This property is part of an original hundred acre woods in the Adirondack Park overlooking Lincoln Pond. My grandfather moved an old ice house under the property in 1943 and built the existing camp in 1949. Her family lives in Florida and has continued to maintain and improve the old camp for the last 40 years. After having done selective logging two years ago we discovered a spot in the back of the property overlooking the pond and with the removal of a couple of trees have a beautiful view of Lincoln Pond. The deck with the Yurt is the beginning of an eventual cabin. I live in the main house from late May until late October and decided to share it with like minded nature loving folks. It’s a 1/2 mile hike from the parking lot with total privacy.Learn more about this land:Located on top of a hill on a 100 acre wildlife sanctuary overlooking Lincoln Pond and the Adirondack High Peaks. Private Yurt on wooden deck with solar shower and water pumped up from nearby creek. Access from parking area over old logging road by SUV or ATV or a 12 minute hike from the parking area. 15 minute drive to numerous Adirondack hiking trails. Enjoy starry nights with a Biolite Bonfire. Two twin air beds and one king air bed. Bring your sleeping bags. Glamping at its best!

4. ADK Treehugger's Paradise

48mi from Tupper Lake · 1 site · Lodging
Fully equipped Camper, with a spacious front porch. Maximum: 4 occupants. Queen bed. Futon inside the camper sleeps one. A large futon on the porch sleeps two. Bunk beds for two children <10. Full kitchen. Composting toilet and outhouse (no flush toilet). Indoor tiny shower, plus an outdoor shower and washer/dryer. Close to Elizabethtown, Essex. Pet friendly, with 32 acres of woodland with trails that will take you to ledges with views of Coon Mt. Easy access from I-87, the Adirondack Northway. We used to do a lot of canoe camping in our younger days. We call this "glamping." Refrigeration, a/c, high-speed WiFi, and an oven are wonderful luxuries... Good news! We will be fully solar-powered soon… hopefully in September! We tried to imagine what we would want if we were returning from a week-long canoe trip. A hot shower, a washer and dryer, an internet connection, and a good hot meal. We are “living the dream in the Adirondacks,” and we are happy to share with others. We have enjoyed visiting the Adirondacks for many years. My father was born in Keene and grew up in Keene Valley. We still have family in the area. My husband Richard and I just retired in June 2024. We could not think of a more beautiful and peaceful place to live out our retirement years. We searched for 6 years and finally settled on the gray house in Westport, with 32 acres of wooded land. You have the entire camper, porch, high-speed satellite internet, full kitchen, indoor full bathroom with composting toilet, outdoor shower and washer/dryer, fire pit, outdoor seating, outhouse, and 32-acre woodland surroundings. Feel free to explore the two marked walking trails (former logging trails). One is marked with orange tags; the other is green. Park in front of the camper.

Our Family has owned this property for over 60 years. Jim & Sue spend their summers here. Our son recently vacationed at some great glamping sites around the country and had a vision of creating one on our property. We are excited to share the experience of what camping in this historic region of the Adirondacks is all about. Black Hole & Dunkley Falls campsite is located on an 80-acre old Adirondack farm. The Mill Creek runs along with this property, which features access to the scenic Dunkley Falls & The Black Hole — a cavernous geological anomaly. This famous swimming spot is a perfect place to test your nerve with a backflip off its 20 ft cliffs or just take a leisurely swim in the naturally formed glacier pool. Like to fish? The Mill Creek is also stocked annually with over 3000 brown & rainbow trout. All of this is just a short walk from our property. Onsite: Two Canvas Wall Tents (16ft X 14ft ) and Outhouse. In addition to the Canvas Wall Tents, we have a canvas bell tent for rent for larger groups. You can reserve this by adding it as an extra when checking out with us here at Hipcamp.
