3 nights at Little River Hideaway

We enjoyed a wonderful quiet weekend at this somewhat secluded campsite. Very large space with full hook up, large enough for two campers. This is in a residential neighborhood with a nearby, beautiful community garden, not in a campground. Host Jann was an excellent host, clear directions, and information was provided upfront. The location worked well for us as we used it as a homebase to do day trips to Dupont forest and looking glass hiking, town was about 15 minutes. The WiFi was helpful to stay connected since there is no cell service much of anywhere in Pisgah. We will definitely be back!

Great camping experience with cover from the rain! We camped for 2 nights and booked this site because of the pretty much constant rain. We had an amazing time and the cabin was perfect. Would definitely come back again sometime.

2 nights at Smoky Mountain Meadows

This campsite was a fantastic surprise! It was a bit confusing at first—especially the “open field tent camping” layout—but once I figured it out, everything made sense. There are a ton of amenities: the laundry worked perfectly, there are plenty of outlets in the common areas (super helpful for non-electric sites), and the WiFi was surprisingly strong! When I arrived, storms had just knocked out the internet, but the owner was very responsive and had it back up quickly—which was crucial since I work remotely. The bathrooms and showers were cleaned daily and always spotless. I was really impressed with the overall maintenance and care of the property. The location is peaceful and relaxing. I actually ended up extending my stay because I liked it so much. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, well-equipped place to camp, whether you’re just relaxing or need to get a little work done while on the road.

We loved the level lay of the site and could choose how we pulled in. There is an enormous covered shelter with lights that is perfect for gathering for meals. The property is beautiful with views of the mountains and it was such a peaceful setting! We loved watching the deer at dusk and fireflies light up the night!

Nice spot towards the end of the campground, so away from most of the people. Directly next to a creek which made falling asleep very relaxing! The campground itself is nice with clean showers & bathrooms. It would be nicer if they'd clean up some of the old broken down RVs and building equipment, but that's really my only complaint.

We just returned from yet another amazing stay at our favorite camp spot, and it did not disappoint! This has become our go-to spot , and every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. The lot we stayed on is incredibly spacious and the privacy is unmatched. No nosy neighbors , no noise, just the peaceful sounds of nature all around. It truly feels like you have your own slice of wilderness all to yourself. The site is well-maintained, level, and easy to access, with plenty of room for our setup and extra space to relax without feeling cramped. And the new gazebo is a great addition! Whether you're lounging by the fire, watching the stars, or just enjoying the quiet, it’s the perfect place to unwind. If you’re looking for a campground that offers real seclusion and space to breathe, this is the one. We absolutely love it and can’t wait to return again soon!

1 night at Marshall Creek Farm

This cabin is adorable! Super secluded and great location for anyone looking for an off grid stay. We hiked pilot mountain which is only 20 min away and a beautiful hike. And it’s dog friendly! We will definitely be back.

I almost don't want to leave a review for this gem of a RV Resort because then it'll be hard to get a reservation! :) What a great place!! This a relatively new campground with a beautiful pool, covered pavilion with lots of seating and what looks like brand-new playground equipment. Plus, lots of places to fish, kayak and swim in their lakes. They had activities & food trucks all weekend. And hayrides! We live about 200 miles away but we will definitely be back!

Eden Oaks Vineyard & Campground

Eden Oaks Vineyard & Campground was a tobacco farm (antique tobacco barn still on property). The house was built in 1910 and has been updated. We purchased it in 2014 and converted it into a vineyard. We have RV sites with 50 amp and 30 amp electric hookups and water, and tents sites. For 2023 our rates are $30/night for RV Sites (50 amp or 30 amp electric hookups and water) and $25/night for Tent Sites. Tent sites do not have electricity or water hookups, but water is available at the well. (Due to inflation, 2024 our rates will be $30/night for RV Sites, $25/night for Tent Sites.) We do not have a dump station, but we do have a Port A John and a list of dump stations nearby. Campfires are allowed unless we have a state issued burning ban. Campers are responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires. Please be extremely careful during dry or drought conditions. Conveniently located one mile from Hwy 421 but remote and peaceful with plenty of room to roam on our 22 acres with grapevines, fruit trees, forest, creeks, fields, goats, Beagle and Jackabee (Beagle/Jack Russell) dogs, cows, chickens, ducks and goats. Also, we have wildlife such as birds, squirrels, groundhogs, deer, raccoons, opossums, etc. We are about 15 miles from Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro (home of the Merle Fest and Apple Festival). Eden Oaks is 18 miles from W. Kerr Scott Dam & Reservoir, 24 miles from Stone Mt. State Park, and 10 miles from Elkin (sponsors of the Wine Festival and Pumpkin Festival). Eden Oaks is in the heart of the Yadkin Valley and Swan Creek AVAs (American Viticultural Area). We're next door (3 miles) to Raffaldini and Piccione Vineyards. Welcome to Peak A View Farm & Camp where Rest and Relaxation are a Reality! Come enjoy the beautiful landscape of the western mountains in Ashe County, NC on ninety acres of farmland and forest surrounded by mountain peaks, the New River and breathtaking sunsets. On the drive in, to the southeast you can see Peak Mountain for which the property was named. The mountain is part of the New River State Park and is known for its scenic river views and hiking trails. Two RV buddy campsites are available on the property. Campsite #1 was originally created for our personal use. Campsite #2, so our fellow camping buddies could join us. Although a short drive from our homes, the serenity of the property always makes us feel as if we’ve travelled many miles. Camp sites are laid out in an ‘L’ shape which creates the perfect group camping experience. Guests can choose to camp alone or invite others. Campsite 1 and 2 are reserved together as one booking due to the close proximity of the sites. The property is secluded but easily accessible. Campsites are full hookups which include water, sewer and 50 amp electric. Both sites can accommodate any size RV. They are gravel and level which makes getting set up easy. A 30 x 30 shelter with concrete floor, lights, picnic tables and trash bins is nearby. A fire pit and chairs are also a nice addition for evening enjoyment. Firewood is available. The area is pet friendly. Pets can be off leash, however, you might consider leashing your pet, as wildlife is frequently seen. If your furry friend is anything like our two dogs, the chase is on when a deer or squirrel makes a sudden appearance! During your stay, take a 7/10 mile walk down to the New River. Pull up one of the chairs on the small covered deck overlooking the river, sit back and take in the sounds of the calming waters. Watch floaters, kayakers and canoe navigators pass by or enjoy your own floating, fishing and swimming. On the other side of the river is part of the New River State Park. A 15 minute drive will take you to downtown West Jefferson for restaurants and shopping.
