Please be careful when using Google maps, for whatever reason it has taken several people to other places other than mine. I posted a picture of the entrance of my property, hopefully this will help. Hurlys Hideaway is a very nice location located approximately 2 miles from the town of Tillamook. Very close to the beach Sand Lake various Rivers for fishing kayaking swimming Etc. Approximately 4 MI from Netarts Oceanside area, Netarts Bay, Cape Mears. A very nice location to be able to access all of these activities in Tillamook County. My land is Timber, some clearings, we'll see how this goes I'm just getting started. Also, I just learned that the transient tax for Tillamook Oregon is an additional 10% and I hate to do this but I'm going to have to raise my prices $5. If you are coming from Town, I'm 2 mi. from the hospital west on hwy. 131. Look for the purple Minnesota Vikings bus shack. I also put up a hipcamp sign just up my driveway a bit. If you are coming from the south on Fraiser road, turn right when you come to hwy. 131. I'm less than a quarter mile on your left. Also a heads up lately I've had a few people that are having a hard time booking and I learned from another camper if you're staying one night you actually have to select two days it includes the day you check out I just experienced that with another camper so just a bit information I don't know if hip camp changed something or what, but if you're staying one night select two days and it'll work.

Twisted Tree Camp s a 13 acre property about 5 miles north of Long Beach, Washington. The property is long and skinny, we have built road that accesses the back of the property. The campsite is in the middle of the woods, you can wake up to many birds singing and no neighbors in sight. In the evening you can listen to the frogs singing while you stare at th campfire. The road winds thru the trees and this is not suitable for vehicles longer than 23 feet or wider than 8 feet. There are multiple twisted trees along the road as you drive in to the campsite. We have recently built the road to the campsite at the back of the land so there is still evidence of recent construction along the road. There are two cameras on site - one at the entrance along Pacific Way and one by the campsite at the end of the road. Cameras are there to monitor the site after hipcampers have left and will not be on while campers have rented the space. Nearby there is SnowPeak Campfield that has a sauna and hot tub. There are many restaurants and public beaches to experience. During the summer there are numerous events like the kite festival, sandcastle festival, Rod Run and others.

We are located 10 minutes from Hillsboro, 30 minutes from downtown Portland, 5 minutes to North Plains and 3 minutes to two wineries - Helvetia Winery and Eagles Nest Winery. We like things chill and would love to have you enjoy is special setting.

Although in the middle of the country woods, we are surprisingly only two and a half miles from the adorable and quaint town of Carlton. So beside the views, you’ll be alongside some fantastic eateries and outstanding winemakers.  Being raised in the community, and over ten years of experience in the local food and wine industry, I can give recommendations aplenty.   ꕥ  The property has been in our family since the late 60’s and has recently been transferred in ownership to the next generation! It’s been a large adjustment with many precious memories in tow. In hopes to carry on the legacy we opened up camp mid-summer 2021, and it’s a work in progress (as work normally is!), but has been a beautiful experience being in a position to share. Batwater Station is located halfway between Portland and the Oregon Coast on the Columbia River. A private refuge where river otter, beaver, mink, muskrat, seals, raccoons along with threatened Columbia river white tailed deer can be seen. Property has 1,000 feet of boat docks, river deck, and pier. At the pier is a full kitchen, heated bathroom and shower room. Included are 2 outhouses, a fire pit for summer months, a viewing station overlooking the wetlands along with brick charcoal fired barbecue and another propane barbecue. We are committed to your privacy so guests are limited and spread out. High speed internet through out the property. Batwater worked with several agencies when we breeched a levee and flooded 26 acres for salmon and wildlife habitat. Hike along the wetlands and see beaver dams and dens. Batwater is also home for many types of birds including eagles, osprey, tree swallow, purple martins, barn swallows, wood ducks, common and hooded mergansers, mallards, scoots, scaups, grebes, cormorants, great egrets, blue herons, geese and many types of song birds . In the spring and summer see our returning osprey who have. nested on our dock since 2013. There are now 2 osprey platform since a pair of Canada geese choose that as their nesting site as well. Some bald eagles winter here but we have our resident bald eagles Hep and Hope. They arrived in 2003 to start their nest on Crims Island. They still nest there although there old nest tree collapsed in 2020. Many birds migrate here for the winter. Common mammals are river otter, mink, muskrat, raccoons, nutria, coyotes, black tailed and threatened Colombia White Tailed deer. We also are home to native turtles and frogs. Batwater is a working farm with cattle feeding on lush pastures, 2 retired horses and chickens. When eggs are available, we will share some with you. Batwater is a great place to kayak, canoe, paddle board or row during the summer months. We have windy afternoons for windsurfers or sailors. The Columbia River is well known for salmon, and sturgeon. For an extra fee you can moor your larger boat while visiting. There are a volley ball and badminton set ups along with horse shoes during the summer months. We suggest swimming during the summer months when the tide is coming in or slack. You can also walk or drive down to Mayger beach which is popular with locals. There are sandy beaches on Crims island that you can paddle over too. Check out the pictures for more information.

We stayed at Site 3 at Jackie and Ron’s. The hosts are more than accommodating. We loved the location and clean bathrooms at a well maintained RV park. There was also WiFi for those that need it, and fire rings if one would like a fire. The campers are quiet and respectful. We will definitely stay here for future clam digging trips.

