is a family-friendly campground located in upstate New York amidst the Taconic and Berkshire mountain ranges, set between Albany and Pittsfield, MA, and only two hours north of New York City and two hours west of Boston, MA.
We offer both wooded and open sites that can accommodate any size trailer. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, water, 30 or 50-amp electrical service, and many offer sewer. Groups and tent campers are welcome.
Woodland Hills campground is easily accessed from Interstate 90. The campground’s private pond offers swimming, fishing, and paddle boating. Come in for the classic camp atmosphere and our camp store carries many convenience items and treats. We have three Riverside Retro trailers to rent for campers who don’t have their own rigs but who also don’t want to tent overnight, as beautiful as our wooded tent sites are!

Located closely, 1/2 mile to the award winning New York State brewary of the year, Wayward Lane Brewary. The brewary offers live music and events often. Middleburgh Winery 10 minutes away. On the snowmobile trail. For history buffs walk to the historical Palantine house or Old Stone Fort. The property has a house on the far end of the 7 acres but that is the only house you will see. The camper site itself is on flat level surface of packed sturdy number 2 stone. It is next to our storage barn where you will have access to an outdoor electrical outlet. If you face your camper away from the storage barn you will only see the field and woods. Our location is known for underground caves.

For generations, the majestic waterfall has been revered for its spectacular beauty. It’s considered a sacred site central to local land rematriation work with the Kanienkeha:ka.
Coursing between two outcroppings in a deep ravine, the waterfall crashes down over mossy rock shelves into emerald swimming holes and through dramatic clay beds. It’s one of those extraordinary spots on earth that make you feel like you’re in another world. The sites aren’t suitable for parties or loud groups.
It's about a 10 minute hike to the waterfall where you can spend the day swimming, exploring the clay beds and looking for fossils in the 280 million year old gorge. In the evening, make a campfire and fall asleep under the stars listening to the river below.
The hike is steep and appropriate footwear is required. All hiking is at your own risk. Although your path to the waterfall is private and the waterfall is on private property, there may be other guests or locals that access the waterfall further down the road. There is no glass or alcohol allowed at the falls.
Be aware that you may hear your camping neighbors in the woods. For this reason, we ask that you don’t play amplified music and keep noise down after 10pm to enjoy the sounds of frogs, crickets, owls, and night songs of the countryside
At the entrance to the campsites there is a barn community room with a charging station, cold water sink, fridge, coffee maker, cookware, and a port-a-potty. There are 5 gallon solar shower bags that you can use at your campsite. You are responsible for filling them and putting them in the sun to heat the water.
This is a leave no trace site. Take all your trash with you when you leave. Bring your own biodegradable soap for dishes and toilet paper for the port-a-potty!
Firewood is available onsite for $1 per log.
The Schoharie Valley is said to be the most fertile valley east of the Mississippi. It is still wild, unspoiled country and there are many local farms stands with fresh produce and organic meat close by.
Within a 5 miles radius is a general store, Scrumpy Ewe Cidery, Panther Creek Arts, Rooted Movement, the Sap Bush Country Store and Café, and Mustang Valley (a wild mustang sanctuary). Nearby hikes include Looking Glass Pond and Vroman's Nose, and others.

Easy entry off a quiet well maintained country road in the town of Conesville, NY. Sitting on 5 acres you will notice the beautiful views of the Catskill Mountains. Feel free to hike the entire property. Hike down the gorge approximately 80ft to the seasonal mountain fed creek. You will find massive boulders, and various artifacts as this property was once a mining operation dating back to the early 1920s. Be mindful of partially fallen trees on the hillside along the south end. It’s a steep hike down so get your hiking poles and good boots. The north end is an easier hike. If you find any cool artifacts they are yours to keep or just leave them and we will add them to the display for the new cabin. Check out the iconic ‘57 Chevy Bel Air halfway down the gorge. With your stay we are offering 20% off your cabin stay when it becomes available. 20 minutes to Windham, Minekill State Park and Bates State Forest(down the road.) The Milk Run is approximately 15 min away back toward the interstate. There is a dump station, gas station and they have great sandwiches for the ride home. So many great things to see, just ask. Our slice of paradise consists of 225 acres of forested land nestled in the foothills of the Catskills near Albany. We are a homestead and small campground devoted to the principles of organic farming and self-reliance. Modern agriculture and big business are unsustainable, destroying farmland at an accelerating pace. It is important for us to teach the next generation, there is an alternative. We produce much of our own food. We have friendly goats, chickens, ducks, peacocks, donkeys and horses the guests can pet and feed. There are no swimming holes on our property, but many waterfalls and swimming spots within a short drive (see list below). A quick 5 minute drive will get you to one of the best disc golf courses in the north east. For the truly adventurous, Clarksville Cave is a short drive away. Visit their website for list of proper gear and rules. We do rent some of the equipment needed.

