You can add it on if you wish at $20 per night. You will need a long extension, and it is 20 amps. I have water for your holding tank. Sorry, no sewer. This is an excellent spot for a short stay. It is good if you need to be here a couple of days prior to your campground stay! I have been enjoying hosting campers here for the past two seasons. I can't wait to meet you! This is my third season here.

While we do not offer rentals, we do offer guided trail rides to those bringing their own horse. Hip Camp seems to be a perfect way to expand! Arbor Camp is a collection of thoughtfully designed cabins and treehouses set on 30 private acres in the Maine woods offering a secluded forest retreat on the Union River—private and peaceful, yet just minutes from the shops, restaurants, and year-round charm of downtown Ellsworth. Located 30 minutes north of Acadia National Park, it’s an ideal base for exploring the mountains, woods, lakes, and rugged shoreline that define Downeast Maine. With nearly half a mile of river frontage, a stream, and over a mile of hand-cut walking trails, Arbor Camp’s thirty acres provide ample space to unwind without leaving the grounds. Two cabins and a treehouse sit in an open field with wide views of the river and its passing wildlife. The remaining treehouses are thoughtfully spaced across 25 acres of quiet forest, offering privacy and a sense of deep immersion in the trees. Many enjoy filtered river views through the canopy. Each season brings its own pleasures: temperate summer days and cool, starlit evenings; fall foliage and crisp air; the stillness of snow-covered woods in winter; and, in spring, a quiet reawakening as color and life return to the forest. Arbor Camp began in 2022, when three friends came together to build a quiet place in the woods. Thirty acres along the Union River in Ellsworth offered the space—and the inspiration—for something lasting. The project was shaped by Maine’s camp tradition: simple, seasonal dwellings that invite stillness, comfort, and connection to the land. We followed the path of an old roadbed to guide our layout, preserving as many trees as possible. Cabins and treehouses are spaced for privacy and quiet, and walking trails were cut by hand to follow the natural shape of the land. Wildlife is part of daily life here. Songbirds call from the canopy. Heron and eagles pass overhead. Deer move through the understory, and turkeys wander the clearings. Mushrooms—chanterelles, black trumpets, and others—rise through the forest floor in season. From the start, the idea was simple: to create a place that feels good to step into. Each of us brought different experiences—design, building, creative work—but shared a clear vision: spaces that are well made, deeply comfortable, and in tune with their surroundings.

We enjoyed the beach, and I would highly consider coming back at a warmer time. The campsite we stayed at wasn’t as big as it looked in photos, so there was some maneuvering near the old house to fit our two tiny trailers. It was an hour to the main Acadia entrance, but so beautiful out there. If camping in tick season, bring spray and check your dogs. We were covered. Beach was 100/10.

The site itself is right by the road, that seems to be used fairly regularly. The outhouse is pretty good, kept clean. It gets the job done when you need it, haha. There was a little bit of grass to walk our dog, though if we went into the semi wooded area we got multiple ticks on us (I know it was definitely season for them though), so we tried not to do that. The site was level, though the power and grey water disposal were a little confusing to figure out. William was definitely nice and helpful in getting them figured out. We had a lot of errands in the area, so it was a great place to park and sleep, but that’s about what I’d recommend it for, personally. It was very quick and easy access into Bangor.

You go for the wide open space and the great view! The site is no more than a port a potty, fire ring, and picnic table, AND it was perfect. It’s very private, quiet, and more than spacious. If fresh air and solitude is your vibe, this is the place for you. The host was in contact shortly reservation and the directions from the host get you where you need to be. I’d stay again.

This truly is a private oasis. We did not see a single person when staying at Raphaele’s land! The view of the water was awesome, but with a quick hike through the mossy forest you’re down by the water for an even better view. We took our camper trailer, beware you do have to back in from the road with trailers, but it was worth it. We were able to watch harbor seals catching fish at high tide, and the birding is amazing with forest and ocean birds in the same view. The outdoor shower was great, and the sink was nice to wash dishes in. For our camper we had electricity and water. This is a really cool spot with great views and animal activity. I highly recommend if you like privacy and the great outdoors!
