Our six-acre solar-powered goat farm is a quiet and peaceful slice of paradise away from the chaos and noise but close to so many places to adventure. Summer in the mountains is the perfect time to camp. While it may get hot during the day, our sleeping weather is almost always in the 60s. Feed and play with the goats, picnic along our grass-covered brook, hang out around the large fire pit, and rejuvenate while being close to the many Smoky and Blue Ridge Mountain activities. We have two custom-built RV pads with 15 and 30-amp service plus water and four grass tent locations overlooking a small brook in a forest-shaded park-like setting. Internet is provided by Starlink Business - high speed, low latency, and great for remote workers. We provide solid service throughout the entire property. Work from the top of a mountain!! IP service is available throughout the property - perfect for Van Life or van living. 200-300 down and at least 20-30 up!! Nearby are numerous hiking trails, lakes, waterfalls, and other outdoor activities such as tubing, white water rafting, and boating. If you want to chill, you can check out a local swimming hole, We have several options for our guests at the farm, including a small zipline, farm activities, loop trail, massage services (20+yr licensed), spring trail, wine tastings, weekly outdoor movies (on request), and our petting area where you can interact with very friendly goats. RV/CAR/VANLIFE We can help by recommending and using local mechanics, on-site RV repair (they come to us), solar and power troubleshooting, and good old-fashioned southern kindness. STORMS/BAD WEATHER Located on the campground is a tiny home shed that is being converted to a studio but is open and available during harsh weather.

Grass Tent #3
This is a great place to camp! The host Scott is very pleasant and helpful. He has made this place a comfortable and fun place to visit. And who can resist goats and the perfect farm/camp dog Lily?? We were very pleased with the accommodations - especially since I am on currently on crutches with a broken ankle!! We would definitely recommend a stay here!!

You can never go wrong with goats!
Scott and Nancy were excellent hosts! Our boys absolutely loved playing and learning about their sweet goats so much we even ended up coming home with two of them! We would highly recommend camping here if you are looking for a get away. Their store is super convenient and full of handmade items by Nancy that you can not pass up. (Candles, soaps, lotions, and more!) Scott was great with our kiddos as well, letting them play with the goats and chickens and providing us recommendations of fun places to adventure to while there. We will definitely be back! Thanks again for your welcoming hospitality and time.

We had a great vacation!
My husband and I had a great time camping at Candy Mt. Goat Farm! It was a small, intimate experience, while giving you both the comfort of being close-ish to town in case you forgot anything, but secluded enough to feel like you had your own private piece of land to camp on. We Were right beside the plumbed outhouse, and there were 2 other place to use the restroom if needed. They have camper/RV on site that you can use, or a bathroom attached to their home/store, but that bathroom is only open during certain times. Scott was an incredible host, and went above and beyond to make sure we have the best stay possible. When a storm was coming, he made sure to stop by our tent with a weather update, and where to go to seek shelter if needed. There's zero cell phone service, but they provide wifi, which was surprisingly fast and surpassed my expectations.

Grass Tent #1
Exceeded all expectations
It was first family camping trip and I am so happy it ended up being Candy Mountain Goat farm! The camp site has everything we need and more! I am not even talking about abundance of firewood at hand. An actual toilet and shower?! Don't need to tell me twice! But the best are the goats of course! Unlimited petting zoo! Definitely going to come back.

Nice little place. Peaceful. The goats are really cool, especially Rudy and Oreo. The wife said the massage she got was wonderful.
