Weekend Trip to Trace Space KY

We really can’t say enough good things about this space and the host. The space is incredibly relaxing and comfortable. The birdwatching is amazing. And the garden was beautiful. My wife spent the weekend identifying and researching all of the plants in the garden. We were visited each day by a variety of birds including (but not limited to) Red Headed Woodpeckers, Orchard Orioles, Brown Thrashers, Cardinals, Cedar Waxwings, and many others. MJ was incredibly friendly and accommodating, answering any question we had very quickly. She is simply the most thoughtful and kind host. We highly recommend staying here.

3 nights at Ohio River Private Paradise

What an honor it was to stay here on Hollys Ohio River Paradise Pavilion! This place is gorgeous & pictures simply don't do it justice! The Pavilion itself gave an extra cozy feel for an easy camp kitchen set up & area to hang out & stay dry when the weather just isn't cooperating. There was more than plenty of room to set up our tent, & even with a cabin just a short distance away & within site there was plenty of trees and natural cover to tuck away & not be seen if you want a more private feel (we had the property all to ourselves so that didn't matter much to us). There is a nice and clean outhouse to use as well! The campsite is just a short walk from the river with beautiful views of the river from the campsite area itself. The fire ring was large & could hold a good size fire that several people could sit around. It was just 2 of us & it was quiet & secluded but the area is large enough that it would be an amazing group camp site. We enjoyed watching the barges & there is a train but we maybe only heard it 3-5 times the whole weekened. If your going for the fishing come prepared because it's a harder area to fish unless your experienced. Luckily we had everything we needed & caught a couple blue cats & striped bass. We also enjoyed a variety of birds & listening to the owls at night. So you may ask, beautiful place with a view, fishing, wild life, and privacy. How could it be better. The answer is Holly. She is kind, helpful, responsive, and makes you feel at home!

2 nights at Treehouses, Off the Grid!

Staying in a tree house has always been a dream of mine, and this one was fabulous. The house was great as was the area surrounding: fire pit, hammock and swing. We spent many hours on the trails and especially enjoyed Jacob's Ladder trail. There was peace of mind knowing the whole property was fenced in. We felt very safe and our dog loved walking the trails off leash with us. Bad weather rolled in our last night, and Shelly was very communicative, making sure we were aware of the watches and warnings, and giving options for where to head if we felt we were in danger.

Lovely location. Pretty and serene area. We had everything we needed and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Ohio River Private Paradise

Enjoy our private paradise with over 800 feet of riverfront on 17 acres along the banks of the beautiful Ohio River. We have a great landing for fishing, swimming, or kayaking. The sunsets are fantastic and the night sky incredible! Behold the barges passing by on the river as you unwind and relax in the peacefulness of nature! This is a primitive camp with three sites available for you to consider. We are dog friendly and allow all supervised, friendly dogs to be off leash. Some things to know: We will provide a key code close to your arrival time so you can enter the gate by the road. If you are coming by river, we will put a flag on our landing. You can drive your vehicle right down to the sites. The farm is flat and easily navigated as long as it is dry. There will be a 5 gallon cooler of potable water for you to use. More water is available if we are at the property. We have 2 outhouses located on either end of the property. This is a primitive camp. Please pack out all your trash and leave no trace. 2 kayaks with paddles and life jackets are available for an additional fee, but we need ample notice. Firewood is plentiful by the river in the form of driftwood. We have some wood under a black tarp by the pavilion fire pit available for an additional fee. We have one neighbor who can make some noise with ORVs especially on weekends. Activities in the area include: 4 nature preserves The Conservancy properties Adams Lake State Park Lynx Prairie Serpent Mound Cedar Falls Moondoggie Livery Shawnee State Park Shawnee State Forest with over 60,000 acres and 8.000 acres of wilderness. Close to Adventure

My place is secluded and peaceful. Its a wooded country setting and is a primitive site. There are no facilities or utilities, there is an outhouse/self composting (follow up your business with dropping leaves in after). It may not be suitable for children as there are active brush/wood burn piles on the land. See all photos and ask questions, please. I want it to be enjoyable for all who book. It’s also noteworthy that there are dogs in the area that roam free, it’s way out in the country, there are no leash laws. I’ve never had any issues with unfriendly dogs, but always be aware. It’s at a dead end road, no thru traffic. You can stay and enjoy some amazing stargazing, (there is minimal lighting and a very dark, clear view of the night sky) and lots of peace and quiet or explore the Daniel Boone National Forest surrounding the property or travel a short distance and see so many nearby amazing areas…Red River Gorge, Natural Bridge State Park, NADA Tunnel, Sky Bridge, Cave Run Lake, Twin Knobs and Zilpo Recreation Areas, Carter Caves State Park, Grayson Lake, Rudy’s Ranch. Now, he is content with building a few treehouses! I have wanted a tree house since I was 10 years old. My siblings and I would spend hours make believing our own tree houses of twigs, rock and moss. It was where we felt at peace. When I turned 35 I knew something was missing in my life. I returned to doing fun adventures again and one led to another and we found tree climbing.
