I was headed home from travel in the upper north east back to Texas when I had the opportunity to stay Ryan’s land for one night. I will definitely return if traveling through there again! Although technically close to his home, the site is located behind a silo/garden area and feels very private. Ryan provided firewood and ice water free of charge. I enjoyed my last campfire of an extended trip overlooking his farmland.
Free range chickens and cows just over the fence were fun neighbors for the night. In the morning, Ryan also gave me a half dozen eggs free of charge, which I used for breakfast the next couple mornings. Yum!
I was thankful there were ZERO biting insects. Tiny yellow flies were everywhere but did not bite. So all good 😂
Yep. Definitely will stay again if in the area and need a stopover spot.

Campsite is near a very quiet road in farmland and tucked in behind the concrete walls of an old foundation. Nice grassy area that is quite private. Met at the gate by host who offered farm fresh eggs and checked in later to see if I needed anything. Water is available at site in igloo cooler and host will refill as needed. Enjoyed the farm environment.

We were only in town for one night as we passed through but we loved it! It was awesome to see the chickens, cat (super friendly), cows and more! Ryan was quick to respond to any questions. The site was private and had electrical and sewer hookups. It's only about 30 mins from downtown but felt a world away!

We loved our stay at R & T Farms. Not only were the hosts very gracious and hands off but we met some animal friends as well. Would highly recommend this stay for anyone passing through St. Louis or just looking for a relaxing getaway on a quaint family farm!

We had a lovely 3 night stay on Ryan and Tanya’s beautiful property. The site was large, level and easy to maneuver around with a west facing view. Every sunset was stunning. It was very private with 30amp and sewer. We filled our fresh water tank when we arrived. There are hoses long enough to reach the site if you need to refill. The hosts were easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any questions. St Louis is an easy 30 minute drive if you want to explore. There are also a couple small towns that are closer with provisions, restaurants, coffee shops, etc.
Ryan and Tanya were wonderful, kind hosts.
We will definitely stay again next time we’re in the area.

We had a lovely chill autumn stay! We were just traveling through and booked relatively last minute, Ryan was incredibly nice and helpful when we got in. Hopefully we will be able to stay a little longer if we swing through the area again!

I loved my stay here! I stayed with my boyfriend, we will be bringing friends next time for sure, it's so beautiful there! We pet the cows, and a kitten came to say hi. Plenty of firewood and got yummy farm fresh eggs for home. Ryan was so much more than accommodating, honestly a great host. The stars, sunset and sounds are really an amazing experience.

This was my first time using Hipcamp. I'm on a bicycle touring trip, camping evenings in a tent. This is the only place to camp within a day's distance between where I was coming from and where I'd be the next night.
Ryan was right there to greet me when I arrived. He had a 5-gallon cooler filled with ice water waiting for me at the site. And what a beautiful site. The sunset views to the west were awesome!
Ryan offered me a chair to use, but I enjoyed sitting on a farm trailer that happened to be nearby.
It did rain all night, but the site is high enough that there are no flooding problems.
Communications with Ryan were easy - he was available for any needs.
I highly recommend this Hipcamp.

We stayed at The Grain Bin for three nights—one adult and four kids—and it was an unforgettable experience! The unique setup on Ryan’s beautiful farm made for the perfect family-friendly getaway.
The grain bin itself is cozy and full of charm. It offered just the right amount of shelter while still giving us that rustic camping feel. The kids had an absolute blast exploring the farm and especially loved spending time with the animals—pigs, cows, chickens, Guinea fowls, and their favorite of all… the CATS!
Ryan and his family were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, always making sure we had what we needed and making us feel welcome. The surrounding landscape is stunning, with corn and crop fields stretching out in every direction. Each evening, we were treated to gorgeous sunsets and the peaceful sounds of the farm—cows lowing in the distance, chickens clucking, and a general sense of calm that’s hard to find elsewhere.
This is a perfect spot for families, nature lovers, or anyone looking to slow down and soak in some quiet country beauty. We’ll definitely be back!

Our family enjoyed Ryan’s campsite - and our kids especially enjoyed their friendly cats and watching the cows and chickens!
The weather was sketchy the night we were there, and while it ended up cooperating, Ryan was very accommodating and responsive as we discussed options.
We appreciate Ryan’s hospitality and enjoyed his property and animals!

Ryan is a super considerate host. He was so accommodating of our late arrival. He met us in the dark, provided water for us, directed us to a good parking spot and was just an all around pleasant host. Nice to be hosted by a fellow Christ-follower too.

We had a very nice time here! Ryan was very friendly and accommodating. The spot is not far from their home but it feels very private as it is surrounded by open fields. Our kids loved all the animals. We were looking for somewhere quiet that was not too far from St. Louis, and this worked out great.

Ryan was so friendly and inviting! The property is gorgeous! They have a whole farm and we really enjoyed interacting with the animals. I’m so glad we booked with them. I just wish we had found this campsite sooner! We had such a wonderful experience 😊

Ryan was such an amazing and accommodating host. There’s plenty of cute towns nearby but still super secluded. The space has various accommodations (toilet, fire pit etc) and was a great value. The one thing I will preface is bring an allergy pill if needed, as he has an adorable/extremely friendly kitten on the property :)

We were only there for one night, but it had all the makings of a perfect stay. Very friendly folks, great communication, easy to find, right on our route. Also 30 amp power, a sewer hook up and access to a water fill. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The spot was pretty flat and it was super quiet at night! We expected some animals to wake us up with the morning sunrise, but it was really quiet in the morning too. Chickens, hens, and roosters visited us and if you’re a cat person, be prepared to be greeted by eight friendly kitties :) It was great to be so close to the city, yet have such a peaceful and quiet overnight stay. We would definitely stay again if we were coming through the area— and probably for a bit longer next time too.

I enjoyed my stay here! You are close(ish) to the city, but planted firmly in a beautiful farming environment. You do get a little traffic on the road that runs by it. Not a soul bothered me and I was able to have a peaceful rest the night before leaving to the city for my convention. I would definitely stay there again next time I roll through.

My husband and I have been traveling full-time for 3 1/2 years and we love staying at unique sites. This was one of our favorite stays! We stayed for a week and enjoyed watching all of the animals run around. It was constant entertainment. Even though there was a lot of activity, it was very quiet and peaceful. It was a hot week (up into the 90s), but we had no issues running the air conditioning. Our AT&T signal was good and Starlink worked great (no obstructions). We had no issues getting our 27 foot travel trailer into the spot or getting level.
Ryan and Tanya are wonderful hosts and people! They helped refill our fresh water tanks and brought us farm fresh eggs (unbelievably delicious!). They also gave great recommendations for things to do in the area and were very responsive to any questions.
This site is also a fabulous location! We stayed here to be close to the city and it was less than 30 minutes to downtown St. Louis. There are also several grocery stores and gas stations within 15-20 minutes, so you don’t need to stock up prior to visiting.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely stay again when we head back this way. Thank you Ryan and Tanya for sharing your beautiful property!

Ryan and his family are outstandingly hospitable and friendly. Their spot is quiet with lots of animals who greeted us during our stay. His spot is reasonably priced with electric and sewer hookups as well as fresh water available. It was nice to stay on his land and be close to the city.
