You will appreciate the peace and quiet of this little cottage on Rock Creek, situated on 11 acres of forest in Williams Oregon. The only sounds you'll hear are the birds in the trees and the flowing creek water. Enjoy sitting on the deck overlooking the confluence of Rock Creek and East Fork Williams Creek. A bridge crosses Rock Creek and there is a hiking trail beyond. Our garden hot tub is a welcome place to soak and enjoy the stars at night. Its an older tub but still keeps the water at 102 degrees. Our cabin has a kitchenette with a small fridge, sink, 2-burner gas stovetop, microwave, teapot, toaster, and 12-cup coffee maker, plus a few dishes, cutlery, and pots and pans - enough for simple meal preparation. Coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer are provided along with a dozen fresh eggs from our chickens when available. The cabin has a small woodstove as its only heat source. A little wood can be provided, and we provide newspaper, matches, and fire starters. There is an abundance of kindling around the property - great for getting a fire going. The stove holds 18" x 4" split logs, if you have some to bring. There are two smaller stuffed chairs, and two bar stools at a small bar-height table with views of the creek. The bathroom has a shower and vanity sink, and towels and toiletries are provided. There is hot and cold running water, although the 4-gallon hot water heater limits showers to around 5 minutes. Nice sturdy steps lead up to the loft upstairs which has an 8" full-sized (wider than a twin but narrower than a queen) memory foam mattress with fresh linens. The loft is low and cozy which allows the camper to sit up on the bed but not stand up. A compost toilet is about 100 yards away, and has electricity. Bring your flashlights to find the compost toilet as well as the hot tub as the property is very dark. Cell service is okay depending on your server, and WiFi is available. The password is listed in the binder on the hutch as well as posted on the WiFi router in the compost toilet building. Some games and puzzles are provided.

Peace is what you will find on our property. We have three wonderful listings on this 2 acres of shady trees, cool, quiet mornings and precious wild life. I loved our time on Kate’s land! They are so generous to share this slice of paradise with others. The water is clear and the swimming holes are so beautiful. The tent with the bed and the warm shower are so convenient. I would advise to bring a small space heater for the tent and also be sure you are someone who is okay with dogs, as there are 3 very rambunctious dogs and 1 very well behaved dog that are free roaming. We would definitely return.

We had such a fun stay in the wagon! It was a unique and memorable camping experience, and we really enjoyed being surrounded by the beautiful trees and peaceful setting. Weekend Trip to Secluded Riverfront Camp: 12 Acres

This was the most perfect idyllic camp spot ever! Having your own little chunk of paradise complete with a stream and a sweet protection dog?! It doesn’t really get any better than that. Oh wait… It does! You also have a big comfy bed and a hot shower! While camping, those two things just really hit the spot after a long day. And as a solo female camper, having protection dogs all around, made me feel extra safe and that alone is worth it to me. The added little touches of crystals, coloring books , and fresh flowers made it feel so cozy! I couldn’t have set up a better camp spot myself. Honestly, I could go on and on. Just book it. You won’t be disappointed.

Weekend Trip to Whisper Canyon Ranch

My visit to Whisper Canyon Ranch was a delight! We stayed in the Rose Tent and the mattress on the large bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. The tent was spacious and had everything we needed. The glamping area was well-kept, though please be advised that it's a little hike downhill to get to the port-a-potty and showers. The Ranch overall was gorgeous! We were visited by a herd of deer and saw a fox and heard tons of birds. The check-in process was easy and everyone was super friendly. We enjoyed our stay there and would definitely come back!

New favorite stop along the drive from Portland to Arcata! We felt so cozy at this comfy, secluded cabin getaway, and absolutely loved the private access to the amazing, crystal clear Smith river. Waking up (on the very nice bed) and sipping coffee overlooking the water was the perfect start to the day, and then making our way down to soak and sunbathe with the dragonflies whizing by as the sun came out was just icing on top. The portapotty was clean (and you can use it with the door open as it is so private there), just be mindful of critters rummaging about along the way after dark! We encountered a skunk but just kept some distance and there was no trouble. Recommend doing the extended checkout window--well worth it for the extra time by the river. The host was super nice, and patient as well as we were departing a bit late. We will be so happy to return again ASAP! 💚

What a gem! A beautiful off-grid cabin overlooking the Smith River. Cabin is cozy, has electricity. Perfect sized kitchen. Upstairs mattress is super comfy. Downstairs is an IKEA futon. Quiet, private personal swimming hole that's down a steep, rocky path. You can tell this land and cabin are beloved by the owner. If you're familiar with off-grid living, this is perfect for your stay! I just wish I had a longer visit.

Can’t wait to stay again! The location was amazing, the site was clean, the host was very helpful and quick with reply’s. The river access is a little steep and had some loose spots but for us and our dog was no issue and we spent a lot of time on the river!

Amazing property. Had a blast on the river and in the A-Frame. I definitely plan on going back. 10/10. A place to leave garbage and a few hooks inside the cabins would drive it to 11 or 12/10.

2 nights at Secluded Riverfront Camp: 12 Acres

If you are looking at the photos and thinking “wow this looks really beautiful and peaceful and cozy”, all of the above are true! The site was clean, easy to get to, and functioned well. We even had a surprise visit from a river otter at sunset! It was magical and the hosts were very kind and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

I enjoyed the views, the calming sound of the river, the breeze in the evenings, & the cabin! The bed was super comfy which is a bonus! We had a great time swimming and fly fishing in the river!
