Potable water available. Pet-friendly! Bring a bike and explore our dirt trails across the street. We bought the property in 2015 and opened the facility in 2019. As it happens, it's a 12+ acre lot surrounded by wetlands, hiking and biking trails ... there will never be another building built within view of our facility. We are surrounded by nature, and will be forever. So what a great opportunity to offer camping and access to all of the forests, woodlands, wetlands and trails around! Bring your family & friends to camp at our quiet and very modest small farm. Located in backwoods horse pastures with free range chickens, a dog, and a couple of horses. The property is very spread out and there is an outhouse for all sites to us. Your pets are welcome too! Locally there are state parks with beaches, and state forest for trails & lakes, hiking and biking. Or you can just relax and enjoy the serenity! Other attractions include local farmers markets, Gilette's Castle, and the famous River Ferry crossing the Connecticut River with a vehicle across to East Haddam. We cannot allow any wood for camp fires to be brought in form the outside for environmental reasons. It can be purchased for $12 per bundle on this site or $10.00 here at farm. Farm Fresh eggs daily when available for $4.00 per 1/2 dozen. No bedding is provided for cabin or trailer sites. Garbage removal is available as well $5 per bag provided.

This property has been in my family for three generations. It is classic Connecticut with hills and streams and stone walls. The octagon is a private 122 ft.² that is electrified and heated. It has a full size bed, cabinet and table with chairs. It sits next to a brook on 56 acres of forest with a pond, small waterfall, marsh and 2 1/2 miles of hiking trails. There is a fire pit and outdoor dining area next to the octagon. Out house with composting toilet close to octagon is heated. A great place to rejuvenate in the forest! Dogs welcome.

We are a shabby beach chic 3 bedroom cottage (sleeps 6 comfortably) just down the street from three private beaches on the Long Island Sound. Great Hammock Beach is quiet and quaint in a tidal basin creating sandbars perfect for walking at low tide just off the dock! Enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding, kiting, fishing, and viewing wildlife in our protected and preserved surroundings. Perfect for the outdoors type as we have no heat (except for space heaters). There is a large outdoor shower only which is open to the sky and perfect for star-gazing in the steam! Beautiful sunrises to the east of the marsh and breathtaking sunsets to the west over the Sound will make your stay magical and memorable forever!Learn more about this land:Charming beach cottage is comfortable and quaint surrounded by the salt marsh and Long Island Sound, thus called Great Hammock Beach. Awesome natural habitat for fishing, kiting, kayaking, paddle boarding, and communing with wildlife. Guests must bring own linens and paper goods. There is no indoor shower, however, our large outdoor shower is privately enclosed and makes for a unique bathing experience open to the sky and billions of stars! While there are a few blankets inside the house, please note there is no heat except for a couple space heaters. Perfect for the outdoors lover! Also, the owners live on the property at the small rear cottage at all times.

Or keep it more simple with local farms, ponds and chillax. Perfect central stop en route to your final destination. Please bring supplemental firewood. The last renters burned all that was available.
