The Redwoods Bend Retreat is a place to get away from it all. Located on the Yurok reservation right on the Klamath River just outside Orick, CA, we are "off the grid", through a Redwood forest and over a mountain down into the Klamath River valley. We have a 5 acre meadow, and orchard with 50 trees, peaches pears, apples, cherries, plums, pluots, apricots and grapes. We are right on the Klamath river. It's a great place to come and recharge your internal batteries. There is no cellphone service and none of our sites have internet service.
Our Main House was built in 1952 and retains the flavor of the 50’s. It houses a kitchen, dining hall, a living room, two bedrooms and a bathroom with a bathtub and shower.
Our log-built Lodge overlooks the Klamath River with 3 bedrooms, a full kitchen, bathroom and wrap-around covered porch.
Our Pumpkin and Blue Cottages. They are close to the double Yellow Shower house and toilets, and they have hot and cold running water, a propane cooktop, and a wood stove for heat. We do NOT have refrigeration, and our solar batteries or generator provides us lights at night. Campers who use our Cottages may use their own sleeping bags, but we have beds with mattresses and pillows and clean bedding. We also have an Upper Barn bedroom and half-bath rental.
Our two-story Riverview Yurt appeals to folks who want a full kitchen, a private shower and flush toilet overlooking the Klamath river from our 50 x 50 foot upper deck. Luscious to sit outside and watch the river flow by during the day, and to let the water lull you to sleep at night. For families (up to 8), folks who like to fish, or old friends who just want a very special get-away.
Each of our six campsites have a picnic table and a fire pit. Our Maple River, Grotto River and Pepperwood River sites overlook the gorgeous Klamath River. Our Morning Meadow, Orchard Meadow, and Deer Meadow sites are close to our 5 acre meadow where blacktail deer graze in the evenings.
We have a Yellow double Shower House with two separate sides, each with a toilet, sink and shower and on demand hot water, so folks don't have to wait. There's also a new Camp Shower at the corner of the orchard for our campers, along with two outhouses for camper use, one at the bottom of the road down to the meadow, and another in the woods just past Deer Meadow Camp.
We see lots of wildlife; silver foxes, a bald eagle and a family of river otters downstream, vultures, blue heron, occasionally an osprey will fly overhead clutching a freshly caught salmon and call to each other to brag about it! There are rare sightings of timid black bears who run from humans, but sometimes can be seen grazing in the meadow with the black-tail deer.
We're surrounded by old logging trails made by the lumber companies 80 years ago when they clear cut the old growth redwood on our side of the mountain, and now it's completely reforested with 200 ft tall Doug Fir, Madrone, Cedar, Oak, other pine species and Pepper wood trees, and we have written permission from the Green Diamond company to allow guest to hike on their adjacent properties.

You will appreciate the peace and quiet of this little cottage on Rock Creek, situated on 11 acres of forest in Williams Oregon. The only sounds you'll hear are the birds in the trees and the flowing creek water. Enjoy sitting on the deck overlooking the confluence of Rock Creek and East Fork Williams Creek. A bridge crosses Rock Creek and there is a hiking trail beyond.
Our garden hot tub is a welcome place to soak and enjoy the stars at night. Its an older tub but still keeps the water at 102 degrees.
Our cabin has a kitchenette with a small fridge, sink, 2-burner gas stovetop, microwave, teapot, toaster, and 2-cup coffee maker, plus a few dishes, cutlery, and pots and pans - enough for simple meal preparation. Coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer are provided along with a dozen fresh eggs from our chickens.
The cabin has a small woodstove as its only heat source. A little wood can be provided, and we provide newspaper, matches, and fire starters. There is an abundance of kindling around the property - great for getting a fire going. The stove holds 18" x 4" split logs, if you have some to bring. There are two smaller stuffed chairs, and two bar stools at a small bar-height table with views of the creek.
The bathroom has a shower and vanity sink, and towels and toiletries are provided. There is hot and cold running water, although the 3-gallon hot water heater limits showers to less than 5 minutes. A camp portable toilet is provided upon request.
Nice sturdy steps lead up to the loft upstairs which has an 8" full-sized (wider than a twin but narrower than a queen) memory foam mattress with fresh linens. The loft is low and cozy which allows the camper to sit up on the bed but not stand up.
A compost toilet is about 100 yards away, and has electricity. Bring your flashlights to find the compost toilet as well as the hot tub as the property is very dark.
Cell service is okay depending on your server, and WiFi is available. The password is listed in the binder on the hutch. Some games and puzzles are provided.

