This property and farm has been in our family for 3 generations. In 1964 my grandfather started the campground due to limited camping at New Germany. My father tells stories of it being filled with guests all summer long! Over the years there was few upgrades and now it's in need of a facelift. Landscaping, electric upgrades and bathhouse remodels were completed Spring 2021. We will continue to renovate in phases it's been a labor of love, but you can still see the beauty of this rural location and enjoy the peace and quiet. Hope you enjoy your stay. Lots of trees, shade and nature. It's located near New Germany State Park, 1.5 miles by car, less than a mile by foot. The state park has a lake and hiking trails. Garrett County has so much to offer, waterfalls, lakes, hiking, skiing, Amish gifts, history, fresh air, beautiful scenery. The campground was first started in 1964 by my grandparents, we are currently completing renovations in phases.

There is evidence of civil war activity here and the old river ford is on our property. Creek and river access make this a beautiful, peaceful place that is full of life. The energy here is overwhelmingly positive. Our house was built in the 1850s and the neighboring farm was built shortly after—lots of history on this property. You will be able to camp right next to Glade Creek which is always cool, clean, and refreshing. Our goal with opening the land up for camping is to eventually phase out commercial farming on the property and transform it into woodlands using native plants and trees. We've already started by planting hundreds of native tree species along the creek and river banks. Each camper gets us closer to that goal! Thanks for your support! Taneytown, 1836, has an extraordinary antique store that is a delight to browse; as well as fine dining, drive through, an open air beer garden and close by grocery stores. Homemade ice cream is found at Baugher's and Hoffmans in Westminster. Baugher's Orchard has "pick your own" available. There is a mini farm animal petting zoo at the orchard. Additional things to see: Boating in Carroll County Maryland. Local wineries Ski Liberty Carroll is a full service county whatever your needs. Jug Bay wetlands, wineries, fun little waterfront towns and Bay front restaurants all within easy reach. Check out individual sites for description, each has its own personality. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. First listing actually has several options. For large campers/coach/fifth wheelers the area by the tractor shed will be the best. Around the corner there's two other choices both with firepits which will accommodate units up to 40 feet depending on your backing/maneuvering skills. Field of Dreams and Sycamore Ridge will accommodate campers under 25 feet with some backing/maneuvering skills. For those with 4WD and an off-road camper/trailer/tent choose Off the Grid, two entrances for easy access, travel along a logging road to an open site with fire pit. Campsite is located on a 12 plus acre family horse farm. There is a patch of woods with a small creek that runs through it. We are located 10 minutes from Rock State Park, Eden Mill Nature Center, and the MA and PA walking trail. We are 20 minutes from Jerusalem Mill Village. You can hike, bike, climb, and swim at 2 or more of these locations. Tucked Away Acres is just that, we are tucked away behind other houses. The property backs up to power lines where deer can be seen often. We offer a large fire pit, horse shoe pit, small playground, trampoline, swings, and a small zip line over the creek in the woods. Horseback riding is available on certain weekends only (weight limit of 180 lbs) for an extra charge. Type of riding depends on skill level, leadline to guided trail ride. This is the second time that my family and I have stayed at this site. We liked it so much that we brought friends this time! The location is incredible and Greg is an outstanding Camp host. He’s quickly responsive to all of our questions and needs. He absolutely goes above and beyond to make the stay special and especially to find ways to make it really fun for our kids. May daughter loves seeing the resident cats and Greg’s very chill dogs.I also appreciate how flexible he was when some of our plans changed. I will be back to this site many times.

It had all of the amenities we needed (campfire grate for cooking, unlimited wood, picnic table and benches), and the campsites had enough distance apart from each other. I didn’t get to meet Scott in-person but he was very communicative and accommodating for me and my dogs. I will definitely be coming back!

Easy to find site but definitely have an off road capable vehicle to cross the stream. Low slung sedans won't make it Camp site was clean, flat, and private. Only major criticism is easier access to the Porta John. You need to drive back across the stream to get to it as the sewer pipe cannot be used to walk across. Driving out isn't always a option with tents in the way. My other personal opinion is the fire ring could be bigger. Seemed too small for such a large site

Had a great time tent camping here! The site was the perfect size and nicely situated next to the creek and away from other sites. We had a little trouble finding our way to the site but we were in the dark 😅 had no trouble crossing the river and the area felt very safe. Would recommend!

Overall, this was a great camping spot — beautiful views and an easy walk to the river. The only downsides were that it could’ve been cleaned up a bit more (some faded signs and a little trash here and there), and our site was closer to the road than expected, so there was some traffic noise. And while not the campground’s fault, there were so many spiders! That said, I’d still be more than likely to come back — no place is perfect, and that’s part of the camping experience!

It was a very private grassy campsite and easy to find. There were no issues with crowing roosters. West left a good bit of firewood for the chilly night and two jugs of water. There was lots of space to walk off-leash with the dog towards the back of the property.
