed having dinner on the front porch and exploring the area around the cabin. No service or WiFi (but you have access to WiFi at the main house if you need it) which really let us disconnect and rest. We had everything we needed! Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay here! From the moment we arrived, it was obvious how much thought and care has gone into every detail of this cabin. Everything feels beautifully curated—not just for looks, but with functionality, comfort, hospitality, and quality in mind. It truly feels like Kim and her son thoughtfully considered what would make a guest feel at home and then went the extra mile.
Kim and her son were also incredibly attentive and responsive. When we needed the propane replaced, it was taken care of right away, and that level of care carried through our entire stay.
The cabin itself was beautiful, comfortable, incredibly well-equipped, and full of thoughtful little touches that made it feel special. It’s rare to stay somewhere that looks this lovely while also being so practical and genuinely comfortable to live in.
We had such a wonderful time and honestly didn’t want to leave. This is absolutely a place we would come back to and recommend without hesitation. Thank you for creating such a special little getaway!

Oh what a beautiful, private, cozy cabin on the creek in a lovely wooded forest area. The hostesses were a delight, very accommodating, and proud to make our stay a great experience. We highly recommend their wonderful property. The directions and access to the campground were easy, the cabin was comfortable and nicely furnished with a homesteader feeling for which the property has a rich historically significance.

The cabin is beautiful, cozy, and private. Brian was delightful and eager to help when we needed it. You may want to bring a camp stove if you plan to do a lot of cooking and don't use the toilet right before bed. The incinerator is a little loud.
