Welcome to the grand opening of the Beary Cozy Treehouse! We're excited to share our newly completed treehome away from home nestled on Bearwallow Mountain between Asheville and Hendersonville. Finished in February 2026, the cabin is built between four mature mountainside trees and fully stocked with all the essentials. Inside the house you'll find one bedroom, one bathroom, living room, and loft with hammock net. The outdoor space includes a large deck with rocking chairs and hot tub. The bedroom has a queen bed and memory foam mattress. The bathroom comes complete with a three headed waterfall shower that can also turn the space into a cedar lined steam room. The living room has one side entirely walled with picture windows facing out to Apple Valley, a chaise sectional couch that converts to a queen size pull out bed, and Roku TV. The kitchen contains a small fridge, small freezer, four burner cooktop, air fryer, microwave, blender, and coffee maker. Nestled behind the stairs is an old school diner bench dinette with fresh Cherry wood slab table. Upstairs you'll a cozy loft space with a queen size pull out couch and hammock net. Curl up in a blanket, kick your feet up and get a bird's eye view from the tree tops through the loft windows. We've got wifi, towels, linens, a guidebook and all the basics waiting for you. DuPont Bike Retreat is located 1/4 mile from the Fawn Lake Access area into DuPont State Forest. The DBR is 37 acres and has a pond with a dock and numerous camping sites available. The property used to hold Glass Feather Studio, which was a glass art studio and is now Glass Feather Lodge. The mountain view from the indoor porch is amazing and there are several places to relax and enjoy this view. We just retired from Active Duty Air Force! My ancestors have owned the land our NC cabins sit on since 1836. In fact, my mother grew up there after my Grandfather returned from WWII when there was no electricity and the outhouse was a bench over the creek. I grew up hiking the mountains with my brothers and our BB guns and my Uncle Frank at our family reunions. In 2005 he deeded us a parcel of land and we built our first cabin - Smawlie. We love to come to the cabin and Hike the trails on our own property, and of course, the world famous ones that join them, namely the Bartram and the Appalachian Trails. As you explore the lake, the trails, the rivers, and the mountain roads you'll see why our ancestors settled here. In 2018 - we bought the remainder of Uncle Frank's land - and in his honor built our second cabin - Frank's Landing. Also in that year I started managing my brother Bill's cabin. When we were stationed in Alaska for 6 heavenly years - we purchased a remote parcel of property and have slowly begun to develop it. We just completed building our cabin there. Thanks for reading this little tid bit about us. We love to explore the mountains and are excited to share our cabins with you.

Great communication and an excellent site, and quiet. It can be tricky to get a good downhill run to the dump station, depending on where you park. If you watch the side of the hill late at night, you might see some blue fireflies down low.

We had such a wonderful experience staying at Candy Mountain Goat Farm! The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming to our group from the moment we arrived. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable — even offering us extra items that nobody else was using and allowing our group to spread out and enjoy the space. One of the sweetest moments of the trip was when one of the goats gave birth while we were there! It made the experience so special and memorable for all of us. He also gave some of the girls Bibles, which was such a thoughtful and meaningful gesture. The property was peaceful, beautiful, and perfect for our group camping trip. You can really tell the owner cares deeply about the people who stay there. We are so grateful for the hospitality and would absolutely recommend Candy Mountain Goat Farm to anyone looking for a unique and welcoming place to stay!

The campsite was cozy and cute, the property wasn’t super large but definitely had enough space to spread out. There are two camp dogs who were super friendly, be warned they bark a lot at night though (earplugs are a good fix). We were told the plumbed outhouse wasn’t usable right now due to drought, the host actually let us use the tiny house bathroom for our stay and it was very nice! The host was so friendly, hard to reach through the app, but was easy to get ahold of in person on the property. The goats were adorable and we were able to go in and meet them! Large shared fire pit with plenty of seating, there’s also a little camp store with sodas and goat milk products. The campsite was well worth the cost! Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely return.

This was my second time staying at Dupont Bike Retreat (likely second of many). It's so lovely to spend a weekend surrounded by the beautiful forest there. Aside from the nature, there are a few things that make this place special: an on-site trail system, very easy access to Dupont, friendly and attentive owners, tons of amenities including access to the hilltop lodge, private sites that still have a communal feel... I could go on and on. Highly recommended!

4 nights at Asheville Area Luxury Solo RV'ing

We loved camping on Nate’s land! It was spacious, clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. The additional add on amenities were great. We added the hot tub, outdoor kitchen, and the WiFi. Super fun to have the access to the outdoor area. Close proximity to town and about 20 min to everything. We would definitely visit this site again!

We enjoyed a very relaxing weekend at this very cute place! The space was bigger than it looked in the pictures and very well kept. Looking at the stairs in the hot tub was a perfect way to end the nights.

Weekend Trip to Indian Creek Rental's Mountain Camp

We tent camped here. Spotlessly clean, level site with a beautiful view of the mountains through the trees. Surrounded by nature in a small field of clover. We appreciated all the thoughtful amenities like the hot tub, shelter, beautiful, clean bath house / toilet and thoughtful items like shampoo and toothpaste if forgotten. Tiffany is a quick and positive communicator which we sincerely appreciated. Close to tons of outdoor activities. We had cocktails and dinner at The Olde Station restaurant around the corner, saw Whitewater Falls, and hiked Whiteside Mountain. We will return for more exploring as soon as we can!

Absolutely stunning building. It smells so good. Like fresh cedar. It had everything we needed to cook and then some. Honestly best shower of my life. You can’t even tell you’re on a deck. The loft beds are not for the claustrophobic or very large bodies, but they provide a blow up queen size mattress as an alternative. I’m unsure of its quality. The ladder is also quite tricky. I just wish they thought of accessibility a bit more in the loft designs. Other than that this place is a dream! Can’t wait to return someday.

We greatly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely be returning. For me, the bathrooms and the hot tub are the two selling points of this site. I have never camped somewhere with such nice, comfortable, clean bathrooms. Really cannot say enough good things!

Seriously one of the best glamping cabins ever. My husband and I had a kid free night and wanted a little get away that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. We stumbled upon this and had everything we needed to relax. The host was extremely helpful and accommodating to all of our request. I will certainly be back and recommend this place to everyone!
