This property will help you reground and connect with nature. I have added the necessities of life, while keeping the property as natural as possible. My goal is to share this great experience I’ve created with you and your family.
From the outdoor shower to the walking trails that weave through the woods and over Tibbet Creek you will love your stay!
A couple of the sites are more remote than others by design. Not all can be driven up to. The furthest would be approximately a 500’ walk. A wagon is available to carry your items to your site.
There is a large pond if you would like to fish or swim, and a John boat and a paddle boat to use also.
Each site has its own fire pit with a cooking grate. Firewood available for purchase on site.
Most sites are set with views of a water feature.

Welcome to Elmcrest Acres, located in an area known to locals as Devil's Creek. Originally this was a dairy farm started by my parents in the 40's. My dad had been selling Christmas trees since 1945 and when the milking got to be too much for my mom we converted it to a Christmas tree farm in 1979. Dave & I built our home here and continue the Christmas tree tradition as well as raise Haflinger horses, The sheep started as 4H projects for our kids in the 90's and now my daughter and I have a small flock. One thing seems to lead to another here and we opened the farm to visitors. We have a large space that can be used for family reunions, birthday parties etc and we offer a variety of classes and special events. (This will be the building where you can get water, use the bathroom and take emergency shelter if needed.) We also purchased my parents home from my siblings and rent it as a farm stay vacation spot. We really enjoy the variety of people we've hosted in one way or another, and love to share what our lives are like with others.While I love to travel myself, there is no where else I could call home! I love being able to enjoy all four seasons and knowing 5 cars on my road is a busy day. I hope you find the same sense of 'home' here that I do.Learn more about this land:Plenty of space to pitch your tent overlooking the Christmas tree field and a gorgeous view of the hardwood forests in the distance. Located just a half mile from our farm you will have complete privacy, but are welcome to come visit the animals. Site includes a fire ring and picnic table. Our 120 acres are located about 10 miles off the highway in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. There are state hiking and ATV trails within a couple of miles if you want to venture further than our property. Bring a camera as you will have plenty of opportunities to see wildlife. This campsite is remote and in a rural area, you never have to see another person if you choose not too. This is your best defense against Covid-19! I cannot emphasize enough how marvelous of a place this was! The property is absolutely stunning, incredible views. The most important part of finding somewhere to stay for us was privacy, traveling with our pet rooster a normal campground wouldn’t do. This site hit it out of the park- 120 acres all to ourselves! The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive, offering us anything that we could possible need. They had firewood prepared for us, and when we asked for more it magically appeared. The barn is a short drive away and had a nice bathroom, we were also able to fill up the water tank on our camper. Saw many deer in the area, also got to see a porcupine! We would stay here again in a heartbeat and are so grateful to Donna and her husband for sharing their magnificent land with us.

My first time camping and what an amazing experience. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. We camped in the sites further away that were specific to tents, and they have nice heavy duty wagons to help transport your camping items to your site. They also have a lovely little store with snacks and possible forgotten items as well as a gift shop. Clean bathrooms and showers on the main building and porta potty’s by the camping sites that were very clean as well. Can not recommend this place enough!

I had a great experience at CAMP Door County. The primitive site gave me the privacy and peace & quiet that I was looking for, while still having access to flushing toilets and clean, hot showers. The wagons they provide were sturdy and rugged, very helpful for loading in and out. The location was great for exploring many of the coastal towns and nearby state parks, and far enough out that I didn't feel like I was in the middle of a tourist trap. I would definitely stay here again, I wanted to try the sauna but had too much other stuff on my agenda! Also the staff were all super friendly although I didn't have any issues so didn't need to interact with them too much. Overall it was a great experience and I'm very glad I found this place!

Well maintained campground; lots of things are brand new! Will only get better as the trees fill in and improve the divisions between sites. We enjoyed the music performances and the camp bar. A great home base for Door County adventures.

We haven't been camping since we were kids...we spent a week at Camp Door County and it was amazing! Great site with all the amenities and hook ups. Staff super nice and helpful. Campground was clean and new. Loved the private showers, camp store, live music on several nights and the view of the nighttime sky was amazing! Highly recommend!!

The campsite on Donna's land was remote and peaceful. We loved being the only campsite!!! Donna and Dave stopped by when we arrived with water. It was great to be able to let our dog wander around without distractions from other campers or dogs. We hiked nearby waterfalls every day and the night sky was spectacular!
