It sits on 35 acres, 4 acres of field and the rest is wooded with a sweet small creek that leads to a series of beaver dams. At the end of the property you can get a distant view of Mt Washington. This Hip Camp site has just added the option to rent a Jayco Popup Camper and now has an outhouse on site 1. Be there first to explore. There is a cleared trail with several nice camping spots. And if you want to explore more. Near by you can either visit a quaint town called Lisbon Falls which offers some lovely outdoor activities or go to Lewiston/Auburn and venture into the twin cities. Peary’s Community Garden is a private garden area on our land with several small garden plots. Amenities include webber charcoal grill, Solo fire pit, with limited firewood, picnic tables, outhouse, non potable water, wide gravel access road, field and forest walking trails. Pets on leash ok. Short walk to vegetable and flower farm stand at entrance to Sadie Lane. Single site is near end of 500’ Sadie Lane, a private gravel road. 1/4 mile from I-295 exit. Kilene was an awesome host. We booked in winter and she called us right away to make sure we could get to the site. She was out of town when we booked and even called a local to get a snow report for us before we drove up. The site itself is super private but not too far from town, and there's a nice fire pit we didn't get to use. I'd definitely recommend this place and we'll be staying again.

This is one of those rare finds that you don’t want to leave. Our campsite was on a grassy knoll overlooking the river/lake and surrounded by acres of lawn. We could watch the water from our bed. Just beautiful. My husband enjoyed a chat with the owner and got some of the history of the place. Our dog was in doggy heaven.

Great car camping site and awesome hosts, super friendly and welcoming, Shane made sure I had fire wood and recommended that I take a short walk down to the pond in the morning to catch the sunrise and it did not disappoint! Gorgeous! I was only there for one night for a quick solo camping trip to go visit the Dambo trolls in the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens also highly recommended going there during your stay!

Weekend Trip to Field of Faith on Lodge Hill

Thank you for a lovely stay! Ken and Marley made us feel so welcomed the moment we arrived on the property that it felt like we were greeting and old friend. They even delivered our ice and firewood right to our site. Our pup Mabel had the time of her life tunning and playing in the field, although a bit too much at times, tossing all obedience out the window and inviting herself into the barn, where she was greeted with laughter and a few pats from fellow campers. All was forgiven immediately and it was was a beautiful night to sit by the fire under the most amazing view of the stars! Such a peaceful place to be that Mabel, stubborn as ever, laid down limp in protest when it was time to leave!

I always love staying at this HipCamp - am a repeat camper here. It is actually my favorite Hipcamp. Sarah takes a great deal of care to make it nice, with a container of fresh water, a compost toilet, wood for the fire left in various sizes ranging from kindling to bigger logs. It is private and peaceful, and my dogs and I enjoy it immensely.

We loved camping at Kilene's hipcamp site. You feel like you are in the forest nestled in the trees and yet only a short walk or bike ride to the ocean. The fire pit was perfect with plenty of downed wood provided by Kilene. The directions provided were spot on, easy to follow and our host was always prompt to respond to messages. We give it a 10 out of 10!

Sometimes I resist writing a good review because we all want to keep hidden gems hidden. I love this place. The location was easy to find, close to groceries and gas, and the host couldn’t be more welcoming, warm and gracious. We tented with a lake view which gave us access to the bathhouse. Not heated, but hot showers. The property is clean and well maintained, with beach and water access. Will be back again!

We spent an amazing couple nights tenting out right next to the Androscoggin River at John's 3rd camp site. Our hosts were wonderfully welcoming and accommodating — when we arrived we found our canoe that we rented was already waiting for us by the river's edge. Which is truly a must if you visit here as there is plenty to explore offshore. If the water doesn't entice you, there are also over 12 miles of trails a rock throw from the site that you are able to explore. Because of the kindness and helpfulness of our hosts, the undeniably beautiful views of the river (add on the fall foliage as a major perk), as well as the ability to explore an amazing area, is why we have full intensions of coming back again.
