Situated a little over 4 miles off of Missouri Hwy 185 in the forest are 4 back-in Rv sites all with 50/30/20 Amp electric configured in a circle around a community camp fire. Bring your own water and an empty lavatory tank. Twin Eagle Lake Campground is located 14 miles away on Hwy 185 and provides a water faucet and dump station for longer stays at an additional expense.
The property has a 4 foot chicken wire fence around it with barb wire on the top and a double gate at the entrance.
All 4 sites can be rented together for group camping or special events if available.
The gravel road can be rough and should keep your significant other away. Drive slowly in a 4x4 or Rear wheel drive vehicle and you should have no problems. The road leading to this property is not meant for front wheel drive vehicles.
The gate has a combo lock on it. You will get the combo after booking your site. This piece of land just finished construction so it may be Summer of 2025 before I can get the grass to grow.
The gate can be left open while a campsite is occupied if all campers agree, but please close the gate and lock it if all sites are empty when you check out.
This is the wilderness, there are bugs, mosquitos, ticks, flys, bees, and things that bite and sting. Please prepare accordingly. By staying on my property, you are waiving any liability for me or any owner of the land.

Located at the confluence of the Meramec River and Labarque Creek, my place (Matt's Place) is a ridge above a bottomland bowl of sorts.
The old iron truss bridge here is likely built in 1910 and it has a survey marker from 1932.
The creek has a nice little swimming hole, and a beach that is sometimes sand, sometimes, gravel, and sometimes a mix of both with some silt or even mud after a storm. It's peaceful down there to explore in the creek, wade while looking outward to an opening into the Meramec River. It's also fun to stand just at the mouth of the creek in the Meramec River. It's an awesome view upstream or downstream of tree lined banks, rock bluffs, and every now and then, passing boats, canoes, paddle boards, or kayaks. The old iron truss bridge hovers above the meeting of two waters. The water is cool and clean. Some fifty species of fish have been recorded in this creek, the most in all of Jefferson County and St Louis County. The bottomland has two levels, the lower bottoms down by the creek and the upper bottoms about a hundred feet from the creek. The upper bottoms has a clearing like a meadow with mowed grass.
My favorite things to do here include gazing up at a cottonwood tree that must be sixty feet tall. It's leaves in a breeze are like a thousand hands waving hello. The bottomland meadow offers just enough sky to see bats dance in the dusk air between the trees, then fireflies as it gets darker yet. Up top is where I live.
Just five miles off HWY 44 and HWY 109, at Eureka, MO, (30 minutes west of downtown St Louis, 18 minutes from Six Flags) this place sits on a ridge with great views above the Meramec River.

Spring Lake Ranch is a great low key spot for camping! We love the lake with docks and a small sand area. We enjoy swimming and fishing. The creek at the entry of the campground is a fun place to stop and let the kiddos play.
The camper section is right next to the horses - we love to walk over and see them!
There is also a great winery right up the road that is kid friendly. We packed up the kids and snacks and enjoyed an afternoon there!
The spots could use some maintenance. The weeds were tall. Our campsite didnt have a picnic table, which was a bummer, but we were with friends so we just sat at their site most of the time.
Overall, we love this campground and will continue to return!

Great place for a relaxing weekend. Hosts were very accommodating, and helpful. It's always easy to see, when owners take pride in what they are doing, and it showed here. The shower house was prestine and the coffee was a huge bonus, especially when packing up to leave on the final morning. The trails were great, and campsites were clean, and well marked. The only surprise here was that not every spot was booked at such a nice place! I will return, and plan to make this a frequent spot.

It was a great experience camping at a farm. First time doing that for me. It was a great experience. They have a nice community kitchen where I could chat with other campers. That kitchen had some decaf coffee. I didn't bring any and I thought that was a nice touch. There's a nice pond and a bench for sitting and drinking coffee in the morning, too.

This was my first time camping on a farm. It was awesome! I wish I could've stayed one more day. I was there for three. There are a great variety of campsites, clean and well-maintained. Everything went well!! It was our second visit and our first time of the season this year. We had problems getting our electric working right and they helped us figure that out. Then, they noticed our water was leaking a lot where we had it hooked up so they helped us fix that which made our water inside the camper flow better than it ever has. We also went horseback riding. It was a super fun time. Our horses were great and our guide, Jonathan, the owner, was awesome! Had a great time talking with him. Everyone tha we talked to was super nice! We will definitely be back!

The site itself was really nice. At first we were a bit disappointed that the water hookup wasn’t working, but then we realized that it was the off season and the facilities were still in winter mode. Overall, a good place to stay and we would go there again.

camp with a beautiful lake view, welcome to nature and ranch life with horse nays and goats, farm animals. Everything was great except for us the gravel rv park was rocky. Hard to walk on and Get the camper level. Grandkids couldn’t walk well on it but other than that a very nice campground.

Amazing spot, super private and great hosts. It is off the beaten path a bit. There is a bit of off-roading as the paved road ends about 2 miles before you get to your destination. The rv pads are a bit narrow if you have a slide and want to stay on the gravel. However it’s worth it!

We had a lovely 3 night stay on Ryan and Tanya’s beautiful property. The site was large, level and easy to maneuver around with a west facing view. Every sunset was stunning. It was very private with 30amp and sewer. We filled our fresh water tank when we arrived. There are hoses long enough to reach the site if you need to refill. The hosts were easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any questions. St Louis is an easy 30 minute drive if you want to explore. There are also a couple small towns that are closer with provisions, restaurants, coffee shops, etc.
Ryan and Tanya were wonderful, kind hosts.
We will definitely stay again next time we’re in the area.

Ryan was an excellent host! He was flexible with our arrival, kind and helpful during the entire stay. It is unusual to find electric and sewer hookups. It was quiet and peaceful, just what we were needing.
