Claws cabins and RVs

FYI, the neighboring property has a shooting range roughly 50 feet behind sites #2 and 3. The berm they shoot into is only 40-50 feet behind sites #2 and 3 and only a few feet below where you will be staying. They shoot in the direction of the camp sites. My wife and two small children had a traumatic experience over the 4th of July weekend where we had to evacuate our camper related to the neighbors shooting assault style weapons into a target not more than 50 feet directly in the direction of our camper on site #3. Our friends on site #4 have video footage of someone shooting a rifle in the direction of our camper while my children were inside only about 100 feet away. I cannot describe in words how reckless this was and my kids are still traumatized weeks later. Police were involved in this incident and Hipcamp was directly involved as well. Our vacation was severely disrupted and we had to relocate our camper late at night because of the incident. We are experienced campers and have never had an incident quite like this nor could have fathomed one quite like it. Please do your homework before staying at this campsite. From what we were told, the neighboring property is not happy about the campground and does not respect its existence. Prior reviews are positive, so you may have a great experience, however, we did not. Our family is traumatized from our stay here.

Turtle Back Falls. Site 4

Easy to park. Enough room to walk the dogs and keep them happy. 10 minutes to bike trails, waterfalls, hiking. Close to food/grocery. Beautifully surrounded by trees and very clean. Worth every penny.

I don't usually stat in RV style parks on Hipcamp but this was an exception. The sites were clean and well maintained. Electric hookup, wi-fi, and bathrooms/showers. Worked perfectly for my one night stay with easy access to Brevard.

Loved this spot! Nice sites with full hookups and a nice clean bathhouse/game room. Krista was very responsive to communication, and best of all is the location! 10 minutes to DuPont or Pisgah for outdoor activities!

My husband & I stayed here for the weekend with our 19-foot camper and our 2 dogs. It worked out really well! We chose site 4, on the end, to give ourselves a little distance from the other sites, and it was a good choice. The sites and hookups are all well-maintained, and the bathhouse was also clean and pleasant. They even provide free firewood! It’s a short drive into Brevard for shops, restaurants, breweries, etc. There was a fair amount of road noise, but with all the other positives, that wasn’t a big deal. We would definitely stay here again.

We thought this place was great. Great location to Pisgah and Dupont. Not very big. We used the hot tub feature and really enjoyed that. It was great.

We had a wonderful trip to Brevard! The campsite was conveniently located between Pisgah National Forest and DuPont State Forest. The property was clean, quiet, and beautifully maintained, with thoughtful amenities that made the stay comfortable without losing the outdoor feel. We especially enjoyed campfires each evening. The owner was responsive and easy to work with. We highly recommend this campsite and hope to return in the future.

This campsite was wonderful. Easy to find, easy to navigate the driveway and park. All of the hookups were in great shape, and they even had Wi-Fi. The surrounding area is beautiful, and I look forward to coming back to visit again

We were in town for a wedding. This campsite rocked! Easy pull in for our camper, well lit, fire pit and picnic table. It was close to so many waterfalls! Dave is a must meet. Helpful and just pure fun to chat with! Highly recommend. We shall return!

Great new camping spot near Brevard

We loved Claws Cabins and RVs. An all new facility under the trees and conveniently located between DuPont Forest , Pisgah Forest, Brevard, and Mills River. As a biker I had easy access to the great MTB trails (and craft beer) in the area. The owners and management were very kind and attentive and included us in a grand opening celebration with family and local friends. We had RV spot #1 which is a large pull through and lots of shade. The other sites all looked nice too and had good separation from one another. We’ll definitely stay there the next time we’re in the area.

Fantastic location and great access to Brevard, Pisgah, or DuPont! Sites were clean, well taken care of, and the hosts were very responsive to questions. I have an RTT trailer rig, but these sites would be great for a camper, and parking them should be very straight forward. I will be back!
