Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid. We are 6 miles from Lake Lanier and the Chattahooce River, and a short drive to hiking/mountain biking trail heads. We have a wonderful bathhouse with restrooms, showers and laundry just a very short walk from our sites (maintained by the staff at the park). We're also pet-friendly and love our furry campers! Just add the pet fee for each pet in the extras section at check out or send us an email letting us know ahead of time and we will get that added. We just ask that you do not leave your pet alone in the tents at any time unless properly crated. You are financially responsible for any damage that is done to our accommodations by your pets.

It was originally the water source for the surrounding properties prior to the city installing a water system. The river is controlled flow and usually at low water from dawn to about 2 pm, ideal for fishing or swimming/wading/boulder bopping. The River release schedule is available online at the website TVA.gov. The River has swift current when the dam is opened for release, usually daily. This property is conveniently located in Mineral Bluff, Georgia 30559, just 4 miles off the 4-lane highway (Highway 515/76) and just a short drive to Blue Ridge, Georgia; Blairsville, Georgia; Murphy, North Carolina, McCaysville, Georgia and Copper Hill, Tennessee. It is a paved road drive all the way to the entrance. It is located just a few miles from the center of downtown Blue Ridge with art galleries, many restaurants, brew pubs, shopping, the Blue Ridge Brewing Company, Mercier Orchard, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad, and more! The Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad runs most of the year from Blue Ridge to McCaysville, right along the Toccoa River. The campsites are equally close to downtown McCaysville, Ga. /Copper Hill, TN. Another great trip to the Cove! For anyone who comes right after us, we set up your first fire logs in the firepit. We brought our own firewood but you’ll find enough logs in the wood crib to do about two fires, plus the giant stumps that are great to prolong the fire if you can get one going. George also has a bale of pine straw in there which is super helpful to get a fire started. My whole review is about fires, can you tell it was cold while we were there haha! Saw several deer and hawks. Lots of stars and quiet.

Weekend Trip to Herzen Platz (a place in the Heart)

We had a great stay at Hertzen Platz. The tent was very spacious and as comfortable as the photos and previous guests conveyed. Gary was a welcoming host who clearly cares about the land and delivering a top-notch experience, breakfast was awesome as well!

Great spot. The property is beautiful and the shelter makes for an easy stay.

You are definitely in the mountains now! shelter is hand crafted from all rough sawn locally sourced wood from the site or from Fannin County forests.

Perfect for rugged camping but with shelter & a shower! Feels secluded, but you still have cell service & civilization nearby in case you need anything. Also lots of historical sites nearby. Caught a few fish in the pond & enjoyed cooking over the fire. Cabin & bathroom were clean and owners were extremely nice! Would love to come back in summer so I can enjoy the flowers!

This is such a gorgeous and relaxing spot. The cabin is clean and roomy and the outhouse is pretty nice lol! One of the best parts is that the dogs got to be off leash around the site. It was a perfect way to spend a few chilly October night. We had everything we needed: a fire pit to keep warm, cozy blankets in the cabin, and forest sounds to keep us company. I highly recommend giving this spot a try. George is a phenomenal host who was available immediately when I called him with a question. 10/10 would come back!!

Our stay at Hertzen Platz was absolutely wonderful! The host was warm and welcoming, making sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The tent was cozy and beautifully set up… it was comfortable, clean, and full of thoughtful touches. The surrounding area was stunning, peaceful, and the perfect place to relax and unwind. Breakfast was delicious!! We truly loved every part of our stay and would definitely return again.

My fur baby and I enjoyed our stay at Gary's adorable camping site! Gary was so accommodating even though I had booked the site last minute😊 The homemade breakfast delivered to the yurt was so delicious! Definitely recommend staying and enjoying the beautiful location!

Weekend Trip to Running Water Creek

First time camping ever and we were absolutely blessed by this site! It was such a wonderful way to ease ourselves into camping, everything was super accessible while still maintaining our privacy and allowing us to fend for ourselves just a bit lol I would recommend bringing extra blankets and pillows, thankfully we did and it made a world of a difference. Would so come back!

Weekend Trip to White Oak Pastures

Loved the very private campsite and the farm is amazing. Can explore anywhere on the property and don’t have to leave for anything if you just want to explore and hike. Will definitely be back when I want to just unplug and relax. All amenities provided. And while it’s a bit expensive for camping it’s more like having your own private cabin. Highly recommend!
