This is a quaint, older lakeside resort with a lot of vintage charm, and Silver Lake itself is absolutely beautiful. The staff seemed friendly, and the dock and common areas were nice touches. That said, the grounds felt somewhat rundown and could benefit from more thoughtful upkeep. Our biggest issue was the harsh, unshaded industrial lighting throughout the campground. We specifically came to enjoy the night sky, but the lights made stargazing difficult and were bright enough that we ultimately decided not to stay overnight. There was also noticeable road noise. With softer downward-facing or indirect lighting and a little more attention to the grounds, this could be a really lovely lakeside getaway.
The grounds were really cute, the store was sweet and the folks that ran it were nice. Lake super beautiful etc.
The tent camping was terrible. Every spot is right next each other, NEXT to the highway! All you hear all day and night is cars adding by.
They do offer adorable cabins and RV spaces which may be better, but I wouldn’t tent camp again.

Beautiful scenery to wake up to. The park host was so kind to stay open until getting there. Very clean and would recommend it to anyone

The location of this resort is fantastic. It is just a few minutes from wonderful hikes and Mt. St. Helens Visitor’s Center. The resort itself has a spectacular view of Mt. St Helens. I rented a boat and had a delightful ride around the lake. The staff were accomodating and helpful. I felt safe, entertained and cozy!

When I arrived at Silverlake, I was excited to get out of the city for a relaxing, secluded camping experience. Mind you, I have camped in a variety of places, such as bivving in thick forests and backpacking when raining, but I did not enjoy it as much as those things. When I arrived, I was told that there was an algae bloom that was potentially dangerous for my dog to go into. I was not told about this algae bloom before showing up, and it was nowhere on the website. I would have liked to have known about it before driving almost two hours. I was also told that a credit card was necessary for incidentals. I received a long laundry list of things I could possibly be taxed for, such as leaving anything in the firepits. Based on the photos in the listing, I thought my campsite was the furthest and tucked away. Instead, it was sandwiched in between a bunch of sites. I was also right next to an extremely busy road. I also saw that on the listing, it said potable water. Nowhere near the campsite was a water spigot, only on the RV sites. After sitting there for a moment, I decided to pack up my site and leave. I went to Seaquest State Park, which was literally right down the road, less expensive, and way more accommodating. When I left, I had to pester many times to get my credit card removed, in fear that I was going to be taxed after leaving. It felt like an opportunity that was wasted but was redeemed by a totally different site. Don't waste the gas; go somewhere else.

Interaction started off wrong from the get go. We booked and prepaid online. Was sent an email to check in at office and they wanted a credit card to put on file. They charge for visitors that aren't staying and anything else they can. Staff was not friendly. Although it is small and you are crammed in there, the place has potential, but the owners/staff ruin it. would not ever go back.
The hosts were very pleasant and helpful and accommodating. The setting was pretty and everything worked. And there was a CAT!!! A very beautiful cat.

This is an older park, but with a revitalized spirit. The couple who owns it is lovely— you can tell that they genuinely appreciate their guests and how much the property/venture means to them. Diverse lodging offerings break up the lot-like feel one gets at larger parks. Some spots are a little narrow, and all sites are back-in. The bathrooms have a comfortable shower area & are tidy. WiFi signal is poor but we had no complaints— that’s not why we were there. The rec area on the lake is just lovely. There’s a group fire pit, lawn games, picnic tables, and a unique panning setup doubled as a relaxing water feature. [You can purchase bags of sand (mine rough) in their gift shop which is also loaded with snacks, souvenirs, bait/tackle, rod rentals, and other activities— including tie dying your own resort tees.] There’s a small boat launch between the office & rec area that is home to a flotilla of ducks when not sending/receiving boats. We didn’t utilize the inn, but in conversing with the owner, Ember, my husband learned you can fish off your balcony. The dock houses pontoon boats, paddle boats, and more. Everything is a little older but nicely kept. This is a really lovely, unique place that is worth exploring for a weekend or longer.
Very clean park, clean restrooms, hot shower! Close to the road but very quiet. We booked one night hoping to see the Perseides Meteor Shower, we had a VERY CLEAR view of the sky as well as mt. Saint Helen’s but only saw two shooting stars each. Had nothing to do with the location because there were SOO many stars in the sky! Would go back for a weekend getaway.
Overall we had a great experience. We loved the dock access to the lake for paddle boarding and having showers/ flushable toilets was a major plus! The staff was overall helpful with check in/ check out and making sure we had everything we needed.
This campground is small and right off the main road, so it was a bit loud at night with cars driving past. There was also minimal privacy, as tv/tent sites are right next to each other. This of course is out of the staffs’ control! They did a good job. Both our RV and tent site were clean and ready for us when we arrived. The lake was gorgeous and I would consider staying here again.

Friendly staff, beautiful setting and very peaceful
I would recommend site 3 of Silverlake Resort, I clicked the wrong answer in error and cannot navigate back. The site was clean and ready when I arrived. The owners were welcoming and happy to explain everything I needed to know.. The lake was lovely, especially to sit near a cup of coffee in the morning.
I really didn’t know what to think at first. It was a cheap site we got off Hipcamp that would have some nice views. But soon as we got there the hosts were beyond kind, informative and so helpful. She told us all about mount saint Helen’s and that shaped our entire day after. We both slept comfortably and were so grateful for a clean bathroom and refreshing shower. It was even cooler that a yoga instructor came by and did a class that same night. We had a lovely view under the stars. It was a great stay

Stuff over complicate all the process of staying there talking about way for emergency vehicle even though nothing was even close to the road. I don’t know maybe it’s ok in that area to be not as friendly as people are in Seattle or another places. And its noisy from road next to camp sites. I liked the lake and view.
This was my first time camping in the PNW and I was very glad just to be able to find a site! The venue was packed with RVs and campers enjoying their summers. We stayed at Tent Site 6 which was a perfect space for fitting two tents and two vehicles. The weather was cooler than expected so we didn't mind being the furthest site from the water or the store/office. The owners were on-site, accommodating, and friendly. It was confusing when on Saturday night someone came by saying we needed to move the second car because of emergency vehicle clearance when there was clearly enough room - we were parked down a small embankment and no emergency vehicle would go off-roading, but they did not charge us for a second vehicle for the second night as we had to move the car.
Having hot water in the bathrooms was great.

Great location! They were super nice and accommodating!
The tent sites are excellent for stargazing and even with a bit of road noise our group slept great. We enjoyed watching the ducks in the morning and the excellent information on local parks and sites that our hostess Ember gave us.

Nice customer service and very clean restrooms and shower
Very kind and nice staff and owners.
Disappointed the lake was not swimmable due to algae bloom and the camp site were a pretty tight fit and very close to our neighboring campers which we have not ever experienced an issue being so close to one another just a little weird.
Nice playground clean shower and bathroom.

It was really nice to have hot showers and drinkable water all in one place. The road is quite close but not too noisy to be overly bothersome. Super nice people too!

This place was a really cool spot. You have a good portion of the ground to yourself. Perfect for my husband, dog and I. The resort has a lot of activities and the hosts are very sweet and accommodating. Don’t miss out on this place. Beautiful lake views as well.
Great camping set up & space! Came for kayaking and outdoor hangouts and got so much more. Clean and spacious restrooms (shower was a plus after hitting the water). Very helpful hosts. Great vibes, will be back
