● Alumni Weekend will be based in Camp Mountaineer.
● Guests are welcome to arrive for the weekend on Friday anytime after 2:00 pm.
● All 3 meals will be provided Saturday - a cold continental breakfast (cereal, milk,
fruit, danish), a bagged lunch (sandwich, chips, fruit, dessert), and a cookout
dinner (hot dogs, hamburgers, assorted salads, desserts).

● A variety of activities will be offered/available though the vibe of the weekend is

Sweeping pastoral hillsides mixed with densely wooded private acres make our camps unique, each one offering a different experience. A developed network of our own marked trails for exploring, our private red slate swimming quarry with docks and seating, and catch release fishing at 2 ponds are a few things to enjoy here. Slate Valley Trails and Merck Forest are close by. Places to picnic, enjoy the sunset, and idle are a plenty. Our farm stand is stocked with seasonal produce, jams, eggs, and bagged ice. Spring water is available. Excellent locally burgers, steaks, chicken and more are available.

The bespoke wooden Tower boasts 360 degree views of the surroundings. It is built on piers and has windows on the perimeter. A large table, outdoor chairs on the 2nd Level platform is an ideal space for gathering or picnicking. The 3rd enclosed level is furnished with a built in brand new queen bed and long custom built-in couch with a bar table and 4 chairs. Small fridge and Fan on site. No Bathroom in Tower.
The Cabin is fully equipped, applianced, and is furnished with a Full Bed in the Loft, 2 Twins in a Trundle Daybed, and a Cot and Blow Up are available. Full Kitchen, Shower, Toilet in the Bathroom. There is electric heat, AC and a ceiling fan. Kitchen is fully loaded and there are plenty of clean linens, blankets, and pillows.
The 40 Acres are Pastured and Open but Wooded all around in every direction. There are no cut trails at the Retreat and as it is thickly wooded, we encourage our guests to come visit us at Slateville Farm where we have over 8 miles of our own trails, swimming holes, and our ever flowing cold spring. Enjoy any of the many national park trails within the Green Mountains or Adirondacks. Lake George, Merck Forest, Schroon Lake, Lake St. Catherine, Bomoseen are all nearby as well as the Battenkill River and the Mettowee for fishing. If you are a winter visitor, plenty of ski resorts are a little over an hour away like Stratton, Bromely, Okemo, or Killington to name a few.
Come by and visit us down the road at Slateville Farm to enjoy our fresh produce/eggs, over 8 miles of private hiking trails, and numerous swimming holes. Firewood is included and stocked at the Pit outside the Cabin.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would happily return. The campground offers great value, especially with the cash discount, making it one of the more affordable options we've found.
The staff and campers were incredibly friendly and welcoming. A standout feature is the 24-hour clubhouse, which became a great place to relax, charge devices, play pool or foosball, and get out of the rain. During our stay they even hosted a Father's Day breakfast, which added to the sense of community.
The tent sites are spacious, wooded, and private, with plenty of room between campers. The main washrooms and showers are a bit of a walk from the tent area, but there is a clean, well-maintained portable toilet nearby.
The roads into the campground are a little rough, but we had no issues in an SUV. The peaceful setting and mature trees more than make up for it.
The location is also excellent—close to Greenwich, Cambridge, and Shushan, as well as grocery stores, laundry facilities, hiking trails, and other local attractions.
Overall, this is a friendly, affordable campground with spacious sites, excellent amenities, and a great location for exploring the area. Highly recommended.

