We are located in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks between Lake Champlain and Lake Placid. The area is legendary for a multitude of hiking trails, mountain biking, and lakes/rivers for paddling. There are amazing natural environments such as Ausable Chasm and it's also an area rich in American historical sites. We are centrally located making area events and popular destinations an easy drive. We are also close to Rt 87 for ease of access yet far enough away to enjoy plenty of quiet and space in nature. The 2 RV site areas are very large with ample space for large RV turnaround and parking for vehicle.
We are 300 feet off a road and are surrounded by small hamlets and villages within the park. There is so much to do in this vacation wonderland. Enjoy local breweries and vineyards during your visit. In addition, most every drive is a scenic drive and traffic is almost nonexistent except in some areas during high tourism. You will love it here! We do!
The Adirondack Park (ADK) consists of old growth forests that cover more than 100,000 acres of public land in the Park and we live in the park. The Adirondacks also includes the headwaters of five major drainage basins. Lake Champlain and the Hudson, Black, St. Lawrence and Mohawk Rivers all draw water from the Adirondack Park. Adirondack forests and wetlands filter and provide clean water for many communities in NY.

This property is part of an original hundred acre woods
in the Adirondack Park overlooking Lincoln Pond. My grandfather moved an old ice house under the property in 1943 and built the existing camp in 1949. Her family lives in Florida and has continued to maintain and improve the old camp for the last 40 years. After having done selective logging two years ago we discovered a spot in the back of the property overlooking the pond and with the removal of a couple of trees have a beautiful view of Lincoln Pond. Bridgeview Harbour Marina is a family owned and operated full service marina, event space, and camping area on the Adirondack shore of Lake Champlain.
Established in 2020 the Marina provides seasonal and overnight slips and moorings to boaters, fisherman, and lake-goers, three camp sites, and an on-site cafe.
Marina services are available May thru October each year, with other events and services available throughout the year.
The marina is set on 33 acres along Lake Champlain and hosts ~4150 feet of lake-frontage, it is accessible via car, boat, or via the adjacent Amtrak rail line.
Prior to becoming a marina in 1989, the property was home to a very large Iron Foundry, rail yard, and barge-loading operation known as Cedar Point. Cedar point, part of the larger Witherbee-Sherman Mining Company, operated in the late 19th and early 20th centuries smelting iron ore to be shipped throughout the world via the Lake Champlain Canal and Hudson River, and is credited with providing iron to some of America's leading projects at the time. Some remains of the sites industrious past can be observed throughout the property.
From Father's Day to Labor Day, the Marina hosts the Port Henry Waterfront Farmers' Market every Friday between 5PM and 8PM. The Market features farms, makers, artists, food trucks and Live Music every week

Ubuntu was the PERFECT place to observe the Northern Lights on Friday and Saturday (May 10-11).
Campers at Ubuntu found the perfect spot to observe the April 8th TOTAL solar eclipse. There are no lights, no neighbors in sight, and they had the freedom to choose their campsite or observation point, whether it was on the flat, nestled in the trees, or on top of Carney Mountain. RV’s also easily found a spot to camp. New friends were made as everyone observed the eclipse. It was totally awe inspiring in so many ways!!
The open areas and the top of Carney Mountain, which is a short hike with panoramic views of the area, were perfect spots to experience the solar eclipse, Northern Lights, sunrises and sunsets. The 115 acres of Ubuntu offer many opportunities for camping, hiking and enjoying the abundant wildlife. There is a wet area that sometimes becomes several ponds if the beavers have been at work. There is a path leading to the ponds and also one that runs through the woods to the right of the ponds.
The location is private and quiet but still very accessible (only 10 minutes from Exit 34 off the Northway) to all the Adirondacks has to offer, such as biking, jogging, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and hiking. Ubuntu is located only 45 minutes from Lake Placid and the high peaks areas, Saranac Lake is about one hour away, Lake Champlain is 20 minutes away, and Montreal is one hour away. The ferry to Vermont if you wish to cross over the pond (Lake Champlain) is about 45 minutes away. And Exit 34 off the Northway is only 10 minutes from Ubuntu.
And if you love equestrian sports, the Willow Hill Equestrian Center is less than 1.5 miles away. Bring your horse and stable your buddy at the Willow Hill Farm, or sign up for a lesson with one of their accomplished instructors.
Your furry pets are welcome, but we ask that you keep them on a leash if they tend to chase game or do not have a reliable recall. Please use good judgment. There are many deer on the property, so yes we do have ticks. Please take the necessary precautions.
Generators are allowed but in keeping with the peace and tranquility of Ubuntu, please run them only between the hours of 12:00 - 2 PM, especially if other campers are present.. If there are no other campers then use at your own discretion.