According to a few sources we've consulted, the Mohican people (Eastern Algonquian family of tribes - not to be confused with the Mohawk, a distinctly different tribe) were the indigenous occupants of the land where our farm is now located. Historians note that the name Mohican is from the indigenous word meaning "water that flows in two directions." Most Mohicans were driven into western NY and Canada when the Revolutionary War broke out.
Local history indicates that the first white occupants to build here were the Hawley Family, in 1790. Parts of the farmhouse date to this era. Outbuildings were added through the decades and centuries, and the land was used as a dairy farm, among other ventures, by previous owners.
We purchased the property in 2021 in hopes of providing more space, nature and outdoor living for our two little ones. We have two fields dedicated to Christmas trees, as well as apple, pear and cherry trees, and we've had successful garlic harvests to share with neighbors, family, friends, and at local farmers' markets. There are many activities and amenities that make this place stand out. Laundry on site and another one across the road if it’s too busy. Nice pool and outdoor games to take advantage of. The only weakness was the wooded campsites needed more gravel as it gets muddy after raining which it did both nights we were there. Overall a really good option for visiting Cooperstown which was only 15 min away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cooperstown Beaver Valley. The campground and public areas were incredibly clean. The children's playground was very colorful and inviting for the younger children. Safety was also considered as the area is fully fenced. They had an egg hunt for the littles the weekend we stayed and the kids seemed to love it. Lastly, the staff was very kind and responsive, providing many local attractions that might be of interest in the area. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are considering gifting our son and his family a weekend stay next year as their "family holiday gift" this Christmas.

Oasis among the rolling tree covered hills. Level driveway steps from a private lake w dock and diving board. 30 amp electric hookup and water conveniently located. Clean, well manicured area with community fire pit next to miles of clearly marked hiking trails. Todd provided trail maps and a list of amenities in the area like restaurants and laundromats. He and his wife were so wonderful and personable and well organized. I had some water leak issues while I was there and Todd was understanding and very helpful. The surrounding view and neighbors farms were so gorgeous on every walk. I felt so much peace the week that I stayed here. About a 20-minute drive from many stores but you could never tell that sitting and enjoying this property. Highly recommend. They even sent me home with doggie treats for my two pups.

This was our first time at a public campground. It was a great experience! It was very easy to check-in, connect everything and use the wifi. We hardly noticed other "neighbors" were there and the ones we saw were super friendly. We used the bath house also, and it was the cleanest toilet and shower we have ever seen!! We loved our quick overnight stay at Spacious Skies! The site was easy to access, quiet, and perfect for a restful stop on our Northeast road trip. There was plenty of space to park our camper van, and we appreciated the clean facilities and friendly staff.
Our dog had room to stretch and explore, and the peaceful surroundings made for a great evening walk. Bonus points for the starry sky and quiet night’s sleep!

We had a wonderful time at Todd’s beautiful property. We stayed at his RV site overlooking the pond in our 5th wheel. It was quiet and very peaceful. Hubby did some fishing but no catching!
Todd was very nice and informative. He met us at front of the property and showed us where to go, when we pulled in. He was always available if we had any questions. We didn’t have a chance to hike his 100+acres, but hopefully next time. The well water was some of the best water we’ve ever had—crisp, cold and refreshing.
Overall, it was a wonderful, relaxing time spent in the Eastern Catskill's.
