You don't have to be an interpretive dancer (though it's probably recommended) to understand the helpful interpretive signs that describe the six distinct habitats through which the Beaver Pond Nature Trail passes at Higley Flow State Park. Despite the otherwise heavily-wooded and hilly terrain, there is a sandy beach for swimming and plenty of leveled campsites so you won't roll your own little dam down stream. We are 300 feet off a road and are surrounded by small hamlets and villages within the park. There is so much to do in this vacation wonderland. Enjoy local breweries and vineyards during your visit. The Adirondack Park (ADK) consists of old growth forests that cover more than 100,000 acres of public land in the Park and we live in the park. Lori and Ray are the BEST hosts! The site is very well maintained, clean and spacious! Their driveway is wide enough to accommodate even a large motorhome. When you get here Lori and Ray will be there to welcome you and are a wealth of information to the area and all the things to see and do. The site is set up to easily reach everything from your water, power, sewer and trash. The property is very private but yet a stone throw from town and just a 30 min drive to Lake Placid, Plattsburgh etc and some of the best apple orchards in the United States! The views are stunning and hiking trails galore. If you come here expect to see lots of wildlife grazing nearby and the night sky is amazing.
We spent a month here and we can’t wait to come back, Ray and Lori were the perfect hosts, friendly, accommodating, and just the nicest people ever. Every year this will be our “go to place” and our hidden gem to escape every day life. We can’t recommend enough! They get five star rating from us!

Holly has a great setup boardering state park land with trails that connect. The area has a lot to offer with some great hikes. They have potable water available close to the camp site and a porta potty at the site. If you like animals, they have all sorts of farm friends for you to watch and visit with. It was a wonderful place to stay.

A great, convenient, and thoughtfully laid out site. I stayed two nights while exploring the trails and really enjoyed the view over the field with their horses during the day and the stars at night were amazing. The outhouse was convenient and clean as well. I definitely plan on returning someday soon!

Lori and Roy were fantastic hosts at Adirondack Magic. Upon arrival, they were very welcoming, and walked me through all the steps to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. They also provided me with information on what events were going on in the surrounding area which made me feel very connected to the surrounding community. After introductions, they were very respectful of privacy, and only reached out if there were important updates to be shared. They're proximity to the main hiking areas is so ideal, and its such a short drive into town to stock up on supplies if need be (hardware store, groceries, gas ect.). Lori and Roy even arranged an outing with myself and fellow campers, and drove us to a local brewery to enjoy some local beer, pizza and live music. such a fun experience! hope to be back soon!

We loved Outerspace! We stayed at the Knotty Pines site and it was awesome - private, cozy, and had everything you’d need for camp including table & chairs, cooking grate, some utensils, and sink. Cara was so nice and had some great suggestions for things to do. Easy to find, easy to drive in an out, clean toilet…a really great spot!

Quiet, secluded, flat. It was a peaceful stay at a no frills site. I would definitely stay there again! Lots of wildlife…deer, turkey, owl, coyotes.

This was a lovely camping spot with lots of space and beautiful fall views. Picnic table, fire pit with chairs, and your own porta-john. Close and easy to get to from the highway, but with no loud traffic. It's quiet at ADK Saddle Hill and highly recommended!

Lori and Ray are great hosts. Very helpful in providing info on the area, showing how things work, doing whatever possible to make things convenient (eg, they provided a pooper scooper to use!) etc. Their sites are nicely located, very flat and a great jumping off point to see Lake Champlain, Lake Placid and all the beautiful trails in-between. Overall, a very nice experience and we would definitely return.

This is a great site. Just off the road, up a little dirt road, and into a big open meadow. I keep coming back since the sites are level and big enough for my camper. This time, the colors were spectacular. Highly recommended!

the site had everything we needed! It wasn't exactly as pictured but none the less, we enjoyed the solitude, time admiring the horses, taking in the fall foliage on trail walks - we had fun. The owner was very nice, and was there to welcome us.
