Our Garden & Galaxy Retreat in Portland, OR is a stunner. It is built with salvaged materials from nearby painted lady Victorian home that are the pillars at the entrance and the siding is from a nearby barn. The sliding door as you enter is a salvaged US Federal Building Door that glides on barn rails and it has the original mail slot in the door. The retreat is an indoor/outdoor experience as there are two walls that feature beveled shutters that open and the roof is a see through experience to watch the birds, wildlife and stars. The queen bed is super comfortable and there is a small desk filled with maps of nearby places to play. My home for the last 34 years; I have put care, love and abundance in creating a magical garden with surprises throughout. My desire to provide charm and delight has driven most of the details that also includes a pergola that has a swinging twin bed and chairs to gather and chat. There is gorgeous outdoor lighting for at night and hanging chandelier at night surrounded in the deep of summer with mature jasmine bushes that waft their sweet scent from May into September.

This is a great neighborhood spot to park with full amenities just outside of Portland, while having immediate access to 40 wooded acres with walking path and .7 mi to the Springwater Trail for biking/running. 25 mins to downtown Portland; Easy day trips that are ~30 minutes drive to Waterfalls along the Columbia River Gorge (Bridal Veil, Multnomah Falls) or under an hour to Mt. Hood for time in the snow!
Fenced in backyard for any of your 4-legged friends to stretch. Gas fire pit, gas grill and patio table + lounge chairs are all open for sharing. Our previous homeowner had a trailer and set up this nice pad with built in hookups. We have grandparents with a 27' RV that come visit a few weekends a year, but we would love to share this corner of the woods with others looking for an accessible home base to access Portland/Mt. Hood/Gorge +.
Note: Our driveway entry is steep, but navigable. We limit the trailer/RV length to 27' in order to avoid bottoming out. Novice trailer drivers may want to avoid.
For quick bearings if you are booking while on the road, we are located just off 26 (Powell), 5 miles from I-205 or 11 miles from I-5 via the Ross Island Bridge. If you are traveling along I-84, we are 4 miles south from the exit.

This is nice rv pad at our house where we live when we are not traveling. When we are gone, we rent the main house as a furnished rental when are traveling. We also rent our furnished studio apartment above the garage on airbnb or furnished Finder. This is a nice neighborhood only 10-15 minutes to downtown Portland!

We loved our stay. It was so peaceful, with a beautiful field next door with a couple friendly cows. It nice to take our dog on a walk down the country road. The directions they provided made it a breeze to back in to the spot. We enjoyed the sitting area next to the RV space and the eggs they left for us when we arrived. Our hosts were very welcoming. We look forward to our next visit.

My partner and I started at Harmony Hollow for two nights and it was such a beautiful experience. The campsite is GORGEOUS, the outhouse was clean, and the hot tub and outdoor shower made this tent camping experience blissfully relaxing. There are easily spaces for at least two other tents on this campsite comfortably. I am already dreaming of the next time we can go visit.

Such a charming and peaceful retreat! I would say, if you’re paranoid the treehouse is quite wobbly and a bit spooky, especially if you arrive in the dark. But if the neighbors hadn’t partied so loud, it’s a peaceful getaway! Only 10mins from the zoo ands camping experience with the luxury of a toilet! Was woke peacefully by the sound of many different birdsongs. Would stay again 1000%

Red Door Farm is a great find. The setting is tranquil and quiet, and the site itself was easy to access and set up. Our hosts were very gracious and helpful throughout our stay; we really enjoyed the atmosphere they've created. Our only wish was that we could have stayed longer to get to know them better. Emily and Frank have a lovely campground that felt warm and welcoming. Upon arrival, Emily greeted us and provided a tour of the grounds, which included a beautiful tree-line with a handful of private tent spots along a down slope which led to 2 small ponds and a small walking trail. By the house there was a chicken coup, hot tub, and a barn with a yoga studio in upper floor. Even though we were in an eyeshot of the house it truly felt like we were in the middle of the woods. Apart from the tent site, we especially enjoyed the hot tub under the stars. Overall, we had a fantastic experience, if you’re looking for an intimate experience with lovely hosts this is your place. We looking forward to our next visit! Thank you again Emily and Frank!
