My stay was very enjoyable. Very clean camping sites, with the peaceful surroundings allowed my wife and i to relax on a safe camping trip. The security gate was comforting, and the tables provided were a very pleasant surprise. It was really nice being right on the river, and the trees giving shade were perfect.

This property was beautiful!! We stayed on site 7. It was really nice being so close to the river. The wild life is stunning as well; we saw eagles, hawks, jays, chipmunks, western squirrels. The host, James, was very welcoming and hospitable! Will definitely be returning. The campsites are close together, but you still have a sense of privacy w the trees and bushes separating sites.

Weekend Trip to Mt. Hood Enchanted Forest

The three of us and our dog loved camping at tent site B! There was plenty of space for our two tents, and more if needed. The campfire setup overlooking the river was so peaceful. Having the three wheelbarrow/wagons available was extremely helpful and made hauling our gear down the winding dirt trail a much smoother task. We stayed just one night for a Mother’s Day celebration but are excited to book again this summer for a family camping weekend. We never heard the campers down at the cabin site, so the spacing of sites was ideal for privacy while at the same time not being too far of a walk to the potable water and toilet.

So much gratitude for all the beings that make up Holistic Life Farm. Paul, his wife, and their assistant were all wonderful. One of their cats greeted me when I pulled in, and by the end of my two night stay I had met their other young kitties, their elder dog, chickens, flock of sheep with playful young lambs, and assorted cows. I was also able to purchase a sampler of some of their farm products, all of which was extremely high quality. I really enjoyed the a-frame tucked away on the edge of the property. It was warm so I kept the one side open to stay closer to outdoors. I truly was tempted to extend my stay, but have to keep up with some other tasks for now. Looking forward to next time!

James is a great host. I felt very safe camping there. The property is behind a gate with an access code. So only other people camping there have access to your site. Sites 5, 6 and 8 were my favorites. Fire ring is great and the wood that is available for purchase is excellent.

Weekend Trip to Action Sports Roamer Sites

We had a great time 🤩✨, My partner and I stayed here for our anniversary and it exceeded our expectations. Amazing facility for skateboarding, intense trampoline, rock climbing , ping pong and gym. This site is a luxury campers dream extremely nice tent with beds with heat pads and heater. They provide a lamp as well you can charge your phones with. We will definitely be back during winter season, they have amenities for snowboarders which is fantastic. Wonderful experience and think it’s absolutely amazing what programs they provide for students in action sports.

During their first date, Chris announced his goal of developing a vineyard and making wine. As the relationship evolved, Chris worked toward the goal by researching viticulture, attending classes and investigating potential vineyard sites. In summer of 2011, Chris and Beth got married and dove into the wine industry when they purchased a majestic 62 acre property in the foothills of the coastal mountain range in Yamhill County. Batwater Station on Columbia River

Batwater Station is located halfway between Portland and the Oregon Coast on the Columbia River. A private refuge where river otter, beaver, mink, muskrat, seals, raccoons along with threatened Columbia river white tailed deer can be seen. Property has 1,000 feet of boat docks, river deck, and pier. At the pier is a full kitchen, heated bathroom and shower room. Included are 2 outhouses, a fire pit for summer months, a viewing station overlooking the wetlands along with brick charcoal fired barbecue and another propane barbecue. We are committed to your privacy so guests are limited and spread out. High speed internet through out the property. Batwater worked with several agencies when we breeched a levee and flooded 26 acres for salmon and wildlife habitat. Hike along the wetlands and see beaver dams and dens. Batwater is also home for many types of birds including eagles, osprey, tree swallow, purple martins, barn swallows, wood ducks, common and hooded mergansers, mallards, scoots, scaups, grebes, cormorants, great egrets, blue herons, geese and many types of song birds . In the spring and summer see our returning osprey who have. nested on our dock since 2013. There are now 2 osprey platform since a pair of Canada geese choose that as their nesting site as well. Some bald eagles winter here but we have our resident bald eagles Hep and Hope. They arrived in 2003 to start their nest on Crims Island. They still nest there although there old nest tree collapsed in 2020. Many birds migrate here for the winter. Common mammals are river otter, mink, muskrat, raccoons, nutria, coyotes, black tailed and threatened Colombia White Tailed deer. We also are home to native turtles and frogs. Batwater is a working farm with cattle feeding on lush pastures, 2 retired horses and chickens. When eggs are available, we will share some with you. Batwater is a great place to kayak, canoe, paddle board or row during the summer months. We have windy afternoons for windsurfers or sailors. The Columbia River is well known for salmon, and sturgeon. For an extra fee you can moor your larger boat while visiting. There are a volley ball and badminton set ups along with horse shoes during the summer months. We suggest swimming during the summer months when the tide is coming in or slack. You can also walk or drive down to Mayger beach which is popular with locals. There are sandy beaches on Crims island that you can paddle over too. Check out the pictures for more information.

Having the creek to splash around in, warm running water for showers and washing dishes, trails to explore, and the delivery of fresh produce and eggs from the property far exceeded our expectations. Brenda is the best host - she answered all my questions quickly and was very generous with our group. Definitely recommend!"

The campground is in a secluded meadow next to Powder Creek, a pristine year round stream, perfect for wading and playing in. Nearby nature attractions include Silver Falls State Park, The Oregon Gardens, Champoeg Park, Feyrer Park and many more. Cold Springs Farm

Coming in at roughly 30 acres, Cold Springs Farm, established in 1915, sits nestled in its own little valley. A canyon running the north of the property in known for its wildlife population including bear, deer and elk. Our farms sits on an elk migration trail and, in April and October, we often see herds of 30 or more. The farm's namesake spring feeds a small pond that has crawdads, ducks and Blue Heron; of course, there are also curious raccoons about. We eventually intend to stock the pond with Rainbow Trout. Although we are a short 30-minutes to Portland, our private farm is free from unwanted lights and traffic, when the skies are clear starwatchers have many vantage points from which they can indulge their hobby! Our wide-open field is great for kite flying or frisbee; it's also a great place to practice your drone piloting skills. We also have paths in the tree line that you can hike and birdwatch or mountain bike. In August, you have access to pick as many blackberries as you want and trust me they delicious. Cold Springs Farm is also a sanctuary. Our current residents include our KuneKune oinkers; Chris P Bacon, Wilber, Pigit, Hamish McBiscuit and our newest member Rowdy. The resident goats include; Dolly, Freddy McNubbins, Princess Daisy Mae, Mikey, Mildred (Milly), Marvin the bottle baby, Dafne, Booger, Cyranose "Nose" and Delilah the resident therapy goat. Rounding out the bunch are our farm dogs, Oscar Braveheart, Hoppin' Howie and Lulubear. You can see their adventures on Instagram @worst.farmer.ever We look forward to welcoming to our Columbia River Gorge farm and introducing you to what our beautiful area has to offer. We are just minutes from many of the gorge waterfall hikes including the historic Multnomah falls and Vista House sitting on Crown Point.
