Another camper in grassy clearing within the forest, approximately 600 feet away from lake. Owner's home is out of sight and sound 1/4 mile away.  Pasture and forest property borders 2500 feet of private lake front.  Property also borders the Hiawatha National Forest.  Great pike fishing on shallow lake with access to 10' jon boats with oars and single seat kayaks.  Life vests available. Cabin is one open room with bunk beds that sleep 4 plus a full size futon. Cooking and dish water is provided by hanging 7 gallon jug over kitchen sinks. No indoor toilets, outhouse available at all three sites. Gas cooking stove and wood burning stove/oven for heat and cooking. Battery powered electric lights. Wood burning interior stove and sauna at cabin. Campers have no interior heat. Water, box of firewood, pots and pans, and utensils provided. Bring food, ice, and drinking water. Bring charcoal and lighter fluid if you want to use small grills outside. Lovely cottage on Autrain Lake near all of the sites to see in the area. Currently offered as B&B in our main cabin but homeowner will be in separate quarters. You will be in a private cabin. There are three bedroom areas upstairs with a full modern bath. One room Full bed, One room Queen bed, and the third is an open area with a privacy curtain and sitting area as well as a King bed. The living area has light seating area with a twin pull out loveseat, and two recliners. We have kayaks available for use. A small dock. There is some erosion on the bank we are currently working on but no beach, its in the process. Pets are allowed but please do not allow off leash or out of small fenced in area. All pet owners must clean up after your pets outside and if you leave for the day you are responsible for them. I recommend kennel trained as they act completely different and strange place. Ours are the same. Owner is around but can not watch pets as we work full time. I can check for a local teen to provide day care if requested. Breakfast foods will be supplied but there will no cooking provided. If you have special requests for breakfast foods please forward that information one week prior to arrival. We hope you have a great vacation!!!

Our home is less than a mile from the casino in Christmas, Foggy’s Steakhouse, and a gas station. You are only about 5 miles from downtown Munising, where there are Pictured Rocks Cruises, Glass Bottom Boat Tours, Sand Point Beach, waterfalls, etc. In Munising, there is a grocery store (Pat’s Foods), Family Dollar, a couple of hardware stores, and numerous restaurants. There is room to bring a boat if you have one and there is public access to Lake Superior within 5 miles of home. There is also room to bring snowmobile/ATV trailers, and then you can ride from the home to hit the trails. **Signed rental agreement and security deposit hold required for all reservations. The primary guest will need to upload a picture of a government-issued ID and list names and ages of all other guests in their group. **There are 2 exterior audio/video recording devices on the property. My stay here was everything I hoped for and more. The peace and quiet were immediate the moment I arrived—no distractions, just pure stillness surrounded by nature. Watching the sun set over Moss Lake was unforgettable, casting golden light across the trees and water. The site itself was exceptionally well-appointed with everything I needed—thoughtfully designed, clean, and comfortable. Sleeping was warm and cozy, with just the right touch of rustic charm and modern comfort. I especially loved using the outdoor kitchen setup—it made every meal feel like an experience, not a chore. Afternoons were best spent in the hammock, book in hand, listening to birdsong echo through the trees. It was the kind of setting that slows your heart rate and clears your mind. Craig was a wonderful and welcoming host—friendly, responsive, and clearly passionate about creating a peaceful, comfortable space for guests. I left feeling rested, grounded, and incredibly grateful for this little pocket of peace. Highly recommend to anyone looking to truly unplug and reconnect.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at the cabin on Craig’s land! It was absolutely beautiful and very peaceful and serene. We enjoyed the sauna and wood burning stove. Though we spent most of the 2 days we were here out and about hiking and enjoying the beaches, I would totally come back and do absolutely nothing but hang out at the cabin all day because it was that nice. Craig was a great host, very helpful and responsive. 10/10 stay would definitely come back!

This is a fun, solar-lit RV "Glamping" site for up to a 30 ft self-contained w/toilet camper; site is located in Rock, MI. Max 4 campers. The RV site makes a great homebase if you are adventure seeking in the central Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Rock is 34 miles from Escanaba and 46 miles from Marquette. Both cities offer great restaurants, unique breweries, art galleries, hiking, biking, and kayaking rivers and lakes. The site is approx. 5 mi away from access to the Escanaba River for kayaking/tubing/trout fishing (you need your own equipment). Ride your utv right from the site taking the county roads/2 rut roads out to the river for a nice ride or have fun playing in the mud right after the rain:) Play at your own risk! There is a convenience store for gas, beer, wine, food and the necessities located 4 miles away; along with a local restaurant/bar. The RV site offers a unique experience with all of its solar lighting to glamp up your camping experience in the woods. Take the time to connect with nature, enjoy the outdoor firefly dining, take a nature walk, a nap in a hammock, do outdoor yoga, listen to the birds and/or maybe you'll get a glimpse of the "Northern Lights". Rest, relax and rejuvenate. Wifi is sketchy. A pet is allowed on a leash; other dog is on property. Pickup dog waste. We have one campsite with an RV on it that we rent out and then we have a campsite right next to our camper than you can bring your own RV to. We have a hose for water and offer a 30A or 50A electric hook up for your camper at our campsite. Our camper can sleep up to 3 people and we are dog friendly for one dog up to 50lbs. Our property is located between Marquette and Negaunee, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We are 7 miles from downtown Marquette, 8 miles from the shores of beautiful Lake Superior and 53 miles from Pictured Rocks National Park. We are about 4 miles off of US 41 nestled in a quiet forest like setting. We built our home here in 2019 and are continually making improvements to the land. We tap our trees for maple syrup in the spring-you will drive by our "sugar shack" and raise chickens in our very nice coop -no roosters to awaken you! Come and enjoy some peace and quiet at our Northern Oasis! There is guest internet but its patchy in camping area-better closer to the house and large firepit area There is a charcoal grill near communal firepit area. We are near 2 river basins(McClure Basin and Dead River Basin) for fishing, swimming and boating ( kayaks and canoe for rent on this site-see extras! ) We are on the route of the Ore to Shore Mountain Bike epic and not far from the North Country Trail. We have options of open sites and a couple more private wooded sites. There are at least two areas for small campers and several choices for tents and/or hammocks.. There is a communal/central fire pit, picnic table area as well as a larger fire pit with picnic table closer to house. We have nice fire wood available on site -see "extras" or for purchase when you get here! There are yard games, extra chairs and a small table in the red shed. This can also be used as a storm shelter if needed! There is a "port-a-john" on site- extra TP is kept in red shed hanging on nail in a bag. Please let us know if this needs attention.

