PLEASE NOTE, our rate is based on the number of vehicles in your group. The first vehicle is included in the nightly rate and admits 4 campers. WE CHARGE FOR ADDITIONAL CARS. The charge will be added to your booking once you select the number of vehicles at checkout.
Please note that each additional car admits four campers. For EXAMPLE, 2 cars = 8 campers total. If you only have two cars but more than eight people, YOU MUST select the "Extra Person" Extra for each night they are camping. Please select these extras at checkout. If you have questions about this PLEASE message me prior to booking.
Our 95-acre farm was once owned by the Davis family who predominantly raised dairy cattle. We now raise the wooly Mangalitsa pig and sell to the best chefs and restaurants. We sell our pork at the farm too!
All of our campsites are next to running water except the two hilltop sites.
Two porta-potties are on the farm and private porta-potties are available for rent. Groups of eight or more are required to rent a porta potty should you not bring your own toilet system with you. We do not allow the use of our small wooded areas as toilets. No porta potties are provided b/tw Dec 15 and March 15
Please contact us in advance regarding paying for firewood ($7/5 pieces), dogs ($15 each), day vehicle visitors ($30), private farm tour ($15/person) and/or a private porta potty ($120). thank you!

We are 1 mile off of I 40, 17 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15 min. to Maggie Valley, 10 min to the Elk at Cataloochee, 25 min to Cataloochee ski area, 10 min to Lake Junaluska and 15 min to downtown Waynesville. Asheville is 20 miles to our East.

Pull down a paved road and get out of your car and sit down at a picnic table in front of a private waterfall!
This site has a pull through, full hookup spot with 30amp for campers but tents are always welcome or a combination of the two. I've had a 33' camper, popup camper and 6 tents at this campsite all at the same time so there plenty of room for your family and friends!
We're 2.5 miles from the Cherokee Casino and 3.5 miles from down town Cherokee
If you're tired of crowded campgrounds then you'll love the privacy this campground offers. This is now a two site campground with each site being around 100' away from the other site with trees and vegetation growing in between, you more or less cant see on site from the other from May until November.
There is a orange cone that marks the border of the two sites. One set of campers will not be allowed on the other campers campsite, if this happens you will be evicted with no refund.
Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 12pm.
No shooting firearms, (although you may hear people shooting firearms because you will be camping in the mountains) but your more than welcome to bring your firearms. Its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
No fireworks.
No making trails or collecting firewood (This is not because I want to sell you firewood, its because I want to have the property remain as pristine as possible)

There is a small Church around 200 yards from the campground. They hold services every Wednesday and Sunday. They generally start around 5pm and it lasts around a hour. If your into that they would love to have you come down.
The EBCI opened a dispensary around 3 miles from the campground. It will open to all adults over 21 starting September 7th 2024.

The site's (there's only one!) first appeal is the amazing view of Bull Mountain Ridge. Beautiful all year long, but particularly in late October when the leaves are in their richest colors. It feels private and tucked away, but is very accessible to all of what the Asheville area has to offer. Downtown is a 15 minute drive; ride services and shuttles are both easy to secure and quite affordable. The backdrop of the site is forested and easy to relax in - the understory is maintained for guest use, providing cooling shade with a stunning view.
I usually try to say hello to folks and make sure they get settled in alright, but let me know if you'd prefer just to come in and have privacy. Don't feel the need to come to the house unless you can't get a hold of me via text and you need assistance. I may not be available when you arrive, but I'll try to get back in touch with you as soon as I'm able.
**Please be aware that this section of North Carolina has a particularly large population of American black bears. Any food stuffs, or other "smell-ables" will potentially attract bears.

Nestled between evergreen-covered peaks in Etowah and in the shadows of Pisgah National Forest lies Green Haven. Wildlife abounds in the area. Deer and white squirrels are a common sight. Tall white pines, poplar, and rhododendron shade the campsites. Enjoy mountain spring water during the winter and spring months (seasonal water supply). Build a crackling fire in the fire pit from available pre-cut wood and existing dead wood around the campsites. Hike the property on the designated trails and discover rock outcroppings, long range mountain views, fern forests, and a variety of wild mushrooms seasonal. Families, individuals, and groups alike enjoy camping here!
We have 3 very private campsites. "Chanterelle" campsite has a fire ring, picnic table, pit latrine, and accommodates up to 6 people. "Fern" is our 3 sided A-frame shelter that comfortably sleeps 4 people. It has as a fire ring, picnic table, and its own pit latrine. There is a spring a few yards up the gravel road from Fern. The third site, "Big Rock" is a group site located at the top of the property, offering mountaintop views. Must have V6 or 4WD to access. Big Rock has a fire ring, 2 picnic tables, and its own pit latrine.
A seasonal spring (Oct-July) is available on the property, drink at your own risk. There is also a small stream, Piney Branch, that runs year round (see map). There are three marked hiking trails. Please use the map to stay on property.
Green Haven is centrally located 20 minutes between Brevard and Hendersonville. DuPont State Forest is 25 minutes away and it includes hiking, mountain biking, and waterfalls. Boaters will find the French Broad River, Horseshoe Bend, river access less than 10 minutes. More mountain biking at Ride Kanuga and Ride Rock Creek downhill mountain bike park 15 minutes away. The 7 mile paved Ecusta Trail from Horseshoe to Hendersonville is open, several miles away. Nearby breweries include Mills River Brewery and Bold Rock Cidery 15 minutes away.