Peace is what you will find on our property. We have three wonderful listings on this 2 acres of shady trees, cool, quiet mornings and precious wild life. Amazing campsite with beautiful vibes. Everything is beautifully set up and very comfortable. There is a heater in the tent for if it’s cold, firewood provided, and coffee materials for the morning! Only note is that there is a nearby rooster that was quite loud in the early morning. Other than that though, we had a wonderful time and it was a great glamping experience!

Overall the space is nice, a couple of cons are minor but a lovely spot.
Something’s that can improve
1. Netting , the mainframes get hot during the summer but there wasp near by that made it hard to leave the side door open.
2. The bed itself was fine but was tucked under a shelf which made it hard to sleep. The beds are also on the smaller side, if you are 5’9 or taller you might not fit.
The showers were nice but the curtains are worn and can’t stay closed.
Other than that everything eles was great the river and the tea house! Definitely would recommend but always have some minor improvements to make this gem keep shining!

The cabin was perfect! Karen was so delightful and very eager to help us feel at home. The space is small but very comfortable for two people who like ourselves were looking for renewal and rejuvenation. The land is really the attraction and the silence/privacy is so well worth any change in regular living. Highly recommend this special place!

We just loved this place!! It is so magical! My 7 year old is sure fairies live there 🧚 Jacob has really cultivated a wonderful and peaceful spot and put so much thought and craftsmanship into it! Having a private swimming spot to ourselves on the river was such a joy, and the cabin itself was a dream. Our every need was met, showering outside was amazing, the porch view with the sound of the river and the crickets and the stars are something I’ll take with me forever. My dad and daughter stayed in the cabin and I pitched a tent out back. It was the perfect set up. Close to redwood national and state parks, too. We loved it and hope to be back soon!!

What a cute little campground in the heart of Redwood area! We stayed in one of their RVs (Little Foot) for a couple nights. It was clean, well appointed and the site was nice. It was a little more shady than some of the other RV sites. The grounds are maintained nicely and hosts are super friendly. Laundry on site was really nice.

Great location for exploring many of the highlights of Redwood National and State Parks. The camper was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with plenty of amenities.
The only downside is that it's parked quite close to another camper. Fortunately, it was unoccupied during our stay, so it still felt peaceful and fairly private. If the neighboring camper had been occupied, it likely would have felt less secluded.
Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend it as a convenient and comfortable home base for exploring the area.

We enjoyed our stay in the Country Cabin. It’s located in a meadow/ field with one outhouse that the whole field of campers share. Totaling maybe 6 sites. It’s adjacent to 4 RV set ups. The cabin surprised me in how warm it kept us in a 50 degree night. The bed is a king sized and we used the extra mats. It was very comfortable. We didn’t have a chance to play corn hole or explore the ranch but it looks like a fun place to enjoy nature. We had a campfire and everyone was very respectful and quiet.

We loved staying at Dan's Hobbit house. The entire property was very cool. We would definitely stay here again. Finding the property was easy with the given directions. We couldn't get up the driveway because a fallen tree was blocking the way, but the hike up was easy and beautiful! I really like the idea behind this sustainable ecovillage and would recommend it to anyone. 😁🌼☮️✌️

This was such an amazing property and we loved the yurt, the kids especially. The river access was easy, the host took the time to check in with us and give us advice and see if we needed anything. The property was beautiful. The yurt was rustic but clean and the downstairs stayed nice and cool even though the yurt was warm during the day . Night temp was perfect. Bathroom and shower was great. No problems. Highly recommend

We loved this place! Highlights were the location overlooking the river, your very own private swimming area, the privacy, and the space. It was kind of like glamping, with the shower outdoors and having to walk a little ways to the port-o-potty toilet. But also so much better than your average glamping because you don’t have to deal with anybody at all! The property is conveniently located off the highway and close to a convenience store where you can buy some basic items. You do hear the highway, as it is just across the river. But it’s not too bothersome. We spent four nights but would have been happy to stay longer. Definitely not for anyone with mobility challenges or kiddos that aren’t old enough to follow safety precautions. Hope to come back someday!

Maya and Patrick were awesome hosts! The RV was prepped with all the essentials, they stopped in to make sure we had everything we needed and it was smooth checking in and out.
The campgrounds were super family friendly, with the fun amenities, like the game room and miniature golf, the kids always had something to do. On top of that the nearby scenery was beautiful and allowed for them to partake in nature adventuring while the wife and I kicked back.
Bonus was the dog run which the pups really enjoyed!
Awesome spot, we'll be back!

We had such a great time staying in the dome! Dar went out of his way to make sure we felt welcome and introduce us to all of the animals on the farm so our daughter could pet them. It’s also a great location and we got to spend a lot of time at the beach and hiking in the redwoods. I would definitely recommend it and we were already talking about booking again next summer. Thanks again!
