Attention Campers for 2026: We experienced massive flooding at our campsite due to rain and snowmelt this Spring. We also sustained large tree loss on the property due to an ice storm. Due to this, the area beyond the main campsite is UNAVAILABLE until further notice. That includes the walking trail and swimming area. Main campsite area including fire pit and fishing hole are open. Swimming at the main site is available, but highly recommend water shoes or Crocs due to rocks.

This unique riverside retreat is located on the shores of the Plover River, on a dam remnant behind a former working mill. We have a small herd of dairy cows, 50 dairy/meat goats, a horse named Willow and mule named Molly, a couple pigs or chickens in the summer, lots of cats. We specialize in goats for meat. Grazing girls roam 30 acres of pasture close to camping. Our goats are very friendly. We are currently not milking goats. We sell eggs and meat from our farm store.
We have a spring fed 3 acre pond to paddle around if the water level is high enough. Fish for fun, swimming not recommended. Primitive tent and camper sites available. Pooh's Hideout is a woods cabin nestled in a park-like setting. Insulated with heat or AC, a full-size futon bed with convenient storage below. The shared full bathroom with a shower is located just 50 yards away in the barn.

Our site is on a modern dairy farm located along a state biking trail on gravel. On-site, we have indoor pickleball courts, a small tractor museum, access to a grain bin gazebo, and a corn crib with seating around a gas fire pit.
Also on-site is a basketball wagon and a merry-go-round for four. As part of the farm, there is a rental event space for parties of up to 120 people. It features viewing windows where guests can watch the cows being milked by robots.

The campsites are amazingly private! And the trails and grounds are nicely mowed and kept up. We really enjoyed the recreation room during our rainy day! The ping-pong, movies, games, and snacks made it a fun time instead of feeling trapped inside. Adam and Jackie were great hosts, quick to respond to questions and made sure we felt welcome.

Riverside Roost was perfect!
The beauty of the campsite was only surpassed by Kelli’s hospitality! The farm fresh eggs, Amish style bread, and homemade jelly were a nice extra touch!
We celebrated our anniversary during our stay, and Kelli gave us great restaurant recommendations.
We were able to explore with the kayaks. Stargazing was amazing (when it wasn’t raining)!
Above all, Kelli’s communication was excellent!

My son and I had a wonderful time! Michael is a great host and lives on beautiful land. He was super knowledgeable about the property and area. The fallen tree campsite can be a little damp as I suppose it takes a while to dry out being near the river. Being so close to the river is pretty epic though! Keep inventing, Michael! 😊

We had such a great stay! 🏕️ It was private, peaceful, and the perfect place to relax and enjoy some family time. Our boys absolutely loved the game room—it was definitely a plus!
The trails were beautiful and well kept, and the bathrooms and showers were very clean. We also got to do a little kayaking, and our dogs had the best time swimming and exploring. 🐾🛶
One of our favorite parts was the stargazing at night. ✨ So peaceful and beautiful! Overall, it was a wonderful camping experience for our whole family, including the pups. We would definitely come back!

We cannot recommend the Old Red Mill Oasis and it's (currently) four campsites enough. We arrived later in the night and Michael still greeted us with a smile and a tour of the grounds.
The next morning we were able to get a better look at our site, Central Woodland Fern Site #2, and we could not have been happier. Michael has poured his heart into these sites, and it shows. The entire campground is clean and well spaced out. It is filled with hidden spaces to enjoy - benches scattered with a river view, rope swing chairs tucked into a wooded area, and little clearings with chairs, benches, and hammocks to relax.
A mailbox filled with area things to do is at each site, but if you don't want to leave the Oasis, you can enjoy the little paths throughout the campground or a campfire next to the river.
Michael is a great host and full of knowledge of the area. He provides a clean portapotty (which was appreciated) and has firewood available on site. There is also kayaking/canoeing on the river. There is very limited cell coverage, which isn't a bad thing.
Our stay was very relaxing and just what we needed. The Red Mill Oasis sets the bar high for what hipcamp sites should be. We will be making this a yearly stay, at the least.

The shower point and rinse of station was super helpful for washing pots and fill up water cans and such. They have wood and great campfire capability. We had the most wonderful stay at the Old Red Mill Oasis. The pictures don’t do justice for all of the unique and beautiful things you will find on this property. There’s perfectly made trails with fun swings and benches to hangout at, a beautiful dam, amazing views, communal areas with games, large unique campsites, kayaking and tubing. The wonderful owner puts a lot of love and care into what he does and he truly thinks of everything. We stayed at the “Fallen Tree” site which has fun hammocks, easy access to the water, and a unique fallen tree that offers a lot of privacy. Whether you’re looking to relax and enjoy nature or have fun on the water with your family, this is the place to go! Bring your pets, our dog loved it too. Our stay for our anniversary will be one to remember and cherish. We will definitely be returning.
