Very pleasant stay, water and power hookup’s worked perfectly for our 2 night stay.
About 20 minutes to the St. Louis arch and downtown museums.
Meghan does mention a steep incline down the driveway does get a little gnarly, especially with all the big trees to maneuver around, stay on your right side of the road when it splits avoid hitting the big tree when starting to turn left down a sharp curve.

Beautiful, quiet spot up in the wooded hills of Dupo, IL, close to St Louis, MO and Columbia, IL. Very nice, friendly, accomodating hosts provided electricity and water and greeted us as we arrived.

A good place to stay that is very quiet and private. It is filled with all those sounds of nature that lull you to sleep at nite. The host was accommodating and had the hose for water and the 30 amp service already to go when we arrived.
The site, however, is a bit difficult to get to. It is down a narrow lane that has seen better pavement days. Once on the property, the driver has to maneuver around a few tight curves and trees to get to the location and then back into the area. We have a fairly small 21 ft teardrop so it was not too difficult for us. It might be a bit more challenging for someone with a larger RV or fifth wheel. Take the instructions on the website literally and you shouldn't have any problems. I suggest that you text the host before planning on staying here if you have any doubt.
If you chose this spot, go ALL the way down the gravel road. The site is at the very bottom of the property and the hill is rather steep. A lower gear wouldn't hurt. (At least that is what I did.)
I was not to sure about where the deck was overlooking the creek. We did not want to look for it since the small house/workshop is occupied and did not want to be thought of as intruders. Possible the owner can show where that was upon arrival. We did have a relaxing evening meal in the small town of Columbia which is nearby. All in all, a nice travel stop on our last night on the road.

What a wonderful evening at Meghan’s place..spot was was very private and peaceful.. she made sure that I had everything I needed and I can’t recommend her highly enough..I’ll definitely be reaching out next time though the area 👍🏻😎

Great directions and a perfect spot for a quick overnight on our drive from TN to CO. Bonus is its proximity to the Gateway Arch! We were able to mark another page in our US National Parks passport.

Site is a good base camp for seeing Cahokia, St Louis or other sites in the area. Electric hookup was good 30 AMP.

We really enjoyed our stay at this site located at the bottom of a long hill - it’s private, secluded, and backs up to a small woods. Meghan was very responsive and attentive during a severe weather event that occurred while we were there. Would highly recommend!

Great site for an overnight close to STL for our visit to Gateway Arch National Park. Met the friendly occupants of the “workshop,” and got a visit from their adorable dog (a highlight for us, though something to consider if you are looking for complete privacy/hoping to avoid interactions with other pets). Trees provided great shade and bird watching. Recommend this site to those confident in their driving/towing skills due to the need to maneuver down the steep and uneven gravel road to the site. We were just fine in our 2WD RAM Promaster.

Meghan’s place was perfect for what we needed, which was a one night stay on our trek to Kentucky! It’s secluded and peaceful. The terrain is a bit steep and uneven, but we took it slow and it all worked out. There are people who live in the ‘garage’ building that’s next to the site, which we were unaware of but it didn’t bother us. They do have dogs off leash but have fence-less collars on to keep them by the house. Unfortunately, when I knocked on the door to make sure we had the right property, their dogs must have smelled our puppy in my car and jumped on the door, scratching it. For me, it’s not a big deal because my car isn’t new and it’s already got some paint damage. But for those who don’t want that happening, this is your heads up. Overall, it was a lovely stay and I’m sure if we are ever back in the area we will stay again!

Nice little private area to camp - tucked in the woods. As others have said, there is a steep driveway to get down to the camp spot. If pulling a camper, check in with the host for pointers. We had no issue, because we were car camping. Meghan was a great host and I we will stay again if we’re in the area. :)

Beautiful location. Met by the host shortly after arrival. Easy hook up. Enjoyed our stay very much. Plan to return on our return trip. I would recommend to anyone great place to stop.

Once you get past the steep hill getting to the site (not seen in the photos) then the hookup site was easy to access and turn around. The location was quiet and worked perfect for our needs. We plan to stay again, next time we visit family in STL.

Camp Hosts were awesome! Even noticed a sheet metal screw in my tire and plugged it for me.
The road to the site is a little steep, I’d recommend a 4WD tow vehicle, but the quiet and privacy was perfect!

Meghan’s land is the best of both worlds - close to St. Louis and all it has to offer (tourist activities, Cardinals baseball games, etc.), and also quiet and secluded. Despite it being tucked away, it was easy to find. Meghan was also ver accommodating to our super late arrival. Thank you!!!!

This is a great setup for someone who wants to be near St. Louis for some sightseeing but also wants to escape from the city to a secluded camping site. It is remotely tucked down by a creek in a quiet neighborhood near the highway but away from any road noise. It is very level but a tight fit to get into if you are a larger rig. It is pretty steep to get in and out of but we had no problems with our 22 foot Ford Transit van and enjoyed the seclusion and quietness.
There is available water and a 30 amp outlet easily accessible.
The hosts were very nice and accommodating and we enjoyed our stay. 5 stars.
