As soon as I walked onto this property and to the creek, I knew it was HOME! I found everything I was looking for here: a beautiful and peaceful place to rejuvenate myself and raise my child; a clean water creek for play and power supply; a spring and well for a clean, controlled water source; clean land to nurture delicious food. We (Tender Wolf and I) have accomplished a lot in the 3 years we've been here, and are constantly bringing dreams to life. We're working towards creating a regenerative food forest as well as developing green buildings to house community and guests. We are so happy to share this awesome space! Last year we were blessed to hold space for over 100 groups of people seeking sanctuary and adventure. We've added new spaces and upgrades to existing sites so that we may serve even more sweet souls this year. We've hosted upwards of a thousand of people, and are excited to welcome many more like-minded folks in the years to come.
I had a generally good experience at Cloud 9, and I also see that it wouldn't probably be for everyone. When I was there not many others were camping, so I had a the whole upper campground to myself. The fireflies were excellent! I appreciated the shower so much in the hot weather. The other campers who were there were respectful, and Jessica was welcoming. The creek is gorgeous and I love that there are trails to wander on.
I could see that it could be a very different experience if there had been many others there. In the common areas it is up to the campers to keep them cleaned up and organized, so it may be that people there would step up or maybe not. Even though it was clear that the host cared deeply about creating a welcoming space, she also seemed overwhelmed with all that may be required. If you are fussy and expecting a "glamping" experience I wouldn't recommend this one for you. If you can take it as it comes and appreciated rough edges, Cloud 9 may be great!
Jess seems like a wonderful person (she’s carbon negative!!!), but the site isn’t as described. Also, one night no one slept because of noise. I texted at 1, then 2, with no reply that night. It meant we were tired for the whole trip.
We camped in one of the sites close to the house on Saturday night and had a super relaxing enjoyable evening and morning during our stay. The view from the hillside was gorgeous, stars were out at night and the morning light was lovely. For simple car camping Cloud 9 has everything you need for an easy camping trip - flat and well maintained tent site, easy access to your car, a kitchen, lounge area, bathrooms (porta potty), friendly folks and a great dog (Shadow) to keep you company!
I loved sleeping in my hammock along the creek. They had lots of sites to choose from but only about 3/4 were hammock suitable. Property is lovely and the amenities are as described. Shower was very convenient to have available
Everything was great, the only thing I was expecting that I didn’t have was a fire pit close to my actual site.
