Our campsite is nestled among the trees next to the river. There's lots to enjoy. Do you like hiking? Silver Falls State Park is only 36 miles away. Boating? You can put in your kayak/canoe at Gills Landing in Lebanon and float down the river back to the campsite. Fishing? Bring your fishing pole and try catch and release in our pond. Swimming? Take a swim in the cool water. Of course, you can just relax by the water's edge and enjoy the tranquility provided by the soothing flow of the river.
This 192 sq. ft. cabin is very basic. There is no shower, but there is a portable toilet with a wash station located outside. We do provide a full 5-gallon water cooler for drinking since there is no running water. For cooking there is a 24" Blackstone 2-burner griddle, and small propane cans are provided. Also, the cabin is furnished with a small supply of pots and pans. There is a battery that provides lighting, and phone charging is available in the cabin. During the cooler months, there is a small wood stove for heating, and firewood is provided. The cabin sleeps 2, but there is room for a camper and/or tents. This campsite is meant to be very simple, so you should plan on bringing whatever you may need/want for camping.

GeerCrest Farm was settled by the Geer family in 1848, and is still owned and stewarded by the family. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family.
The farm features creeks, forests, pastures, orchards and gardens as well as the historic buildings. Currently we have four friendly sheep and a small flock of Mallard ducks to keep us company. The Pioneer Memorial Orchard features over 50 vairieties of pre 1850 apple trees. The Heritage Grove has ten fruit and nut trees that were recognizeds as a memorial the the early pioneers of the nursery trade by Oregon Heritage Tree program. Our peaceful, small farm offers a reflective immersion in nature and history among the occasional quacking of ducks and baaas of sheep. The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport. No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep.
Feel free to roam the farm, but always leave gates as you find them, open or closed. Please say hello to our sheep and barn cats (they may say hello first). Explore the Heritage Grove of historic trees, the Memorial apple orchard and pear glade with varieties circa 1840s, indulge your senses in our medicinal herb garden, and chat with our farm family while they water the veggie gardens, if you so wish! Your experience will certainly be unique to the season.

Our farm is nestled at the end of Honey Grove Valley in the lush coastal mountains. The creek meanders through our seven acre property. The north side contains a field, small orchard, greenhouses and barn. The south side is steep and wooded with healthy riparian. An extension to the Honey Grove trail leads out of the property accessing a user maintained hiking/mountain biking trail with 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 mile loop options.
Other nearby activities include hiking and mountain biking in Mary's Peak and Alsea Falls recreational area. Access to the Alsea River is located 1.5 miles from the property on Honey Grove Road or at nearby Clemmons Park.
The guest cabin has two rooms and can sleep (4) guests comfortably and up to (6) guests. It contains (2) queen size beds, and one pull out couch. One bed is in a loft accessed by a ship ladder. There is a small kitchen and an un-attached bathhouse. The toilet is non-flush, composting. From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin.
Other features include a fire pit, wood fired sauna, and creek access for cold dips. Internet is available in the cabin. There is a Level 1 vehicle charger available for guests.
The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts.
The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Do not be surprised to see a few or many spiders, slugs and other bugs. There are occasional bunnies, wild turkeys, Garter Snakes by the ponds and newts on the trails. Please maintain good situational awareness when enjoying the property as structures and grounds may have some inherent hazards.
The barn is off limits. Greenhouse and gardens are fine to explore as long as doors and gates are closed and dogs are kept out. Please refrain from harvesting produce and/or eggs unless accompanied or given permission from hosts directly.

"Enchanting, magical, uplifting" -- those are words used recently by our guests, describing this wonderful space. Twelve sides, windows all around, surrounded by nature, yet close to town.