We loveddddd camping here! We previously camped at the Oak Tree site (which we also LOVE), and decided to try the Quarry site. What a treat! From Heather’s incredibly kind, accommodating hosting and fantastic communication, to the stocked wood shed, farm stand, camper borrowing system (we forgot skewers), creative outhouse (obsessed), quarry swimming and the most beautiful sites and sounds - we can’t wait to come back! 1,000% recommend! The 2 sites we booked so far had completely different vibes, but each are a 15/10 in our books! Can’t go wrong 🏕️

We are so glad we stayed at this hipcamp; the HOPS site was great! Heather was a fantastic host! We arrived later in the day with limited sunlight remaining; she guided us right to the site so we could start getting our camper set up before dark.
The pride of ownership and genuine want to provide the best experience is abundantly obvious while experiencing the property. We are so thankful for having the chance to stay. My kids enjoyed fishing in the cow pond, the quarry is a very cool space, and there was so much more of the property we ran out of time to check out.

The lean-to was the perfect fit for our family. As experience car campers who no longer own any of our own gear, Bob and Sheila have outfitted the lean-to with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The location is also excellent as a staging ground for a wide variety of adventures in Adirondack Park.

my group was arriving late, around 1am and just needed somewhere to crash near the park . Cara was very easy to reach and allowed the late check in. As morning came we really got to see how beautiful the land was, I wish we spent a couple night instead of one . Super peaceful, quiet and private . Highly recommend

Rustic barn was a great place to crash after an event at the SPAC. Warm easy greeting, and the gentleman escorted us to our site. Super clean grounds and facilities. We tent camped and the spot was clean and clear of rocks and branches. The little cabins they have available are super cute with landscaping surrounding them to make them real cozy, and the area reserved for seasonal campers is also very clean and pretty. Wide open skies at night, beautiful landscape. As we were departing they were setting up for a wedding on their beach, looks like it’s going to be a lovely day for the couple

Ridgeline was an amazing site. We were there midweek and nobody was at the surrounding sites but it seems like there would have been plenty of privacy even if the neighboring sites were booked.
The sunset alone at ridgeline would make us happy to come back. Grateful for the shade structure at the site as we had both sunny/hot days and some rainstorms. Also, the water pressure was great at the outdoor shower (shared and located at the main house).
All in all, wonderful stay and we will be back!

What an amazing private spot, right up against the rolling creek!! It was an absolute delight sleeping there. Keith had the space all cleared, a beautiful fire pit w/ a grill tripod w/ a grate to cook on, some chairs& a tarp over the picnic table. Much appreciated!
It was our dog Daisys' first camping trip & she loved it! No one else showed up at the 2 other sites so we had it all to ourselves & we're so grateful for that since our dog tends to bark at random noises & we wanted to get her acclimated to the area w/o bothering others.
The swim hole right up the road before the campsite was absolute perfection, we had the best weather to just sit there on the rocks & hang out with Daisy.
Thank you so much Keith for the perfect peaceful trip with our dog, you have beautiful property & a great set up & we will def be back now that we know Daisy loves camping!! Cya soon!

What an awesome location! Heather was a great host and had everything ready to go when I arrived. Everything was well prepared, easy to find, and made for a relaxing stay.
The campsite itself is beautiful, with peaceful surroundings, plenty of trails and walking paths to explore, and a stunning view of the night sky. The outhouse and shower were also fantastic—clean, well-maintained, and easy to access.
What I liked most was how peaceful the whole property felt. It's the kind of place where you can slow down, enjoy the surroundings, and forget about your schedule for a while. The whole property felt peaceful and welcoming, with plenty of space to wander and enjoy the scenery.
This was easily one of my favorite places I've stayed. I'd happily come back and would recommend it to anyone passing through the area looking for a quiet, beautiful place to camp.

Gorgeous gorgeous views from the moment you drive onto the farm and all throughout. Heather was super accommodating and helpful through our stay. Eggs and last minute essentials were available.
We stayed during a time with mixed weather - sunny and rainy. The Ridgeline is open and lined with trees. Thankful for the pergola at the site as it can get hot. There was a night with strong winds and recommend setting up larger tents by the trees on the angle because our 12 person tent could not hold up on the flat of the ridge.
Our group really enjoyed our stay. The toddlers and dogs had the time of their lives!

His directions of what to do when you first enter the premises ,he greets you and goes over details. Wonderful place to stay.