There is little to no elevation gain on the trail. The path is on the shorter side, measuring in at 1.4 miles. The Dufour Creek Trail is generally well-kept, though there can be a few muddy sections when it rains. The path leads through a forest of hemlocks and cedars, fully wooded yet easy to follow. You may also get a glimpse of the native wildlife along the way. Swimming Perhaps the biggest feature of the entire park is the designated swimming beach. The beach remains very popular with guests, due in part to the clean, sandy shoreline as well as the vast, cordoned-off swimming area filled with shallower waters. There are restrooms and showers on site, which also have a reputation for being clean and well-kept. Fishing Indian Lake in Michigan features large swaths of underwater vegetation, making this area a great place for fishing. This is especially true if you are looking for panfish, as you can expect to see plenty of species like bluegill, crappie, and the like. However, there are plenty of other kinds of fish available, including Walleye, Perch, Brown trout, Rock bass, Smallmouth bass, and Northern pike. You’ll find plenty of opportunities to cast your line, whether on the shore or out on the water. Boating Getting out onto the lake can be a peaceful experience. You won’t feel cramped, even when sharing the lake with others as there is plenty of room for everyone. With clear water beneath you and great weather, boating at Indian Lake makes for a great pastime.The lake is fairly shallow, with 90% of the area being less than 15 ft deep. The deepest point is 18 ft. Owners of larger boats should keep this in mind when traversing the lake. If you are looking for water access for paddle sports such as kayaking, there is a carry-on access located at Indian Lake State Park at the Western Shore Unit. We were married in 2016 and have four children as part of our blended family. We are both originally from the Upper Peninsula. Superior Times Resort and Campground was the result of us wanting to do something “outside of the box” that would allow us to raise our family and show them there is more out there than the traditional path. We also wanted showcase our love and respect for the beauty of the Upper Peninsula; the area that many refer to as “God’s Country.” In December of 2016, we mistakenly pulled into the driveway of this property. At that time, it was known as Coleman’s Paradise Resort. There was a For Sale sign marking the property. We both knew at that point our fate was sealed to become this property’s new owners. We learned that this property had been a family vacation destination for nearly 100 years. We could only imagine the special memories that had been made here over the years! We wanted to become a part of that deep history. Through the many years of the resort’s history, the owners had changed and the cabins were showing true signs of their age. We knew there was A LOT of work that simply had to be done. On a wing and prayer, we somehow made this great resort ours. In April of 2017, we opened what we named Superior Times Resort and Campground. We pulled up or sleeves and went to work! Our home was recently gutted down to the studs and completely remodeled. We opened up the living room/kitchen area and added a bathroom and brought the washer and dryer up to the main level. There’s a brand new 65” Roku TV in the living room and we have fiber optic wireless internet. We also added a tankless hot water heater so everybody gets a hot shower! We supply a crock pot, blender, drip coffee maker, and all the necessities to cook a meal at home. There’s a nice, large foyer with a bench and a shelf with hooks with plenty of room to store all your coats, bibs, helmets, boots, etc. -Separate rental agreement and security deposit hold required for all reservations.

Discover the unique charm of JoeIda Campground, a secluded retreat nestled in the heart of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Owned by Don and Leslie Edmunds, who have called Munising home for over thirty years, this campground offers a rare opportunity to enjoy camping in a tranquil setting surrounded by timber, allowing guests to experience both togetherness and solitude. The property, originally acquired from Leslie’s grandfather Joe and his wife Ida, holds a special place in the family’s history. After their passing, the couple’s legacy inspired the naming of the campground. Since opening in 2017, JoeIda has welcomed visitors from across the country and even as far as Sweden, fostering a sense of community among campers. Located just twenty-eight miles east of Munising and eighteen miles west of Grand Marais, JoeIda Campground is conveniently situated one mile south of Kingston Lake and one mile off Highway H58. The access road is primitive, making it ideal for tents, truck campers, and trailers under forty feet in length. While larger units have successfully accessed the campground, we recommend considering your towing experience. Our pet-friendly facility also permits off-road vehicles.