Picture a cabin made of cedar and glass. It has wi-fi, heated or cooled to your comfort, a super-comfortable queen-sized bed with memory foam, a chair for reading, a fold-out desk, and a table and a coffee pot. All the bare essentials, in one place.
(Not in all the the photos — we've added lush, room-darkening curtains all around for privacy and to aid those who prefer sleeping later.)
It's situated to be rustic and inspirational, nestled into the back corner of a deep lot. There are fruit trees all around and a seasonal pond that attracts ducks in the spring and early summer. Depending on the season, you can listen to birds and frogs from inside the roundhouse, or cross the footbridge to the south-facing deck behind the workshop -- another private space for your "get away from the bustle" contemplations. Or enjoy the firepit.
Follow the wending path to the front fence and everything is nearby.
The bathroom (with tub and shower) is at the rear of the main house, right near the back door (about 30 yards from the roundhouse). It's private and only barely shared. (We have another bath-and-a-half elsewhere in the house.) We have a clever curtaining and folding wall system that can give you extra privacy if you want it. You'll be left as alone as you choose to be during your visit.
With a little bit of planning, we're happy to share our full kitchen with you during daylight hours. Same with the laundry room.
We're sharing our home with you, so we ask you to be respectful of that. We love to brag about Eugene and Oregon, and we're happy to share what we have and what we know.
We cannot guarantee that your visit with us will be enchanted and uplifting, but that's what we hope it will be. We'll do what we can to make it so.
Our listings include a 9.5% room tax assessed by the city of Eugene. Those added funds are used to promote tourism and other good things around Lane County.
Guest access
Late arrivals are easy to facilitate. The house is easy to find, even in the dark. The street is well lit and we have path lights to guide you to the roundhouse. Since it's a completely separate building, there's no need to worry about waking anyone. "We'll leave the light on for you," as they say.
What will you need? Fridge, microwave, coffee pot, toaster oven -- all yours. Laundry, full kitchen, yard, neighborhood -- shared. (Just ask.) We have gorgeous red velvet theatre curtains and a clever folding glass wall to divide spaces, but the intent is to remain permeable for hospitality's sake.

MISCELLANEOUS NOTES:
#1. After over eight years on airbnb, this space is often "taken" for most times. If you'd like to try a similarly inventive space, on the same property, employing much of the same geometry (but larger and self-contained), check out our aloft apartment.
#2. Before you confirm your reservation, please double-check certain details. Have you inputted the correct dates and are you reserving for the correct number of (human) guests? This is important because those details may alter the price you're being quoted. (We give solo travelers the lowest possible rate. All others pay a bit more.)
#3. Our check-in time is usually (anytime after) 3 pm. Occasionally, we can accommodate early arrivals, or luggage drop-off before the space is cleaned. We always appreciate knowing roughly when you expect to arrive. That helps us prepare.
#4. We send all our guests an email with detailed instructions and up-to-the-minute details for their visit. Please include your best email address when you make your reservation.
#5. We have a (slight) presence on social media, so if you feel the urge to take pictures and share it with your friends, we'd love it if you'd tag us at "oreroundhouse" and "dksez"....
#6 We welcome dogs and other pets, but we ask for a couple of things. First, do let us know when you're bringing critters with you. Second, please don't let them roam our yard unleashed. The fence has holes. Third, leaving pets unattended for long stretches inside hasn't worked very well. Gnawed furniture, yelping, too much hair on the bedspread -- that sort of thing. We have two dog parks within walking distance, so there will be opportunities for them to enjoy themselves too!

There is a large garden, and when growing season is on, we may send you packing with some fresh greens or veggies! If you see us out and about, feel free to come say hello or ask questions.

Veneta/Elmira are charming small rural towns with all the basics less than 10 min drive: Grocery Outlet, Bi-mart, Ace hardware, Auto parts, some decent restaurants. Fern Ridge Lake is 10 minutes down the road for walking trails, boating and paddling, plenty of other outdoor activities nearby. Eugene is 25 min, and the beautiful Oregon coast is 45 min drive if you want to smell the ocean air and visit Florence.

The rhododendron and vegetable gardens span a few acres. There is an old orchard with a blueberry and raspberry patch, and you have a small homestead to explore. This includes horses, sheep, dogs, and ducks. The pasture, gardens, and forest are free for roaming with respect to the plants, animals, and human residents. Our wood-fired sauna is free for you to use during a communal sauna already in session. A private sauna experience can be arranged for a fee. A hot shower is located inside of the sauna house. It is available 24/7 except during other campers private scheduled sauna times. A composting toilet is located near the parking area.
Our campground is small to promote a peaceful experience. We currently offer 2 sites, with a 3rd in progress. The Zem Bungalow is an off-grid glamping experience in a round, wooden, cozy bungalow overlooking the rhododendron garden (max 2), and the Foxglove platform, an 18 x 18 raised wooden platform ready for your tent, in a meadow next to a gently flowing creek (max 4). Four permanent residences also enjoy the beauty of Nelson Mountain Gardens. Each are separate and away from the campsites.
You are welcome to bring your well-behaved dog(s). Limit 2. Horses are welcome with prior approval. Please let us know when booking.
There is no cell phone service in our rural area. Limited wi-fi is available in parts of the rhododendron garden and at the barn for making necessary calls (no downloading, streaming or extended video calls). A phone charging station is located in the sauna house. Parking onsite is free.
Smoking or vaping anything is prohibited inside of any structure on the property. Smoking anything that requires fire is prohibited except for inside of your vehicle or on the paved road off of the property. Vaping is ok anywhere outside.

