Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location.
But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future.
However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families.
As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch.
You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! It’s up to you. We are a peaceful, safe location from which you can stage your Florida adventure. Come on by. We look forward to hosting you!

Park your van/small RV or pitch your tent on our rural homestead conveniently located 1000 ft off of US Hwy 1. Nearest I-95 exit is 3 miles away. Watch rocket launches, visit nearby beaches, attend NASCAR races, see local communities, relax at Canaveral National Seashore, birdwatch at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, fish Mosquito Lagoon, or visit the amusement parks of Orlando, we are a safe and quiet location from which to stage your adventures. We have two campsites. Site 1 is a nice level, grassy campsite for tent or RV, complete with a fire ring, picnic table, and firewood. Site 2 is the Glamping Greenhouse! We aren't fancy, but are clean, secure, and private. You can come and go as you please, and day-trip all over beautiful central Florida!

Weekend Trip to Runaway Bay Lodge
I recently had the pleasure of using Hi-Camp for my first camping experience, and it was truly exceptional!
Kennedy and Kristina were outstanding hosts, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Kennedy, in particular, graciously waited for us to arrive well past our scheduled check-in time, providing us with a warm welcome and a comprehensive tour of the campsite.
The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, and falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the lake waves was just what I needed to unwind. I couldn't have asked for a better getaway experience. I highly recommend Kennedy’s Land to anyone looking for a serene escape into nature!

This place was incredibly magical. The greenhouse was beautiful and private. Close to beaches but in the woods. Bed was super comfortable. We met the hosts and they were very kind and accommodating. Would definitely love to stay again!

1 night at Runaway Bay Lodge
This is a great spot! Incredibly relaxing and full of fresh air. I loved laying out on the deck, fishing, and having a safe place to spend the night with nature on the other side of the door. The site comes plenty of amenities (hot shower, window AC units, indoor plumbing, stovetop burners, microwave, and fridge among other things).
The owners have done a great job decorating the place, making functional and comfortable living spaces, and are just genuinely nice and sweet people. I had a great time and will be back!

Amazing stay!! There was a storm which is usually a downside. Being able to stay in the greenhouse and see and listen to the rain outside was absolutely perfect. The host was very accommodating and checked in to see if anything was needed. I would definitely recommend for a nice reset!

Our stay at Runaway Bay was delicious in every way! From the moment we stepped onto the property we could feel the care that Kennedy and Christina take in meeting the needs of each guest. It was our gift to ourselves for our first night as husband and wife to step out of our comfort zones and Runaway Bay was the perfect physical and energetic space to begin our journey as a couple. We had the most amazing stay at this site! From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel right at home, and the experience only got better from there.
The breathtaking water views were the highlight of our trip—waking up to that serene scenery each day was such a treat. We spent our days paddleboarding on the lake, playing pool, and relaxing in the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed, making it so easy to cook and enjoy meals together.
We spent NYE here and left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning our return. This place is an absolute gem, and we can’t wait to come back!

We loved our stay! This place has such a unique charm, and Kennedy was very kind and accommodating. The tent was spacious, and it was so nice to fall asleep to the sounds of the water. We loved hanging out watching all the wildlife on the water, and the sunsets were so beautiful and right in front of the tent! It was such a relaxing and rejuvenating stay, we would definitely come back! The shared kitchen space was well stocked with cooking utensils which was very helpful. Thank you!

I mean it can’t get better than this. Right on the water of Lake George and one of the prettiest sunsets I’ve ever seen. Mid November is the perfect time to be in the waterside tent 🥰 We did not have access to the hot tub or dock due to the recent hurricanes but yet Kennedy found a way to make sure the vibes were still unmatched. Will most likely return!
