Buck Hill Campground has been a family favorite campground for 50+ years. However, in 2024 Hurricane Helene came through and destroyed it. We are currently in the process of redesigning the main part of the campground and bringing all of our amenities back. As of the spring of 2026 our full-service cabins and camping cabins are available to rent. We are located along 1600 ft of the North Toe River. Buck Hill Campground is the perfect place for families to relax and play! The campground features 150 acres including a 1.5 mile hike to the top of Buck Hill Mountain with amazing views! The river is stocked with trout for fisherman and is also the perfect place to enjoy lazy rides in river tubes. We have 5 full service tiny home cabins (with full kitchens and bathroom inside) as well as the budget minded camping cabins (with electricity but guests use the campground bath house as there is no plumbing inside). All our cabins have their own fire pit and picnic table.

Cabin #3 features a living room w/tv, bathroom, kitchen, and mini split for AC/Heat. The main floor has a queen bedroom and there are 2 sleeping lofts (queen in each) There is a large, covered porch with swings & rocking chairs that overlooks the stocked pond. Guest bring their own pillows, linens, & towels. Every cabin has its own fire pit and picnic table.

Our Pine Loft cabin has a beautiful tongue and groove interior with a queen bed and cozy loft with a full-size mattress. The cabin has a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, overhead ceiling fan, and heater. Enjoy amazing mountain & pond views by your firepit. While the cabin does NOT have plumbing inside, there is a brand-new bath house approximately 50 feet from the cabin.

Our Brand-New Tiny Home Cabin #1 is our favorite cabin to date! It has beautiful pine T&G walls, ceilings, & floors, with all the comforts you'd want during your getaway. The cabin has 2 TVs, multiple mini split ac/heaters, a fully stocked kitchen with an oven, refrigerator, microwave, and k-cup coffee maker. The cabin can comfortably sleep 7 (9 if you utilize the futon). Enjoy beautiful pond and mountain views while sitting in your hammock or rocking chairs on your huge covered front porch.

Our Brand-New Tiny Home Cabin #2 is our favorite cabin to date! It has beautiful pine T&G walls, ceilings, & floors, with all the comforts you'd want during your getaway. The cabin has 2 TVs, multiple mini split ac/heaters, a fully stocked kitchen with an oven, refrigerator, microwave, and k-cup coffee maker. The cabin can comfortably sleep 7 (9 if you utilize the futon). Enjoy beautiful pond and mountain views while sitting in your hammock or rocking chairs on your huge covered front porch.

Tiny Home Cabin #5 Honeymoon Suite

Tiny Home Cabin #5 is our beautiful fully ADA compliant cozy cabin. This is Buck Hill's version of a honeymoon suite experience! It features a king size bed, 2 person Jacuzzi tub, gas fireplace, TV, full bathroom, full kitchen (fridge, gas cook top, microwave, coffee maker) overhead ceiling fan, and air conditioning. The entire cabin's walls and ceiling are made of beautiful pine tongue and groove boards. The cabin has an 8' deep covered front porch accessible by ramp with rocking chairs where guests can enjoy views of Buck Hill Mountain as well as our fishing pond. Enjoy s'mores by your fire pit any time of the year! You bring your own pillows, linens/blankets, and towels along with your fishing poles and hiking shoes and we'll handle the rest!

Tiny Home Cabin #11

This was a very cosy cabin and we had a lot of fun playing basketball and arcade games. I loved their gathering room where we were able to meet with so many other campers.