During the cooler months, there is a small wood stove for heating, and firewood is provided. The cabin sleeps 2, but there is room for a camper and/or tents. This campsite is meant to be very simple, so you should plan on bringing whatever you may need/want for camping.

GeerCrest Farm was settled by the Geer family in 1848, and is still owned and stewarded by the family. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family.

Our farm is nestled at the end of Honey Grove Valley in the lush coastal mountains. The creek meanders through our seven acre property. The north side contains a field, small orchard, greenhouses and barn. The south side is steep and wooded with healthy riparian. An extension to the Honey Grove trail leads out of the property accessing a user maintained hiking/mountain biking trail with 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 mile loop options.

The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts.
The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Do not be surprised to see a few or many spiders, slugs and other bugs. There are occasional bunnies, wild turkeys, Garter Snakes by the ponds and newts on the trails. Please maintain good situational awareness when enjoying the property as structures and grounds may have some inherent hazards.

"Enchanting, magical, uplifting" -- those are words used recently by our guests, describing this wonderful space. Twelve sides, windows all around, surrounded by nature, yet close to town.

Picture a cabin made of cedar and glass. It has wi-fi, heated or cooled to your comfort, a super-comfortable queen-sized bed with memory foam, a chair for reading, a fold-out desk, and a table and a coffee pot. All the bare essentials, in one place.
(Not in all the the photos — we've added lush, room-darkening curtains all around for privacy and to aid those who prefer sleeping later.)
It's situated to be rustic and inspirational, nestled into the back corner of a deep lot. There are fruit trees all around and a seasonal pond that attracts ducks in the spring and early summer. Depending on the season, you can listen to birds and frogs from inside the roundhouse, or cross the footbridge to the south-facing deck behind the workshop -- another private space for your "get away from the bustle" contemplations. Or enjoy the firepit.
Follow the wending path to the front fence and everything is nearby.
The bathroom (with tub and shower) is at the rear of the main house, right near the back door (about 30 yards from the roundhouse). It's private and only barely shared. (We have another bath-and-a-half elsewhere in the house.) We have a clever curtaining and folding wall system that can give you extra privacy if you want it. You'll be left as alone as you choose to be during your visit.
With a little bit of planning, we're happy to share our full kitchen with you during daylight hours. Same with the laundry room.
We're sharing our home with you, so we ask you to be respectful of that. We love to brag about Eugene and Oregon, and we're happy to share what we have and what we know.
We cannot guarantee that your visit with us will be enchanted and uplifting, but that's what we hope it will be. We'll do what we can to make it so.
Our listings include a 9.5% room tax assessed by the city of Eugene. Those added funds are used to promote tourism and other good things around Lane County.
Guest access
Late arrivals are easy to facilitate. The house is easy to find, even in the dark. The street is well lit and we have path lights to guide you to the roundhouse. Since it's a completely separate building, there's no need to worry about waking anyone. "We'll leave the light on for you," as they say.
What will you need? Fridge, microwave, coffee pot, toaster oven -- all yours. Laundry, full kitchen, yard, neighborhood -- shared. (Just ask.) We have gorgeous red velvet theatre curtains and a clever folding glass wall to divide spaces, but the intent is to remain permeable for hospitality's sake.

