With cobblestone mill ruins, a 200 year old cemetery at the property entrance and a large dam at the top of some of New York's most beautiful waterfalls, this is the former site of one of the Georgia Pacific's many logging mills dating back to the early 1800's and a part of Adirondack history. Surrounded by bedrock, huge boulders, massive pine trees and miles and miles of trails, the Fowlerville Falls offer days of exploration and/or relaxation. There is a large swimming hole at the top of the falls, just off of the South-facing bedrock bank, where you can swim or lay in the sun. The falls, themselves, are almost 500 ft. across (at the widest point) and approximately 150 ft. in length (from top to bottom), ascending at approximately a 40-45 degree angle, making them navigable by foot. In the drier months (and, of course, depending on rain fall), most of the falls are dry, with only 50 - 100 ft. of water flow, making them navigable by foot. There are many little pools and flowing water across the bedrock to explore, along with the rest of the river, the surrounding woods and adjacent miles and miles of atv/hiking trails. If you are kayaker, there river above the falls is calm and fairly shallow, ranging from .5 - several feet in depth. And if you are white water enthusiast, Fowlerville Falls (and the Moose River) is a nationally rated and renowned spot, boasting a class III-IV under normal release conditions, and a dangerous, cold class V under spring runoff conditions. 6 nights at Kickin' Up Dust Farm

Holly has a great setup boardering state park land with trails that connect. The area has a lot to offer with some great hikes. They have potable water available close to the camp site and a porta potty at the site. If you like animals, they have all sorts of farm friends for you to watch and visit with. It was a wonderful place to stay.

Great stay on a really cool piece of property. My boyfriend and I stayed a short night and we wished we stayed longer - next time! Ben is awesome and showed us around his place, such a cool spot, and close to so many beautiful nature spots as well. We're putting it on our bucket list to come back again and stay longer! Great people with a tranquil piece of land. Privacy if you want, group setting if you prefer. Outhouse with flush toilet was extremely clean. Clean running water. Shower in the works. Thanks Brian for sharing your land! I’m sure I’ll be back.

Weekend Trip to Adirondack Adventure Base

Woodland Grove Camping at Adirondack Adventure Base is such a gem. The property is calm, pristine, and full of charm with cute little trails to wander right on-site. It feels like a perfect mix of peaceful and fun. Bob and Sheila are the kindest, most thoughtful hosts, and it was such a treat getting to spend time with them. Mim is just the coolest human being ever and made the stay even more special. We also got to try their maple syrup, which truly was the best we’ve ever had. The spot is also in an ideal location, just a short drive to Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, and some of the most beautiful hiking and sightseeing in the Adirondacks. We left already talking about when we’ll come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable Adirondack stay.

Beautiful private campsite with amazing views. We booked site #1 and didn't see anyone around. Went to Stewart's for firewood but the host also left some wood for us. Good for stargazing. Great mid point between Saratoga Springs NY and Manchester VT too. Would recommend!

Paige and I had a wonderful time at Scott’s site! The views were incredible, beautiful sunrises and sunsets were had. The site itself had a lot of great amenities and was well maintained. Scott was a phenomenal host who quickly answered any of the questions we had and gave us plenty of privacy. Plenty of great trails to hike around just a short drive away. Would highly recommend having a larger vehicle like an SUV to get to the site and navigate the terrain. I drive a Toyota rav4 and got around just fine. Would definitely recommend this site, we had a phenomenal time.

4 nights at Black Hole and Dunkley Falls

Our family of six had the most amazing time camping at the Black Hole and Dunkley Falls campsite. The tents and accommodations were spotless, comfortable, and far exceeded our expectations. The Fords went above and beyond to make our stay special—bringing us warm water for showers and even surprising me with cupcakes for my birthday. They truly think of everything, making it a completely carefree glamping experience. We loved exploring Dunkley Falls and jumping into the Black Hole, both just a short walk from camp. We also spent a day whitewater rafting and tackling the Adirondack Extreme Adventure Park—there’s so much to do in the area! We can’t wait to come
