River Bend Rapids campsites (Site 1 and Site 2) are on beautiful, very private pull-thru level sites overlooking the French Broad River and Little Pine Creek in Marshall, NC. Each campsite has full electric hookups (50 amp, 30 amp and a 110 outlet) and there is a central water tap (drinkable) to fill up water tanks. Each site has a 6-8 person picnic table. There are NO sewer hookups or porta-a-potty facilities on site. You must have fully self-contained sewage and waste systems. There is NO dumpsite on the property. Both sites overlook and have direct access to the French Broad River on Section 8 and the views are breathtaking at these very private sites. The sites are accessed from a locked gate on a private paved road along Little Pine Creek. You can access the rivers from the campsites for fishing and boating.River Bend Rapids is a riverside camp site with two beautiful open & level gravel sites (Site 1 & Site 2) overlooking the French Broad River at 188 River Bend Trail, Marshall, NC. The views are breathtaking at these two very private riverside sites on the French Broad River as it carves a big turn through the mountains on Section 8. The sites have RV, trailer or tent camping options. Each site has full electric hookups (50 amp, 30 amp & 110 volt) and access to a central water value (drinkable) for filling water tanks. Each campsite has a large picnic table (6-8 people). IMPORTANT NOTES 1) These sites have NO sewer hook-ups or bathroom options. All sewer and toilet options must be self contained. 2) Each guest is expected to take all trash with them when leaving the camp sites.....leave no trace ethics. Surrounding Areas: Marshall (10 minutes from the sites) is a very lovely and interesting town to explore for great restaurants [Star Taco, Zuma's, Zadie's, MadCo, Highland Station, High Adventures BBQ], brewery & pizza (MadCo), bakery goodies (Jenny Lu's), bar and pool tables (Mal's), art galleries (Madison Arts Council, Flow,), local music (Zuma Cafe, Zadie's, Depot, MadCo), great natural food store (Madison Natural Foods), Super Ingles (supermarket), native plant garden at Madison Library, white water rafting and tubing (Blue Heron White Water, MadCo Tubing, French Broad Adventures), bike rentals downtown Marshall , great hikes and history (Madison Chamber of Commerce), Horse Back Riding (Sandy Bottoms Trail Rides), Premier Motorcycling roads in the heart of the finest motorcycle roads anywhere. Mars Hill, Weaverville, and Hot Springs, NC are 15 minutes and 25 minutes, respectively from the River Bend Rapids camp sites. Hot Springs Spa is 25 minutes from camp sites. Asheville activities are 25-30 minutes from camp sites.
