Spend your days kayaking, fishing, tubing, or simply relaxing beside the river. The surrounding area is full of Kentucky gems—Mammoth Cave, Cave City, Nolin Lake, Green River Lake, Diamond Caverns, and more—all just a short drive away.
We’re a pet-friendly property because we know adventures are better with your furry friends. Campfires are welcome, and we even provide firewood to make your evenings extra cozy. You’ll also find portable toilets and two centrally located showers (naturally warmed by the sun!) for your convenience.
IMPORTANT: We do not accept late-night bookings or late arrivals. All guests must arrive by 6 PM local time.
This allows us to personally greet you and guide you to your glamping site or campsite. If something unexpected comes up and you’re concerned about arriving late, please send us a message in advance—we’ll do our best to help. ** please note we have a few site options for camping which we are happy to tell you more about! Large RVs and campers are welcome but will likely want to stay in the area before our bridge (we are happy to send pictures). Long campers and RVs that are low to the ground may scrape / bottom out going across the bridge.
WARNING: The driveway leading to the campsite is a long, steep, gravel driveway with a concrete bridge at the bottom. The bridge also has fairly steep embankments on both sides (entering and exiting) with a turn heading into the site. A 4WD vehicle will be necessary for anyone pulling an RV as we have had at least one guest get stuck halfway up the hill when exiting with a two-wheeled truck with a V8 engine pulling a small RV.
In addition, you will likely need a brake-control system installed for coming down the hill. Front-wheel drive vehicles with high clearance should be satisfactory to cross the bridge and exit the steep hill as long as you are not pulling an RV.

What a great spot. Very private and a perfect place to camp. The site is sat between 2 creeks and our young boys (2 and 4) absolutely loved exploring every bit of it. The hosts were very nice and provided firewood! Will definitely be coming back.

Misty Bottoms is hands down one of the best campsites where we’ve ever stayed The site is incredibly well-maintained and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable, relaxing stay.
The grassy area was perfect for our tent (and great for RVs too), and we really appreciated the electric hookup and potable water access. The bathroom was impressively clean, with a hot shower and even toiletries provided — a rare find at most campsites!
We loved gathering around the fire pit in the evenings (firewood included!) and spending time in the shelter, which had everything from hammocks, tables, and even a refrigerator. It was a great spot to hang out, rain or shine.
The views of the sky were stunning — clear and wide open, perfect for stargazing, and the sunrise and sunset over the Green River were absolutely magical. The whole environment was peaceful and quiet — ideal for a relaxing getaway.
Hosts Travis and Tena were incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They clearly care about making this a special place for visitors, and it shows.
We will definitely be returning. We highly recommend Misty Bottoms to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipped nature retreat!

Absolutely fantastic stay! The kids roamed free and loved the animals. We hiked up the creek, which was so gorgeous and found the “witch’s” shed. Kevin was such a lovely host. We enjoyed getting to know him and the pets! We will definitely be back in the summer to swim in the creek and river.

We loved camping on Keven's property! It was a gorgeous spot right next to the Kentucky River. There was a beautiful creek for the kids to explore. Keven was super helpful and welcoming. There were some friendly donkeys, goats, and a couple of horses all on the property, which made this trip pretty memorable for the kids. Overall we had a great time and would definitely return.

We arrived at sunset, it was a beautiful drive and the site was really nice.
The driveway was a little rough as explained in the summary, but we drove slow and were able to navigate it pretty easily in our kia soul. There was a nice firepit and large logs to burn; and the stars out there were amazing!
It's a little far out, but there is a dollar general close by and a walmart only abt 15min away near an interstate.

Keven was a wonderful host! The property had lots of friendly horses, donkeys, and goats that made the stay extra special. The campsite itself was smooth and sandy, perfect for relaxing, and we loved having easy access to the river for fishing and exploring. Such a beautiful and peaceful spot — highly recommend!

Very peaceful. Beautiful scenery, close to the river. Kevin was a friendly and helpful host. The wildlife was wonderful, especially the birdsong in the morning. And to top it off, there were friendly, healthy, horses, goats, donkeys, and mules wandering around the pastures. They like to be petted. I enjoyed camping there very much!