We are pet friendly about a 15-20 minute walk from your car and all that is left is you and nature. You can look for firewood on our land and we have it available where we Meet and Greet. Arnold's grocery, is a small mom and pop store with 375 different kinds of beer, wood, and local art. Maple fields grocery store and Stewart's stores also has gas, grocery, wood, and both have restrooms.
Meet and Greet area is where all campers can leave off their garbage and recyclables. Please don,t leave any garbage at site, thank you!

Recently we have added the winter season for the adventurous Clamping crowd. The cottage is very private, with alpacas nearby. What a great spot! We came to paddle board and their quick entrance to Otter Creek was awesome! We woke up to the sounds of so many birds and a visit from their 2 horses. They love carrots. Hosts were available if needed and provided a clean pit toilet and plenty of burnable wood. Very private and beautiful views.

We had a fantastic stay at Lori and Ray’s Adirondack Magic site! Lori and Ray are incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts who made us feel right at home. Lori was quick to respond to every question and provided clear, accurate directions that made finding the campsite easy.
When we arrived, both Lori and Ray greeted us personally and even helped guide our camper into the perfect spot, which was greatly appreciated.
The location is excellent—close to Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, and Lake Champlain, making it a convenient home base for exploring the Adirondacks. If you’re looking for a peaceful campsite with outstanding hosts and easy access to the area’s top attractions, we highly recommend .

The Pump House is a perfect camping site. Perched above a cove, the site offers a peaceful spot to gaze out over the lake. We enjoyed watching the Osprey that dove into the water many times each day. There were turtles to watch too. The view of sailboats docked just off the site has the picturesque quality you'd see on a puzzle box. The site is definitely removed and quiet from any action at the marina. The main part of the marina is not visible from the site. We were not there on a Friday, but it sure appears that the site is prime seating for the summer Friday night concerts. The marina has an immaculately clean and charmingly decorated bath house with plenty of hot water. We hope to have the opportunity to visit here again!
A few things to note: The site is high above the water, maybe about 15 feet. From the site there is a straight drop off to the water that appears to be the old Pump House wall. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend the site for children. Also, because it is a former industrial site, there are some metal and concrete remnants surrounding the area, so it is important to not walk around barefoot. Finally, there is a fair amount of Poison Ivy around the site's perimeter. It's less Poison Ivy than in my yard at home, but you do need to keep an eye out for it.

This is my third time visiting Ubuntu, and won’t be my last. The tent sites are spaced out well and very well kept. Our first day was heavy with rain, but our location was easy to set up and dried quickly. You are so close to some amazing things, we visited Plattsburgh during a rainy day and had a great lunch and walking around downtown. The Ausable River is one of the most beautiful sites I’ve laid my eyes on, if you go to town of Jay they have a covered bridge and easy access to the river below, locals and tourist both go down to swim, relax, and if your like me look at all the blue shiny labradorite the sun can reflect on the river bed.
Moussa was a great host, responsive and extremely friendly, thank you Moussa for opening up this space for people to enjoy.
Lastly, seeing the night sky from here is beyond words, we came at the full strawberry moon and it was breathtaking!

Weekend Trip to Heart and Heritage Stables
We throughly enjoyed camping on Heidi’s property. We loved meeting the horses (Ritz, Ronnie, Eclipse) just to name a few as well as the barn cat named Finn. The owls put on a show which is a treat. We did find a few ticks on us (to be expected - nothing surprising) so do bring bug spray or treat clothes in advance. The horses are nearby but they weren’t overly loud or smelly. There’s a port-o potty and spigot up near the stables if needed as well as a glass table with two chairs at the site. Would gladly camp again in the future.

What an amazing private spot, right up against the rolling creek!! It was an absolute delight sleeping there. Keith had the space all cleared, a beautiful fire pit w/ a grill tripod w/ a grate to cook on, some chairs& a tarp over the picnic table. Much appreciated!
It was our dog Daisys' first camping trip & she loved it! No one else showed up at the 2 other sites so we had it all to ourselves & we're so grateful for that since our dog tends to bark at random noises & we wanted to get her acclimated to the area w/o bothering others.
The swim hole right up the road before the campsite was absolute perfection, we had the best weather to just sit there on the rocks & hang out with Daisy.
Thank you so much Keith for the perfect peaceful trip with our dog, you have beautiful property & a great set up & we will def be back now that we know Daisy loves camping!! Cya soon!