MISCELLANEOUS NOTES:
#1. After over eight years on airbnb, this space is often "taken" for most times. If you'd like to try a similarly inventive space, on the same property, employing much of the same geometry (but larger and self-contained), check out our aloft apartment.
#2. Before you confirm your reservation, please double-check certain details. Have you inputted the correct dates and are you reserving for the correct number of (human) guests? This is important because those details may alter the price you're being quoted. (We give solo travelers the lowest possible rate. All others pay a bit more.)
#3. Our check-in time is usually (anytime after) 3 pm. Occasionally, we can accommodate early arrivals, or luggage drop-off before the space is cleaned. We always appreciate knowing roughly when you expect to arrive. That helps us prepare.
#4. We send all our guests an email with detailed instructions and up-to-the-minute details for their visit. Please include your best email address when you make your reservation.
#5. We have a (slight) presence on social media, so if you feel the urge to take pictures and share it with your friends, we'd love it if you'd tag us at "oreroundhouse" and "dksez"....
#6 We welcome dogs and other pets, but we ask for a couple of things. First, do let us know when you're bringing critters with you. Second, please don't let them roam our yard unleashed. The fence has holes. Third, leaving pets unattended for long stretches inside hasn't worked very well. Gnawed furniture, yelping, too much hair on the bedspread -- that sort of thing. We have two dog parks within walking distance, so there will be opportunities for them to enjoy themselves too!

There is a large garden, and when growing season is on, we may send you packing with some fresh greens or veggies! If you see us out and about, feel free to come say hello or ask questions.

Things to consider before booking: we are on a secluded property with a variety of wildlife, including bears, cougars, bobcats, elk, deer, turkeys, snakes, hornets, yellow jackets, and more. We are actively working to remove poison oak, but it will be an ongoing effort.

Rustic off-grid forest sanctuary with wood-fired sauna. Home of 50 yr old historic rhododendron garden. Nestled in the coastal range of western Oregon lies our 50-acre property surrounded by a lush forest.
Explore the garden trails to find your bliss at a meditation station. Lead your own yoga session at the covered pavilion. Relax in a hammock. Walk our quiet country road or hike a strenuous private logging road for a view at the top.
The rhododendron and vegetable gardens span a few acres. There is an old orchard with a blueberry and raspberry patch, and you have a small homestead to explore. This includes horses, sheep, dogs, and ducks. The pasture, gardens, and forest are free for roaming with respect to the plants, animals, and human residents. Our wood-fired sauna is free for you to use during a communal sauna already in session. A private sauna experience can be arranged for a fee. A hot shower is located inside of the sauna house. It is available 24/7 except during other campers private scheduled sauna times. A composting toilet is located near the parking area.
Our campground is small to promote a peaceful experience. We currently offer 2 sites, with a 3rd in progress. The Zem Bungalow is an off-grid glamping experience in a round, wooden, cozy bungalow overlooking the rhododendron garden (max 2), and the Foxglove platform, an 18 x 18 raised wooden platform ready for your tent, in a meadow next to a gently flowing creek (max 4). Four permanent residences also enjoy the beauty of Nelson Mountain Gardens. Each are separate and away from the campsites.
You are welcome to bring your well-behaved dog(s). Limit 2. Horses are welcome with prior approval. Please let us know when booking.
There is no cell phone service in our rural area. Limited wi-fi is available in parts of the rhododendron garden and at the barn for making necessary calls (no downloading, streaming or extended video calls). A phone charging station is located in the sauna house. Parking onsite is free.
Smoking or vaping anything is prohibited inside of any structure on the property. Smoking anything that requires fire is prohibited except for inside of your vehicle or on the paved road off of the property. Vaping is ok anywhere outside.

Weekend Trip to Camp Colton
The grounds were beautiful. It was nice to have a bed and access to a shower and toilet. The communal fire pit was cool. It wasn’t busy this time of year, so it was just us at the fire. This would be a great base camp for fun on the Mollalla river activities or just a quick glamp getaway from the city. We booked a room after a class with the Oregon Maple Project and it was fun to learn about that operation and process and see all the tapped maples on the property. Their art classes and fancy dinner nights are intriguing. It seems like they’re building something cool out there.

