3 nights at Redeemers Ridge Retreat

Slice of heaven! Quiet and beautiful views. Owners were caring and friendly. The sites were so well thought out. I appreciated all the detail that went into making this property a unique and beautiful place to stay. Just look around and you can see how much time and money was spent. The site itself is level, trash can available, firewood available, clean beautiful rock to park on, beautiful wood chairs on red stone, open property for the dog to run, enchanting pine tree forest and full hookup. Be prepared for a decent amount of wind because you are on a mountain.

Jeremy is an amazing host with a great vision. The spot by the creek he is creating is a gem. It has rained for days so the ground was soggy. We weren't gonna make it to camp before the show we were checking out at the Floyd country store so he made a little video of the least muddy spot. Pulled in and a full moon greeted us over the creek where the sun rose in the AM. 2 minutes from Floyd! Such a great spot and Super host. Thanks for making us feel welcomed.

3 nights at Meadow Creek In Dry Valley

This place is beautiful! The pictures don’t do it justice. We saw a heron and turkey milling about the creek. We enjoyed having full hookups with close proximity to VT and other attractions. If you forget anything, you’re close to plenty of options. You do need to bring plenty of leveling supplies. We used pictures of previous set ups to help us figure out what we wanted to do. We were able to make it work for our 34’ travel trailer with the door facing the creek. The hostess is a sweetheart; friendly and helpful, but won’t be in your business either! Highly recommend!

We had a lovely experience at the Babbling Brook Treehouse! We went with our two children, who loved playing hide-and-seek and walking across the slackline. We even met the animals and got a chance to milk a goat! Elizabeth is a GEM—such a kind and welcoming host. I expect that we will return again, and I would recommend it!

Our 4th time here but first time in site 6 which we loved. Amazing view of the New River as it winds its way towards the RV park. We had a strong breeze up on the site as is common for a stay here but the view is spectacular and the access for us was easy. This is one of our top 'go-to' sites when we travel and we'll be back by Fall.

The hosts were fabulous! There was a buzzing sound coming from the fright container and they drove three hours one way to come fix this issue. The spot is best for probably two car tents and one normal tent. The small drive to the river was well worth it. I had a large suv front wheel drive and it made it down and up the hills.

The property owner (my dad, who is in his mid 70s and doesn't internet so well) lives in a log home that is across the field on the adjacent property. He is probably going to stop by to say hi. (10.1.23 currently farm springs are not accessible to guests, shatley springs up the road approx 4miles north has a public spring that we highly recommend) If you are looking for a camping spot that is only 5-10 minutes from town (Jefferson NC or the quaint Downtown West Jefferson) but feels like you're in the middle of no where, then we have it! Formerly Meadow Creek Campground, this beautiful piece of land has two camping spots and a tent spot overlooking a meandering tributary of the Little River called Meadow Creek. The two camper sites have full water and electric hookup. Tent site is primitive, but guests can access water and electricity at the picnic shelter. A portable outhouse is nearby. Picnic table provided in each spot. Location is central to Radford, Floyd and Christiansburg. Cell service is spotty. It's a great place to unplug! Campsites are beyond a gravel driveway. You will need to drive through a grassy area to reach the sites. While the sites are located on fairly flat ground, leveling will be required. We do NOT recommend following GPS. Please see directions to the property and follow carefully to avoid driving around unnecessarily on narrow, winding roads.

The creek is loud and stocked with trout, with easy access along the creek, perfect for wading, floating, and relaxing to the noise. Firefly has a camp style charcoal grill, a firepit with lots of firewood, a wood pellet stove on the covered deck for grilling when its rainy outside, a wood pellet fireplace for heat, outside shower with hot water, a comfy queen size memory foam bed, fresh linens and towels, and an outside bathtub situated by the creek. it has running water and a composting toilet and there is an unattached bathhouse with a conventional toilet and an outside shower as well. The FireFly is pet friendly and please leave $25 on the counter for the pet fee. If there is freezing temperatures, There will be no water, but if the temps are well above freezing the running water is there.