Numerous large manicured campsites in an open space DIRECTLY ON THE NEW RIVER where adventures abound! Up to 4 guests and 2 tents per site.
Newly constructed tiny home provides GLAMPING at its finest! The Liberty cabin shares a space with a few tent sites along the river. With the addition of Liberty, I have limited the number of campers to 4. (Exceptions may be made for holiday weekends). There is plenty of space for everyone and the cabin sits above the tent sites for amazing views and privacy.
While HWY 16 can be a bit noisy during busy times, step into the campsites and let the peaceful noise-canceling river serenity whisk you away. Forest views across the river with endless fireflies and stars that light up the night!
Zaloo's Canoes, Kayak, and Tubes is within eyesight and will set you up with an amazing float or paddle down river. Plentiful small mouth bass and trout fishing just steps from your site. Outhouse w/washing station. Fire pits at each site as well as a large communal fire pit and picnic tables.
Downtown West Jefferson is just 15 minutes away with local breweries, quaint restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, shopping, music, art, and a wonderful farmer's market from May - October.
The quaint little town of Lansing, NC is quickly becoming a favorite stop of mine. Check out the Old Orchard Creek General Store, Pie on the Mountain Pizza, the Old Orchard Creek Blueberry Farm, and Molly Chomper for a perfect day in Ashe County.
The New River State Park is an easy walk, float, paddle or drive away. This park is absolutely GORGEOUS and impeccably maintained, including hiking trails, public facilities, showers, boat launch and pick up, etc.
Just a short drive to multiple Blue Ridge Parkway entry points for ease of access to Boone, Appalachian State University, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, and the Linville Gorge.
Mount Jefferson and Grayson Highlands are also just a short drive away for unlimited hiking and incredible mountain views. My personal favorite is hiking with the wild ponies at Grayson Highlands!
We have Firewood available for a nominal fee. Just let us know and we will make arrangements to have it ready for you upon arrival.

Pisgah National Forest is just two miles away with plenty of hiking to explore. The charming town of Burnsville is just 10 miles on a beautiful, scenic highway. Homeplace Brewery, Birdfoot Taproom, and Snapdragon are among the local spots to visit. Asheville is also nearby at just under an hour’s drive.
The trail entrance to Big Butt is a couple miles away with a few great overlook points. If you want to do the whole 24 mile length of the trail (featuring 5 mountain peaks above 6,000ft), I can make shuttle arrangements for your party to be picked up at the end.
Navitat Ziplining is very close, as well as gorgeous flower farms and Mountain Light Sanctuary to visit over in Barnardsville. Come enjoy our mountain community!

In 2018 we purchased this property to enjoy a little freedom, privacy and relaxation. We have slowly been updating the property over the years and in the end of 2019 we decided to create the site and share it with everyone. After beginning to camp ourselves, a year later. we realized that so many campgrounds resembled the HOA like atmosphere our guests want to escape. We then decided to start our own and we hope you enjoy it!

It’s a beautiful spot to get away from the city. We had some fireflies every night. We ran low on fire wood and I messaged Nate. A couple hours later we had a ton of wood. Nate is a wonderful host. The hot tub was very clean.

Great spot near asheville! Easy to navigate and park. Pretty level spot. Lightning bugs are abundant with very few other insects. I slept very well in my pop up. Would stay again.

Finding a place to stay for multiple days in this area is a challenge. Thank goodness I found this site. I was greeted by the host immediately. He offered flexibility as I needed to reschedule without hesitation. The location is in one of the most primary areas of North Carolina to explore the great outdoors. What a wonderful experience.!

