For generations, the majestic waterfall has been revered for its spectacular beauty. It’s considered a sacred site central to local land rematriation work with the Kanienkeha:ka. Coursing between two outcroppings in a deep ravine, the waterfall crashes down over mossy rock shelves into emerald swimming holes and through dramatic clay beds. It’s one of those extraordinary spots on earth that make you feel like you’re in another world. The sites aren’t suitable for parties or loud groups. It's about a 10 minute hike to the waterfall where you can spend the day swimming, exploring the clay beds and looking for fossils in the 280 million year old gorge. In the evening, make a campfire and fall asleep under the stars listening to the river below. The hike is steep and appropriate footwear is required. All hiking is at your own risk. Although your path to the waterfall is private and the waterfall is on private property, there may be other guests or locals that access the waterfall further down the road. There is no glass or alcohol allowed at the falls. Be aware that you may hear your camping neighbors in the woods. For this reason, we ask that you don’t play amplified music and keep noise down after 10pm to enjoy the sounds of frogs, crickets, owls, and night songs of the countryside At the entrance to the campsites there is a barn community room with a charging station, cold water sink, fridge, coffee maker, cookware, and a port-a-potty. There are 5 gallon solar shower bags that you can use at your campsite. You are responsible for filling them and putting them in the sun to heat the water. This is a leave no trace site. Take all your trash with you when you leave. Bring your own biodegradable soap for dishes and toilet paper for the port-a-potty! Firewood is available onsite for $1 per log. The Schoharie Valley is said to be the most fertile valley east of the Mississippi. It is still wild, unspoiled country and there are many local farms stands with fresh produce and organic meat close by. Within a 5 miles radius is a general store, Scrumpy Ewe Cidery, Panther Creek Arts, Rooted Movement, the Sap Bush Country Store and Café, and Mustang Valley (a wild mustang sanctuary). Nearby hikes include Looking Glass Pond and Vroman's Nose, and others.

We have also added two new speakers in the upstairs loft, improved the Hickory Ridge Sauna, and many more improvements that you'll just have to see! This is the one. This is the experience that you'll remember for years to come. Welcome to The Record Room - Built directly from our hands and our hearts, The Record Room borders the fine line of camping and glamping, with a wood-fired cedar hot tub and outdoor shower that feeds off a small artesian creek, a sauna tucked within the trees, overlooking scenic ridge, and solar-powered vinyl that plays inside and out across a vast selection of vintage, classic, and current albums. Back to our small creek, there are plenty of quaint spots to dip your toes. The Monguap River is close enough to see and hear, and the Delaware River is just 2 miles up the road, with rafting, kayaking, and canoeing companies all along it. A queen Tempur-Pedic bed, as well as an overstuffed futon, will take care of you come nightfall. The outdoor kitchen is built for cooking some real food - a flat-top grill, a single burner, a stainless steel grate grill, cast-iron pans, and all utensils, all powered by propane. A wood stove inside will handle the chilly mornings and brisk nights. We have a pool table under a custom-built pavilion just for your enjoyment. And last but certainly not least, our outhouse, which is maintained by the women of our family. We also have a nearby waterfall, which is as close as a three-minute drive down the road. The Hawks Nest lookout is under 10 minutes away. We recommend downloading a trail finder app, as once you arrive here, there will be zero service or wifi. Since we only have one bed and one futon, only four individuals can sleep comfortably, but we also have a couple of spots for your friend circle to set up some tents. Our mission is to get people back into the life we feel so disconnected from nowadays, and we provide the space to be able to do so. We highly recommend the firewood package, as it makes life much easier, unless you plan on picking through the woods on your property (which we totally support!)

Shaggy and Kendra have truly curated something special and wonderful. The cabin is pristine and cozy, and the bathroom and shower amenities make the experience glamorous. Our favorite part is sitting by the solo stove and listening to the records Shaggy provides! This is our second stay at Hippie Haven and we can’t wait to come back again. We utilized the sauna and the hot tub, as well as the fire wood bonus package. Everything is so user friendly and makes for a worry-free and relaxing stay. The land is quiet and utterly peaceful, and the only critters we encountered were frogs at the pond and a few grazing deer in the morning. Nothing but good things to say! 5/5 stars! P.S. My family and I had a great time at Coyote Hollow. It was so pretty and so much attention to detail. It was such a comfortable experience. My friend’s family rented out site 2 and no one was at site three so we had the whole place to ourselves. The fact that you could really be comfortable there for the whole weekend easily without too much prep because of the breakfast and camp store was impressive. The camp store was also so affordable. It really feels like you’re cared for. The out house is a very fancy out house- there’s running water. There’s potable water to wash dishes and fill up water bottles also at the wash house/toilet/shower. The tents are very comfortable and nice. It’s just like in the photos. You can see the stars. The chickens are also fancy and friendly.

The best place I’ve been to on AirBnB & Hipcamp hands down. Spent our honeymoon at this property and it could not have been better. The outdoor kitchen, the wood fired hot tub and sauna.. absolutely amazing and makes you feel so involved with the site and nature!! Definitely highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to disconnect from the world and connect with your spouse or self on a whole new level. The quiet is so peaceful.

Me and my 4 Girlfriends stayed two nights here! We had a wonderful camping experience! The land the cabin on is stunning and littered with the most beautiful jewel weeds, which attracts many pollinators like bees and hummingbirds. His record collection is AWESOME! All the classics plus some modern vibes! My personal favorite was the weezer album! If you stay, check out Shohola falls as it is a quick and beautiful hike. I wandered around the cabin and found the prettiest mushrooms I have ever found! Such a lovely place and I would stay again! 🗺️💚👯‍♀️⛰️

Weekend Trip to Hippie Havens: A Groovy Retreat & Spa

From the time we arrived at Hippie Havens, Shaggy & Kendra made us feel welcome, made sure we had anything & everything that we needed to make our trip great! Friday evening we spent some time chatting with Shaggy & had a blast, on Saturday we went to the Farmer’s Market and Kendra made me the most delicious iced coffee 😋 that I’m still dreaming of! The cabin was clean, all bluetoothed to control everything inside it & we loved how it was decorated! I got to play guitar a bit too! It was a stellar weekend! Thanks again for your hospitality!

The site was great! Right next to the river and very private. There was firewood provided and Lucie was very quick to answer my questions. Also, it’s pretty close to grocery stores and convenience stores.

2 nights at Glamping Tent Overlooking Waterfall

I had a fantastic relaxing birthday. Sam was very helpful and quick to respond to help me with a few things. The place is wonderful. I highly recommend lounging on the river. The water leaves your skin feeling fantastic. The soaking tub at night is relaxing especially with the rain and the sound of the waterfall. Oh and there's a big fluffy orange cat(I forget his name) he's a great camp counselor. 😹 I highly recommend this place. Please remember you're still in nature so be kind to the spiders, lil frogs and other lil creatures that venture in the camp after all it's there permanent home and you're a guest. Many thanks again to Sam for making my birthday special with a birthday welcome sign.
