We have stayed in campgrounds in Florida all the way up to the Canadian border in New York. Including quite a few in North Carolina. And I must honestly say that DuPont Yurts and Campground was absolutely the best place we have ever stayed. The sites are amazingly generous, the bathhouse pristine, the roads through the huge campground are well maintained, and you have no doubt that you are camping in the woods, on a mountain. We stayed in a long term site and our neighbors have become lifelong friends. The rest of the sites offering shorter stays are AMAZINGLY private. Sherry, our host, is gracious, hospitable, responsive and clearly dedicated as much to preserving this natural wonderland as she is to her guests. And the location is the best ever! Short drives to hiking trails and waterfalls, farms offering fresh produce and meats locally raised, orchards, breweries, farmer’s markets, and local cafes and restaurants offering fresh farm to table meals. If I could give DuPont Yurts and Campground a 10 star review I would. My pictures aren’t the best, but I will include them in this post. Thank you, Sherry! Look forward to seeing you the next time. The camp group was well maintained and bath house was beautiful. We got the last site available for our weekend trip. It was a perfect location, quiet campground and the host was extremely friendly. I highly recommend. Site 263 is mostly rock and open sun but some of the other sites were more shaded. We will definitely be back!

Nice campground. Stayed in site 206. Level spot with creek and wooded area. Rock steps down to a large level fire pit area. Beautiful bath house. Host supplied great seasoned hardwood bundles, very nice firewood for $13. Sherry was super responsive. Looking forward to staying again soon.

We LOVED staying here! So clean and so much to do nearby that we were sad we only stayed three nights! Owners were extremely nice and responsive and helped us pick the perfect site! We will definitely be back and will recommend this campground to anyone looking to stay in the area! Can’t wait to go back!

Site 21: Sherry's Trail 20/30 amp, 30'L Back-in Sites w/Water
We loved being at Dupont Yurts and Campground! The sites are beautiful and very well maintained. The bath house is flawless and SO clean. I loved that there was a little canteen with some snacks, beers, and ice cream and it was far enough away that it didn't feel like it was imposing on our nature time - what a nice perk. I would absolutely recommend to anyone considering!