This campsite is rather large and is perfect for an RV. There is gravel under the grass. Lots of sun but no shade. This site can also get quite windy in the afternoon. This site is on the river and has 110 electricity and water. You have to back in or out.

We were the only ones there on a rainy October weekend but the super friendly dog kept us company and chased away coyotes at night. The view is unbeatable. The hwy noise make a little less peaceful, but a great location to hit the spots of Cape Disappointment and Astoria. I found it amusing that is in the presumed location of Lewis and Clark's "Dismal Niche" where there were trapped for several days before completing their journey to the mouth of the Columbia. It was far from dismal for me.

If you continue West on Highway 30, you will pass through many small logging towns, the old Trojan Nuclear site and eventually land in Astoria on the coast. Learn more about this land: Tucked Away Retreat is quiet and peaceful yet 45 minutes from Portland. Located on 4 private acres, watch the deer wander through the property or the hawks float overhead. Bring your bikes and hit the Crown Zellerbach trail, or hike it instead. We are located approximately 0.8 mile from the trail. Visit Sauvie's Island, the largest inland island in the United States. We are approximately 45 minutes west of downtown Portland. Our camping area is about 5 acres and offers something for everyone. If you have a large RV and need a safe and quiet spot to stay for the night, we got you. We have a large fire pit, Adirondak chairs, a large picnic table, and a swing set for the kids. Badminton and cornhole available on request. Family get-togethers or birthday parties are welcome! We are located just 1.5 miles from The Banks-Vernonia Trail. Bike campers are welcome! Feel free to bring along your 4-legged friends as well. We do not have a fence, so if you do not trust your dog of a leash, please keep them tied up. We have a lot of deer that pass through and untrained dogs love chasing them. Banks has a few restaurants to choose from: Subway, Dairy Queen, Main Street Pizza, Mary's Mexican Food, Hop-Cycle Brewing to name a few. There is also a Supermarket in town just in case you forgot your S'mores supplies, Spirits, or campfire wood. We are about 20 minutes away from McMenamins Grand Lodge, in Forest Grove, which hosts some great live concerts during the summer. We have a few fishing spots within about 30 minutes of the property. Hagg lake, Horning's Hideout, Dorman's Pond and the Wilson River are all popular spots. We have clean well water and 50A electrical hookups. We do not offer dumping of black water, but you can empty your tank at the Elks club in Forest Grove (25-minute drive) for free or Camping World over in Hillsboro. I don't mind if you drain your gray water on the property as long as you use a longer hose to keep it away from the immediate camping area. The parking area for RV's is fairly level and easy to get in and out of. During the late summer, our 5 apple trees produce great fruit. We also have 2 plum trees, and some blackberries. Feel free to pick what you would like. Currently, we do not have any public bathroom facilities available for campers, so please plan accordingly. The property had been an old timber farm that was in bad shape. In 2012, a portion of the property was cleared and planted and the adventure had just begun!The vineyard was planted in 2012, with additional blocks planted each year since. In 2015 they produced our first lots of Pinor Noir and Sauvignon Blanc and have since expanded the wine selection to offer hand-crafted lots of Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Dolcetto, Lagrein and more.These days, Chris manages the day to day operations of the farm and wine production while Beth manages the business.

Alternatively, simply relax and enjoy the picturesque views of the river and the wildlife in the coastal rainforest. Just a few minutes away from town amenities, this location allows you to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the forested river canyon, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We are family and fur baby friendly! If you are an animal lover, take the time to enjoy a visit with our cats and chickens too. *Please note, while we have no direct neighbors, we are in a narrow river canyon. There is an active farm and wedding venue across the river. You may hear distant noise of their operations or events, depending on the season. There is also a quarry across the road that operates M-F, from 8a-3p that sometimes can be heard sporadically throughout the day.

Please be careful when using Google maps, for whatever reason it has taken several people to other places other than mine. I posted a picture of the entrance of my property, hopefully this will help. Hurlys Hideaway is a very nice location located approximately 2 miles from the town of Tillamook. Very close to the beach Sand Lake various Rivers for fishing kayaking swimming Etc. Approximately 4 MI from Netarts Oceanside area, Netarts Bay, Cape Mears. A very nice location to be able to access all of these activities in Tillamook County. My land is Timber, some clearings, we'll see how this goes I'm just getting started. Also, I just learned that the transient tax for Tillamook Oregon is an additional 10% and I hate to do this but I'm going to have to raise my prices $5. If you are coming from Town, I'm 2 mi. from the hospital west on hwy. 131. Look for the purple Minnesota Vikings bus shack. I also put up a hipcamp sign just up my driveway a bit. If you are coming from the south on Fraiser road, turn right when you come to hwy. 131. I'm less than a quarter mile on your left. Also a heads up lately I've had a few people that are having a hard time booking and I learned from another camper if you're staying one night you actually have to select two days it includes the day you check out I just experienced that with another camper so just a bit information I don't know if hip camp changed something or what, but if you're staying one night select two days and it'll work.

There is a motor boat launch in the town of Clatskanie, with access to Columbia River. There is also a launch in the city park for kayaking. The Zen Monastery is just 5 miles away. Long Beach, WA is across the Columbia River via the Astoria Bridge. Lounging about the homestead works too.
