Our family enjoyed staying in the yurt at Cat's place. In terms of the setting, it's a beautiful area and the road into Burnsville is stunning. Coming from the opposite direction (from the south) the road turns into a gravel road in the Pisgah National Forest with a few cool hikes and nice views, and then turns back to a paved road a few miles before reaching Cat's place. (The road from Burnsville is paved all the way.) Nice place to explore. Our kids had fun playing with the bunnies and we all *loved* the yurt- it was super cozy and furnished with a sofa, coffee, hot chocolate, a tea kettle, and a charging station, and other nice touches, and had a fire pit and table and chairs right outside. plus a port-a-potty by the parking area. Cat also added a futon for us and both beds were really comfortable. It rained one night and was awesome hearing the rain while everything and everyone stayed dry in the yurt. Cat was kind, great communication, and offered suggestions on local activities, trails, eateries etc. It's ~35 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is what we came to explore, but the drive itself was a highlight. Burnsville's got a charming downtown as does Spruce Pine (nearby). Little Switzerland was cool, too. Recommended for glamping!

Rabbit-ing experience!

Absolutely lovely experience! Cat was amazing! Very hospitable and accommodating. She was very kind to show us around the rabbits which was a fun experience in itself. The tent was well equipped and a very good place for the night.

Peaceful getaway!

We had a great time at Mila's Bunny Farm. Cat was very fast to respond and addressed all of our questions. We reserved both the "Pillow Mound" and "Tiny Borrow" sites and I would recommend doing the same because they share some amenities. My daughter fell in love with the baby bunnies and she bought some yarn. Wildlife galore in a very peaceful setting.

It was so fun and so nice! It was pouring while we were there and we still had a great time. The campfire and table area is such a nice add on and so helpful in the rain. The bunnies were so cute and the the camping spot was so nice!

We really enjoyed this spot. My 9 year old got up every morning to feed the bunny’s. Close to some good hikes. And very quiet. We will definitely go back.

Perfect place to unwind

A wonderful place to glamp with the beautiful mountains and cute rabbits. My daughter had a great time feeding them. The tent is spacious and the double bed (or queen?) is super comfortable. All bedding included. Our daughter slept on the fold out couch. Bring your own bedding for that one. They provide potable water, tea, and other items to make your stay more enjoyable

Awesome Spot

Cat's camp is awesome! Loved getting to feed the bunnies in the morning. Location is pretty remote so the star visibility was unreal, loved looking up at them from our fire. Would absolutely stay again.

Camping with Rabbits!

Cat was a fantastic host, showing us everything and helping hold rabbits, and sharing about all the details. She gave a great hike recommendation 1.5mile to the Waterslide Rock and we did it at sunset. The tent was spacious and she setup 2 extra beds with pillows and sheets and blankets. She gave us extra firewood which made for a fantastic fire at night and in the morning for drinks and warmth. The tent and waterwheel and rabbits and creek running past all made for a memorable trip!!

Beautiful site with a great host!

10/10 would recommend this site for a friend! Cat was a great host, provided clear driving directions and directions once we arrived. The bunnies were close to our site but didn’t make a lot of noise and were so fun to play with! The drive to get there was beautiful and so worth being a little far away from town to get those views! Can’t wait to return!

The Tiny Burrow

What a wonderful place to camp!!! I stayed in the hammock and it was perfect! The site itself was very comfortable with a covered picnic table for food prep and a fire ring with chairs provided. The rabbits were such an added joy! They loved eating the grasses I offered ! I was pleased by the whole experience! Cat was very easy to communicate with and helped make my first Hipcamp adventure one to remember!. The drive to camp from Burnsville was also a great plus for me! Love a winding road! Thanks Cat and Mila for making my stay a joy!

I thought this place was great! The bunnies were really fun to play with. Cat was a really welcoming host. We ended up staying at the Pillow Mound, and we had plenty of space. Really beautiful area right in the mountains as well.

We really enjoyed Cat's campsite and highly recommended! The bunnies were adorable. Cat let my kids (ages 7 and 9) feed the bunnies and cuddle the babies with minimal supervision. The tent was comfortable for 4 people. We were there the end of June, but being up in the mountains kept things cool at night. This was a somewhat primitive experience for us. We brought some cooking utensils that we thought we may not need, but we ended up needing it. I would plan on bringing anything you would like to have for camping like a camping stove etc. We relied completely on campfire for cooking and for heating up water. There is no running water. The shower is a bag with a hose connected to a pump. the toilet is a short walk away, but essentially a bucket in a portable tent. Bring your own blankets. Certainly worth the visit in a nice location, just be prepared for whatever you may need to be comfortable. This was a nice quiet location situated adjacent to a house off the road, but with essentially no traffic. We could here the water from the mill on the pond during the night, which I found soothing.

I had a lovely time at Pillow Mound! I definitely savored falling asleep with the sound of the creek nearby and enjoying a peaceful campfire. Cat is a great host who was kind in answering my questions - and it was a delight to get to meet the baby bunnies she had!

I loved staying on Cat’s land! So many butterflies and bunnies, a very peaceful atmosphere. She was so friendly and accommodating. I recommend taking up her spinning lesson :) I will be back!

A haven in the woods for sure!!!

We absolutely loved our experience at Mila’s Bunny Haven. Cat greeted us with warm smiles and immediately jumped in to show our 2 little girls how to say hello to the bunnies and properly lock/unlock the gorgeous bunny huts so they could access them whenever. The bell tent is lovely with perfect amenities and lots of room. It stayed warm and dry and we slept great! We loved that the toilet was an easy walk that our littles could do independently and the fire pit was perfect for campfire cooking. To sit on the hillside and be able to see tons of stars between the tree canopy and hear the trickle of water off the waterwheel into the little pond was magical. Thank you Cat for a great weekend!