Weekend Trip to Alsea Valley Farm
A lovely weekend spent listening to the rain as we fell asleep. Woke up to gorgeous views of the suspension bridge, got to take part in a sauna and cold plunge in the river, and even found some newts along the trail. An amazing stay and lovely hosts! They were very welcoming and such a cozy stay, we’ll be back for sure. :)

I truly couldn't speak more highly of a glamping site, their staff and my overall experience!!! I booked a last min solo trip out to Oregon for my birthday and by doing so I knew there'd probably be a couple mishaps or delays with bookings of all sorts, not just for this camping portion, to which the very minute hiccup was graciously handled by Allison in a swiftness and even so generously upgraded me to my own personal Yurt. It was the most cozy and charming stay a solo bday girl could ever dream of. You'd think I was exaggerating until you've experienced this for yourself. The only unfortunate thing about my stay was that my second day there I ended up dropping my phone in the river, totally my doing ofc, and since I was on this trip alone with no other back up phone nor form of communication with my family, I had to cut my stay short of one night and head back to town to figure out my situation. To which, Neal, the kindest and gentle soul let me use his phone to reach out to my parents and chatted with me and introduced me to Ollie, their handsome lil goat, as I waited to get my ride situation handled. I did tell him I was hoping I would get to town on time to get my phone fixed and uber back to the site because that's how much I was in dire need to spend every second I could there but that didn't end up being the case which is fine because it left me with just enough to hurry back for more and definitely a longer stay.

Weekend Trip to Camp Colton
Camp Colton is such a beautiful, special setting. This was our first visit since getting married here almost 20 years ago, and it’s as lovely as ever. The accommodations were spartan but cozy—exactly what we had in mind—and our host was accommodating but hands off. Plus, we enjoyed a syrup-making workshop from the Oregon Maple Project onsite after checking out in the morning. Highly recommend this remote retreat!

The cabin is tidy and cozy. There are a few games to play, and space to relax. We loved hiking the trails and hanging out near the creek. We heard a great horned owl at night. The property is lovely, and there's great communication with the hosts, who are friendly, and made the stay comfortable. The composting toilet doesn't smell bad at all, and the shower is really nice, with pretty mosaic tiles. This is our second stay, and its a great place to relax and play with family. Our kid really loves sleeping in the loft. Great views all around.

The property itself is very beautiful. The cabin has a lot of charm and character and it was nice being right next to the creek with the sound of the water. Communication with the host was both great before and during our stay. They were super helpful with getting the sauna going when we reached out. The cabin was clean and it was nice to have some legit cookware including stainless steel pots and pans and a cast iron skillet as opposed to the scratched Teflon at so many places. The kitchen has the basics like salt, pepper, and cooking oil. The wood burning stove has a good draw and heats the place well. Nice dried bundles were already next to the cabin for a very reasonable cost of $5 per bundle. There is an electric heating unit in both the kitchen and the bedroom. The only caveat being that they're not suppose to run at the same time. The cabin was really lovely along with the great host so we definitely recommend staying here.

3 nights at Amico Roma Farm
This is our second stay at Amico Roma and it did not disappoint!! The yurt is very central if you want to be able to travel out to the coast during the day, but also full of amenities so you really don’t have to leave if you don’t want to. Highlights included: listening to great horned owls call to each other, going to the Maysara winery, cooking to the sound of the rain hitting the canvas, and THEIR BRAND NEW SAUNA!!!! Amazing craftsmanship, and so relaxing!!

Camp Colton is an awesome place to visit! Their property is large and has a lot of activities to explore (animal petting area, trails on the property, and a fishing pond). They've got a variety of awesome structures including cabins, a tiny home, yurts, and a communal covered fire pit gazebo.
The Beehive cottage met my expectations perfectly, it was clean, warm, and tucked into the trees right by a creek that runs through the property. It was perfect for a quick getaway, while providing comfortable amenities during a cold and rainy Oregon fall evening.
The bed is perfectly comfortable, and was made prior to my arrival. The host provided towels and linens, I didn't need to bring anything extra.
Additionally, there is a covered back patio which is a perfect spot to sit out and listen to the babble of the creek and wildlife spot. I would recommend a stay here!

Weekend Trip to Crooked Finger Farms
The Guest House on the Farm is such a lovely and cozy place to stay! We experienced a power outage for 15+ hours from the storm, but Kristin made us feel safe and at so at home. Having all of the candles lit up around the house made the place even cozier. We loved how spacious the farmhouse was and seeing the beautiful fall leaves outside of the big windows. We also loved the close proximity to Silverton - such a sweet town! Hoping to come back to this hidden gem again to enjoy the cedar hot tub!