View is amazing! Arguably better than most of the overlooks on the Parkway
Elevation makes it a great spot to escape the summer heat
Great centralized location to enjoy local attractions & hikes/waterfalls in the area
Host was awesome! Very responsive, great communication & instructions
Complementary firewood available to use at site
Secluded, quiet, relaxing
Cons:
Not many level spots on the site. We did not notice until the day we were leaving, but there are some pieces of 2x4’s that could have been used to level our cooking station & cots
Very rocky. Difficult to get tents stakes into the ground. Even used lag bolts and an impact driver in place of stakes & still had a hard time
Not much grass, mostly dirt site
Things to note:
4X4 is absolutely required for the drive up
Long drive up the mountain but the views are worth it
There appears to be multiple trail cams on property which provided a sense of security while we were away from camp. There’s one at the entrance that Scott told us we could turn off, but we also noticed one at the top of the camp that’s not accessible. We weren’t made aware of this cam. Not sure if it was on or not but it appeared to be pointed directly at the campsite and did make the site feel less private
Spacious site with beautiful views. Scott has added some nice amenities like a grill, plenty of seating, picnic tables, hammock stand, & free firewood. We absolutely enjoyed the place and would recommend to others. Thank you again Scott!

We had a lovely time here. The yurt had everything we needed. The grill and burner were perfect for cooking and making coffee. The property was private and it felt like being alone in nature but with everything we could possibly need. The yurt had a battery that we could use to charge our phones and they had a fan to keep the home cool. We are hoping to come back again!

What a magical spot this property offers! I feel full of gratitude for all of the moments we enjoyed: visiting the animals and noticing the tiny piglets scurrying after their mama, taking the long walk to put in tubes at the top of the property and enjoying the gorgeous meadow, relaxing into the slow and steady water - a welcome relief from some serious heat this week, walking up the hill to see the sky change color in the evening, and returning to waves of fireflies twinkling over the grass and up in the trees, mimicked by the occasional shooting star.
The mist in the morning is other worldly.
Worries I had (how far will the porta john be?), will there be enough shade, how many mosquitoes will we smack…. Turned out to not to be issues at all. Catherine gave us a great welcome. Camp neighbors are spread out and kind.
Cows bathe in the water on the far side of the river - a fun sight each morning from this spot. Entry to the water from the shooting shed site is a bit mucky, and there is still debris in the river: wear solid water shoes and it’s fine. Tubing upstream a bit felt less worrisome re cows, and if water play is our goal, I’d book rocks or rapids next time. And there will be a next time!
Shooting shed site has perfect trees for hammocks and a fantastic location for fireflies, lawn games, and cover for your kitchen! Also a great location for viewing the pigs.
We can’t wait to return, with friends!

We really enjoyed our recent stay. Host was very easy to communicate with and very helpful. Site was exactly as described. Loved having the hot tub at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend, looking forward to our return trip.

We had the most beautiful and magical family camping experience because this property was just perfect. The owners were wonderful and kind and helpful, and just all around great. We would 100/10 recommend other families or solo travelers to definitely stay here for sure. We’ll be coming back with our whole extended family next summer!! Thankful the land owners share their beautiful property with us all to enjoy!

I don't usually stay in RV parks on Hipcamp but this one was an exception. Small park, clean well maintained sites, electric hookups, wi-fi, and a bathroom/showers. It perfectly met my needs with easy access to Brevard.

Mrs. Amy, an awesome host and beautiful soul, made our first camping trip with my family unforgettable. Her land offered breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere right next to the river. I highly recommend it to anyone.

A special place. We stayed at site 8. Full 360 degree views. Lots to do near by; we went hiking and visited the local town. We caught three trout on the river too.

My husband, dog, and I loved our stay here. It was a well thought through camp, with lots of space between sites so you don't feel like you're right on top of the person near you. It was quiet, and we could hear the creek from our camp site which was lovely to fall asleep to! Our dog LOVED meeting their dog Stetson and exploring the farm. You can feel the love and care Catherine and Rick put into their farm :)
We especially loved that they are raising Mangalista pigs and when we bought some lard from their farm, it came with a hand out explaining how to use, the history behind it, and recipes to try, which I loved. Thanks so much for hosting us! We hope to be back soon!!

5 nights at At the Ridge Camp-Riverside Escapes
My family had a blast staying at At The Ridge! The location is perfect for fun and sightseeing, and the campground had a relaxing atmosphere. The cabin was the perfect size for our group of 6, and we loved the creek right out back. Tom and Liana were so welcoming and helpful, we were immediately offered firewood and Tom brought over tube floats for the kids to use in the water. The town of Brevard is just down the mountain and has a quaint downtown shopping area, and the nearby Pisgah Bakehouse has phenomenal food. We will definitely be camping at At The Ridge again in the future!
