The Hunter Mountain Skyride has chair lifts that take you to the top most days of the year.

The Esopus Creek offers some of the best fly fishing in the country, particularly for trout. For a home base, check out the Kenneth L. Wilson campground, just a short drive from Mt. Tremper. The ground is on Wilson Lake and has a fishing pier to cast off into the shallow water.

You can also explore the Catskill Forest Preserve by water, following the many tributaries and lakes. Little Pond campground is a nice jumping off point. In addition to tent sites, there are several remote campgrounds off the beaten path for more seclusion. Just down the road are Big Lake and Alder Lake, two favorite spots for flat-water paddling. Much history here, with the small town of stone houses, making Hurley a national historic destination. This serene is secluded on a mountain surrounded by trees with seasonal views. The campsite is neighboring 105 acres of beautiful conservatory land available for hiking. No true trails are available, but you can be adventurous and hike further up the mountain, arriving to a clearing, providing you with a lovely mountainous view. From the mountain, you can hike to a waterfall or even hike across a lovely plain field surrounded by mountain ranges on both sides and crossing the creek over to Historic Stone houses in Hurley. Within a 10 minute drive check out some of the local restaurants like Alebrijes, Hickory BBQ & Smokehouse, and the Hurley Inn where the movie “Tootsie” was filmed!. Hurley Marbletown Trailhead and Rail trail parking are only a 6 minute drive away! The town of Kingston is about 15 minutes from our site where you will find Bluestone Wild Forest, antique shops, restaurants, other outdoor activities! The nights are just spectacular as you look into the sky surrounded by a blanket of stars, able to see the many constellations looking like jewels on a black cloth. The sounds of nature and all of it's distinct calls including that of eagles, is truly an experience. And we cannot forget our other friendly neighbors, the wild turkeys and deer! We are very appreciative of this beauty and would love to share this sacred place with you. Learn more about this land: Feels like you’re away from civilization but yet close to all the Hudson valley has to offer. 15-20min from Woodstock, rosendale, stone ridge, Rhinebeck, red hook, New Paltz and Mohawnk short 30 min drive. The glampsite is a yurt with a fire pit and a full modern bathroom just a short walk away. For a small fee, you can also rent our bikes for riding the nearby rail trail or just visit the waterfall 2 miles away. Wood available for purchase. Located In upstate New York is this hidden gem. This camper was old school, now turned new. With a full renovation to give it a Scandinavian look in the front, and a cozy cabin feel in the bedroom. This will give you a unique experience different from the normal camper your used to! Also at your campsite there is a firepit, garden hose,(not available during the winter)and a 8x8 hammock perfect to stargaze in! We are now offering kindling firewood with fire starter and matches. Feel free to reserve your own firewood. $10 *PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING* I want to be transparent with you guys on the property and size of the camper! -The camper is very small only 21ft. The average height clearance is 6'2" so if you are tall this may not be for you. (I'm 5'9" and its comfortable for me) -If you are a bigger person this may feel too tight for you especially in the bathroom area -The bed is a full size some couples may feel that this is to small for them. -A hot shower will last about 15 minutes once it is heated up. -In the summertime there is bugs some may get into the camper. We do treat the area with safe bug spray but it may not fully prevent them. -There are two other tiny houses and a main house on the property. They are far apart but the main house is close. We have a privacy fence that fully blocks the house. So you are still very private but you are not fully secluded. -In case of fire There is a fire blanket, fire extinguisher, and a smoke/carbon monoxide detector inside the camper. The bedroom door is only to be used as an emergency fire exit. (Door is locked from the outside but unlocked from the inside) There is also a water cannon outside for outdoor fires. Please be responsible with all fires! -If you want to cancel you must cancel within 24 hours of booking then I will issue a full refund. There is no running water but we provide one gallon of drinking water and one gallon of water for washing up in the bathroom. You can add-on our outdoors camping shower setup for an additional $30, which is more like a birdbath than a real shower, but you can add hot water so it is warm. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Perfect Getaway! Roscoe Campground is hands down one of the best campgrounds we’ve ever stayed at! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome — they’re incredibly friendly and helpful. You can tell they truly care about the experience of their guests. The campground itself is spacious, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. Everything was spotless, from the campsites to the facilities. There’s plenty of room to spread out, relax, and enjoy the outdoors without feeling crowded. And the river? Absolutely amazing. Whether you’re fishing, floating, or just sitting by the water taking it all in, it’s the perfect touch of nature that makes this place extra special. We can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and scenic camping spot!

John’s camper was super fun! My partner and I loved it as a little summer getaway. Here’s some things to note: shower never got hot (there was instructions to wait 20 minutes after turning the heat button on and letting the water run but it never turned warm). Oven did not work :( If you plan to go to this site in the summer, be prepared to have a lot of buggy friends fly in to the camper at night. TV, bed, and everything else was amazing.

4 nights at The Catskill And Chill

We had such a beautiful time! John is an amazing host, he's down to earth and very helpful. He already mentioned this in the description, but the RV is tight! Me and my girlfriend both are 5'3" so we are good and found the space cozy. Cooking was good too, we got some groceries delivered from a nearby market that does free delivery. The RV has its own spot in the shared campsite and it feels private. The hammock outside is wonderful and we took a few naps there too. We forgot our cards but John has a deck in the RV which worked perfectly for us. We did fires every night and did some food in the grill. There are different species of birds in the campsite and at night the stars are gorgeous. We saw a few bunnies and a pair of deers around as well. We were there without a car so it was a bit harder to move around but taxi services work there! It just takes a bit of time. There are a lot of things to enjoy in Hudson, Catskill and Leeds! We did also a few hikes around the area and explored some thrift/antiques stores that were lovely. Oh and the wifi works good! We would love to come back! Thanks for everything John, we had a great time!

I was so blown away and impressed by John’s RV. On the outside, it appeared tiny, but inside was actually much bigger than expected, and every detail of the RV was thoughtfully accounted for. Everything was so clean and tidy, and the RV was well stocked with functional appliances. I would love to stay there again!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night on our camping trip celebrating our one year and it was amazing! Very private , and it has everything you could imagine. Campfire , card games , cooking equipment , even lint rollers lol. Located a good distance from everything like breweries, good eats and hiking and fishing spots. Would definitely recommend !

I loved this spot clean and very cute for a little get away with the hubs we enjoyed the downtown during the day as well, it did rain a bit so I wish they had the tent cover on the pop up tent that was over the table vs just the metal part of it so we could of enjoyed still being outside but still enjoyed 😊

We had an absolutely lovely stay at this Catskills camper! The space was perfect for our little weekend away and we absolutely loved the hammock. It’s perfectly located between multiple towns so you have a lot to explore! John was an excellent host who answered our questions right away and even came down ASAP to help when we realized the trailer was out of propane. I would totally recommend this place for couples looking for a romantic glamping getaway close to the city.
