Camping site was okay, got to see and interact with the goats. We were unpleasantly surprised by nocturnal man in camper blaring loud music and news at all hours of the night. We nor kids able to sleep.

It was awesome! Scott was an awesome host and the camping was great despite the thunderstorms. The WiFi was a huge help and the goats are so neat!

We had a great trip to Candy Mountain Goat Farm this weekend. We have visited this beautiful area several times and decided to give Hipcamp a try. CMGF is close to everything we wanted to do, and Scott and Nancy are great hosts. Treated myself to an amazing massage from Nancy. Highly recommended. Thanks for a great stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Candy Goat Mountain. Accessing the upper site can be a little intimidating and needed four wheel drive but once settled in it was fabulous. Watching the goats on their daily walk was a lot of fun. Scott and Nancy were super accommodating, friendly and both do a great job. Would definitely stay here again.

Tent camping on Scott’s land was great! Loved being able to interact with the goats, chickens and their beautiful, sweet dogs! It was a cozy little set up for the tent with some really pretty scenery. The stars were amazing at night! Some fun things to do near by as well.

Goats!

Very relaxing week at this hideaway in the mountains. The goats were friendly and playful and greeted us anytime we were near. We enjoyed the soaps that the hosts make on site and bought a bunch to take home. Not too far from town but just far enough. The site was well cared for and private wth a view of the neighbors cow pasture.

Scott's land is a great camping spot; secluded, private, and quiet. Fun experience and would do again! We camped on the lower rv/car spot close to the outhouse in the back. There was only one other guest on the upper spot so there was plenty of room.

The tent camping is good, the facilities are good, the goats are amazing, and the doggo is fabulous. The deep tissue massage was otherworldly, and both hosts were great.

Not what we expected..

Overall our family and the family we traveled with enjoyed camping together, but there were a few issues at the site. I feel that since they advertise and charge extra for the electrical (we have a 30 amp pop up camper) outlets should have adapters. Also, cords were all over the ground near the water spigot, which could have been from the owner working on the wiring before we arrived (he did mention he had to work on the wiring). The biggest issue that was not communicated beforehand was that one of the toilets on the property was fed by a stream. Once we arrived, we were told that they have been in a drought and we would have to carry a 5 gallon bucket with water from the spigot at the campsite back and forth. Even this would have not been such a big deal, but we were camping with 4 adults and 7 kids. It was a lot. I think that should have been communicated before arrival. Also, the other bathroom on the property was incredibly dirty and far from the site for our children to use. The man who runs the property was very kind, loves his goats, and hid candy for our kids. The communal fire pit was great and he had an entire rack of wood available. I did not go in, but my husband said they had a nice camp store. Overall, it was a nice weekend with our friends, but I feel this site might be best for those who are tent camping.

Farm Camping Perfection

Absolutely perfect stay on Scott's land. We had everything we needed, and more, with the electric power cord and firewood add-ons. We booked all of the tent sites for a gathering of family and friends and it was perfect space for the 16 of us (split between 6 tents) and could have easily fit another tent or two. The 5 kids in the group (7 and under) had a blast "rock climbing" on the boulders near the barn, giving Lilly the farm dog all of the pets, and generally living their best lives in the woods! Goats and chickens on the farm are very well cared for. Group fire pit and movie under the stars are a must for any visit. 10/10 would recommend.

Scott’s farm was perfect for our little family get away! Our three year old loved meeting the goats, and having internet on site meant we were able to find hiking spots and get ideas for activities. The other guests were friendly and we appreciated the distance between sites. We will definitely be returning!

We had a wonderful time over Labor Day weekend at Scott & Nancy's property. Our kids loved waking up everyday to play with the goats and even got some goat milk souvenirs from the little store. The hosts were very accommodating and available to answer and questions or issues we had.

Overall good experience. Nice and shaded spots to camp, though closer than I expected them to be. The outhouse wasn’t working the day we came in, so there was only one restroom for the entire camp on the opposite side where we were staying. Paid extra for firewood both nights and thought it would be at our campsite, but it wasn’t. There is a big stack of it at the front of the camp open to everyone. The camp is fairly close to towns and easy for the GPS to find.
